Listen.. when I say the service was amazing I mean that!! Josh was the truth! He gives great conversation as well as knowing his shit! He was extremely kind but everyone was to be honest! We set at the bar with Josh and he was just so sweet! There was another young lady I didn't catch her name but she was extremely patient and kind as well! I had the veggie rice which was soo good!! The edamame was great as well! Man everything was good! Every drink we had was made from scratch.. and was perfect! The service alone makes you want to come back!

The service here is awesome and made our experience so much better. We enjoyed the food and believe the evening was made even more enjoyable because of their very friendly and attentive service from everyone but especially our server Courtney. Our table and bellies were quite full. We started with the recommended Steamed Gumbo Dumplings and ordered everything family style. The menu simply says Steamed Dumplings but when we inquired, we were told we had a choice of Gumbo or to Etouffee. They were sadly out of the Coconut Shrimp and offered us to Tempura but we decided to pass. Then we had the Crab Rangoon Dip with Won Ton Chips, Shrimp Bacos, and the Beef Teriyaki Bacos which were Chinese white buns stuffed with a protein. Unfortunately, they were out of the Spicy Pork Bacos. We didn't know there would be three Bacos per order and ordered two Beef Teriyaki ones which was too much. Everyone at the table loved the Gumbo Dumplings and the Crab Rangoon Dip. For the mains, we had the Crawfish Fried Rice, Brussel Sprouts, Yum Yum Fried Ribs, and Chicken Lettuce Wraps. We were all pretty happy with the Asian and New Orleans fusion of the flavors. The Beef Teriyaki were a bit over seasoned with a thick sauce. I wouldn't call it Teriyaki. The Bok Choy served with the ribs was way too salty and the Brussel Sprouts were also a tad over seasoned. While I liked the Chicken Lettuce Wraps, I feel like that the portion was too small. The small rice bowl it was served in was not full. I ate the beef meat from a bao and my son stuffed the bao with the chicken. He loved it. He also loved the Shrimp Bacos. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed the food. Both the Seoul Margarita and I Love You cocktails were yummy. They were not too sweet and accompanied the dishes well. The I Love You cocktail was served in a cute heart glass. The place was packed for our 6 pm Thursday reservations. We were sat in a comfy corner booth where we had a good view of the art decor and bar. People without reservations had to wait 45 minutes to an hour and a half for table. Had they stayed, they wouldn't have been disappointed. We highly recommend this place!

When you're in the creole food capital of the world, Korean food isn't the first thing that comes to mind. But if you're gumboed and po boyd out, this is an excellent place to mix things up. Sun Chong offers a great Korean-Creole fusion w/ an amazing atmosphere and service.Loved the bulgogi. Meat was super flavorful and tender served in the traditional cast iron plate w/ a side of rice and kimchi. But the real highlight was the lobster pasta which was the embodiment of Korean and Creole fused together. The pasta was not too rich, but super creamy and even had a little kick to it. Even though the gumbo dumplings were presented in a fantastic manner, they were meh. Not bad but didn't live up to the theme that jumps out at you from the menu.Shoutout to our server. She was AMAZING. A young med student at Xavier who had an amazing spirit and way of making you feel right at home:)

The vibe was nice but the food was just ok. I think I had too much Korean expectations. This is actually a pan-Asian restaurant. The dumplings were good, the bulgogi decent but the peanut chicken was like boiled chicken with PB.

I finally got to check out Sun Chong, one of the Morrow Family's newest projects! We went on a Monday night, so the vibe was easy and it wasn't busy at all. We decided to order a few things to try, and nothing disappointed. The crowd favorite was the crab Rangoon dip, and it was so good we all panicked when the waitress came to take the plate and there was still a bit of dip inside! The prices were a tad elevated for me to be a usual customer, but I would absolutely eat here again! A 20% tip for parties of 2 or more is automatically added to the bill, so keep that in mind.

I spent 3 days eating in New Orleans and this was the best restaurant I ate at. I came here for lunch so it was not busy. I stopped by the night before and it was packed with no tables available. The atmosphere is nice. It really makes you feel as though you're in Chinatown. The waitress was really nice. I can't remember her name, but I know she is originally from Coral Springs. She gave a lot of recommendations which was very helpful. Now the food I had was spectacular nothing I tried disappointed me. The flavors were immaculate and everything was fresh and cooked to order. I also have to give a shout out to whoever is in charge of the playlist because every song was a vibe. The fish in the boat was great and the fried chicken was superb. I eat those two dishes for the rest of my life. Kudos to the chef.

Unexpectedly mid experience.Came around 6:45 pm on a Monday to put my name down for 5. My group ended up adding another person so we went back into the restaurant to change the reservation. The wait time turned from 15 minutes to an hour, which was fair and we said we would wait so that we could all sit together instead of getting split up. We came back an hour later and were told that we couldn't be seated together. They could sit two people first at the bar and then the other 4 would have to wait. In the meantime, a group of 3 people who had just come in 5 minutes before we checked in the second time were seated at a table big enough for 6-7 people. We had no choice but to seat some of us first and then the rest of us waited about another 15 minutes (because we were really excited to try this place). Ordering thankfully didn't take too long but it took almost 35 minutes for the food to come out. My other friend group that got split up had ordered a salmon and they told her after over an hour that they had forgotten her dish. Overall, this was enough to ruin most of the experience. The food itself was good! The neno fried chicken tasted kind of like KFC. Tasty but wasn't special. The veggie fried rice that came with it was not bad. The bulgogi was pretty good too but was quite a small portion. It came with a plate of rice and two pieces of bokchoy (which I guess is considered a salad per their menu). Finally, the gumbo dumplings were pretty good! I really wish service was better and more efficient, though I appreciate the option to try something Korean in NoLA.Kudos to the restaurant for at least having nice quality napkins.

Loved everything about this place except the gratuity charge for parties of 2 or more people and the drinks were ridiculously expensive. The service was "EXCELLENT!" The young lady paid attention to detail! She was very knowledgeable of their foods and made great suggestions. We had the crab Rangoon dip, it was delicious and the chips were fresh and good! The salad and its dressing were omg! So good! Tempera shrimp and its dipping sauce were so good, we had to order a second helping. The Bulgorgi was so tender with the right blend of spices. The Neno fried chicken was very good along with the crawfish fried rice! I will definitely return!

The food was good, we shared dumplings and bulgolgi and had more than enough for 2 people. Drinks were ok. I ordered something expecting a martini but I ended up getting something sweet in a heart shaped glass. It was great for photos but I don't think I would order it again. I'll add in the name once I remember it. Overall it's got a clubish vibe with the music in the background. Great place for a night out.
