Yeah we had a power outage but we still put on one of the best Super Bowls ever! It is a great testament to how well we do big events that even with a 30min+ delay almost all of the fans would say that was the best Super Bowl they have ever been to.The NFL keeps pouring more and more funds into their premier game. The Dome was filled with NFL execs, SB-only amenities, and tons of security guards.I can't imagine any other past SB having as many volunteers as this SB. The Dome and surrounding streets were literally covered with volunteers from greeters to ppl assisting with directions. Volunteers also were plentiful inside the Dome passing out programs and other free items. The NFL also paid for a SB Teammate Pep Rally held on the Dome floor. That was the best pep rally ever as there were thousands of volunteers and staff there. The Mayor, Tom Benson, Fred McAfee, Michael Lewis, Akiem Hicks, and the Saintsations were all there! Free food and drinks also were provided to us by the NFL.The game, itself, was awesome as it was a closely contested game in the end. Lots of memorable moments in this game. The Sandy Hook Choir and Jennifer Hudson starting the game off was super special and emotional. Then Beyonce did it big at halftime! The concession food at the Dome is better than most other stadiums as we serve jambalaya, gumbo, po-boys, etc.Everyone knows that no one can compete with New Orleans when it comes to hosting the NFL's premier event. We know how this thing works and have proven it each time. Plus the Dome's proximity to the convention center (where the NFL has events prior to the SB) and the French Quarter is a great bargaining chip when bidding on Super Bowls. You can walk to everything! Can you do that in Miami, S.F., NY, Chicago (sorry Chicago but I still have tons of love for ya), Houston, Dallas, or any other NFL city? NOPE!!!We got SPIRIT, yes we do. We got SPIRIT, how bout you? Sorry Kraft for stealing your cheese but hey it's true. NOLA got that boom boom!

First time at Cesar's Superdome. This stadium is NICE. Nicely laid out. Lots of amenities, fairly clean. We got nosebleed seats last minute for anywhere from $10-18 per seat for our bachelorette/bachelor party group. I've got no complaints for a price like that for an NFL game. The restrooms were initially a hot mess, I'm gathering because it was raining pretty hard and we super wet ladies rushed the restrooms. Once we made the very dangerous feeling climb DOWN to get to the restroom around halftime, the bathrooms were clean and STOCKED again up by the 600/500 section we were near. It was a really fun experience even though literally 99% of our group got terrified of the climb, steepness and height!!!Oh and seeing ROB BASE was epic for this 45 year old lol

Super Bowl 47 was a great game...I may have been disappointed that the 49ers didn't win but they sure did put up a heck of a fight. Plus a real fan loves their team even when they lose. Here's to a great season and looking forward to next season!:0)

The Super Bowl, like Mardi Gras, is one of those things I used to hate. Not the Super Bowl in general, but the Super Bowl in New Orleans. Like MG, it brings a bunch of people to the city, and causes massive chaos and disruption. This year I took a different approach. I realized that despite the headaches of traffic delays, work headaches and the construction, the Super Bowl shines a spotlight on the city that I love so dearly. That spotlight helps others see what I have always known; New Orleans is awesome. The game, halftime show and commercials were kind of meh. It can never be as exciting to a local if the Saints aren't playing, but it was great for the city.I sure hope we get another one in 2018!

What a difference a decade (or so) makes...I work a little less than a mile from the Superdome and have for...a long time. I could not believe the circus atmosphere that accompanied this year's game. And the road closures that made getting to work a total pain. Last time the game was here (2002), it was much lower key and sort of somber, post 9/11.Still, it was a good game. It's just too bad it wasn't the Saints because, man, that would have been awesome. Just thinking about it makes me blood tingle...

While I can't give the Super Bowl this year 5 stars (the Saints weren't in it!) I have to say that I am really proud of New Orleans right now. Not only did we host the Super Bowl, but we showed the world that New Orleans is able to host a huge event (almost) without a hitch.Yeah yeah, so the lights when out for about 30 minutes. Big deal. You know how NOLA works; we will do anything in our power to keep the party going for as long as possible. All in all I had a great time enjoying Super Bowl festivities and I was glad to see a lot of locals out and about having a blast with our visitors.

This was my second Super Bowl and baby, it was definitely the best! AKA, hands down, a much better job then Dallas did in 2011. Yes there was a power outage and we didn't know what was going on for 30 minutes (and yes that meant that when I went to the loo during that time you couldn't flush the toilet or wash your hands. But I'm a football girl, I've been puked on in Solider Field, lost a pint of blood in a train en-route to the New Medowlands, sprayed with fish guts in Pike Place Market before a Sea Hawks game, got "cheesed" walking into Lambeau 'cause I was in a purple jersey... you get the picture!)We got there hours early to prevent having to wait in an hour long line up to get through security and sailed through. There was defiantly plenty of staff, excellent security. The whole entrance process was seamless. They had a ton of vendors, we never waited more then a few minutes throughout the game to get beer or food. Oh, and speaking of food; it was fantastic! I loved all of the different choices of local fare; the Zatarain's rice was outstanding (i still don't understand what a hush puppy is though). The game was epic, the air had an aura of greatness and the vibe of the city was of one only New Orleans could provide. We met football greats past and present. Rub elbows with Senators and Celebs. We got down and dirty with awesome people from all over: The US and abroad... Superbowl XLVII and NOLA captured my heart (and a good chunk of my liver!) RAVEN NATION BABY!!!

Great game - down to the wire! The commercials were a bit lacking this year, but I think the Audi commercial takes the prize in my opinion!Half time show just sucked. How about we see someone who is actually talented?

It has been a few years since I have been to New Orleans, and the one thing that really stood out this trip was the hospitality. I was so impressed by (and appreciative of!) everyone's attitude, from law enforcement (at the intersections), waitstaff at the restaurants, and volunteers everywhere, to all of the locals we encountered while taking in New Orleans and the Super Bowl. I also really appreciated New Orleans bringing in absolutely perfect weather for the weekend ;-)It was an awesome experience!Other than the Niners losing, the only complaints I have (ironically) are about the water situation. Once you went through security (no liquids allowed) and into the Fan Plaza, there was no bottled water (or any drinking water at all) available. It was unseasonably warm and frustrating to only have sugary soda, sugary Gatorade, or alcoholic beverages available until the Superdome opened. The story we got was that there was a dispute between Coke and Pepsi as to whom would sell bottled water, no resolution was reached, so no water was provided outside. If the electricity goes out, it's best to realize the sinks are on a sensor before dispensing a handful of soap.

Pretty good game, but surprising outcome. The halftime show (if one could call it a show) was horrible.
