Such a great gem in midcity!! Andrea has been cutting my hair for YEARS. I would have it no other way!! She is the BEST!!

This is a review of the salon owner, Andrea. She was rude and argumentative during our appointment when I showed her a picture of the color I desired. This continued when I asked her for a certain hair cut and she responded "well, that's dream hair, you'd don't have enough hair for that!" At one point she was frustrated with her staff and cursed them in front of me. I was not happy with the either the color or cut and asked for a full refund. She defended herself and then proceeded to give me a partial refund of $170, half of the service charge. She kept the entire tip, which amounted to $68. I asked for a full refund again. She never responded. Then my bank and I reached out to her and and she hung up the phone. She has not communicated with me further.At this point, I want to warn anyone before booking an appointment with Andrea. She is nice enough upfront. However, you may run into issues getting the color you want. I found it uniquely difficult to communicate with her. She also takes a very time. She is not efficient, forgetting things frequently through out our appointments. She took 4 hours to cut and color my hair and would have needed more to complete the blow out. I couldn't stand being in the chair any longer. I have never published a bad review for any business but her unprofessionalism merits it.

I have never had a short and curly haircut as good as this. Chelsea was AMAZING. And the place is affordable so I can go back for more. She used a razor only on my hair - no scissors - and it came out so well she left it curly. Didn't even blow it out. It's an up and coming area with lots of coffee shops and restaurants near by where you can show off your do after the fact. Just make sure to make an appointment online a while in advance. It's a small shop and they fill up fast.

I finally went to get rid of my super long "Covid" hair and Jo did a perfect job, and I mean perfect! I showed her some pictures of what I was going for. She asked for feedback along the way. It's exactly what I wanted and I'm so happy with the results! The salon is very clean with a pleasant atmosphere and Jo is engaging and fun.

I can't say enough good things about this salon. Their prices are clear when you book online, if you mistaken the service when booking, they are sure to clarify. McKenzie is still rocking her haircuts. She ensures she's clear about your vision before she goes to town. She has exceeded my expectations each time. I walk out loving my hair. She rocked it this last time!

A fantastic experience. I had been getting my haircut at the same place for years, so I was a little hesitant to try somewhere new. I really needed a haircut one day and thought I would give it a shot. That was well over a year ago and it is now the only place where I go for a cut. If Andrea is not available then one of the other stylists take care of me just the same. Glad to say that I will continue going to Sweet Olive.

Sweet Olive is the best! It's a warm, welcoming space and all the stylists are fantastic. Andrea is a wizard with color and you can't go wrong with anyone else there too!

Took a chance and came here for the first time to make a big change. Andrea totally put me at ease through the whole experience and I've gotten a lot of compliments on the cut!

I've been entrusting my old guy head to Andrea for years, and it's always a pleasure and a terrific cut! The whole place is just so welcoming and beautiful and fun.. We are pals, so I suppose I have a built in prejudice, but so be it! You will emerge looking and feeling a whole lot better than when you went in!

Absolutely everything about my haircut is wrong. I asked for 3 specific things and they were all very basic. None of them were followed and I have a cut that falls into my eyes, is chunky in weird places and by the time I got home, I was frizzed out all over. Never again.
