Can't say enough about this amazing bed and breakfast in the garden district. My room was spacious and well appointed. Breakfast was super yummy especially the home made sourdough bread! They went above and beyond! Will definitely be back!

Everything was fantastic about this place. Melinda was so sweet, helpful, and made us feel welcome. We stayed in room #8, the Tchoupitoulas. We had our own private entrance and an place to sit outside. We will definitely be back the next time we are in the Big Easy!

From the moment we arrived we were enamored with the look and feel of the house. It has the requisite wrought iron fence that is the signature of garden district homes and a charming sitting area on the front porch. We arrived early, after calling ahead to ask, and Mark was gracious enough to let us check in early as our room was ready. The housekeepers are lovely and they helped us initially, then Mark arrived from walking the two house cavalier king charles spaniels. We were helped to our room and thoroughly advised on all the amenities of the house. We felt very welcomed. We stayed in room 5, the Carrollton. It featured a queen size bed on a very high frame, step stool included lol, as well as a private bath. Also in the room was a large wall mounted tv and a king louis style chair and vaulted ceilings throughout. There is an honor bar on right next door with sodas, coffee, tea, and some various adult beverages. Downstairs features a very relaxing living room with a Sazerac bar. The dining room has ample space for enjoying the fresh baked biscuits and pastries as well as fresh fruit and yogurt parfaits. This home is convenient to Commanders Palace, Lafayette cemetery #1, and the St. Charles street car line. We truly enjoyed our stay. If you have the chance, get Moira from Two Chicks Walking tours to show you the garden district.

What a charming place to stay in. Melinda, the Innkeeper was very sweet and helpful when it came to recommendations throughout the city. In addition, the continental breakfast was fresh and delicious everyday. The room we were in was beautiful and charmingly decorated. This mansion was built in 1890 which was pretty cool to stay in. My boyfriend made reservations for my birthday at Commander's Palace which is a few blocks away. Highly recommend this place for a special occasion. Magazine Street and Lafayette Cemetary are also nearby. This bed and breakfast is located in the Garden District, a quiet, gorgeous area in New Orleans, which is what we wanted. The St. Charles streetcar is about 2 blocks away which will take you right to the French Quarter. Uber is also a great option to get around. I would love to go back and stay in this bed and breakfast. Highly impressed!

I can't believe some of the poor reviews I've read on Yelp about this place; Guy, Nancy and Gracie were wonderful hosts and the Mansion itself is magnificent. Gracie is a sweet, well behaved dog and added immensely to our experience. If you don't like dogs, you probably shouldn't stay here (and you probably need therapy). We would definitely return to Sully Mansion!

Sully Mansion exceeded all of my expectations when planning my daughter's recent baby shower. I submitted the online Inquiry Form and, in a matter of a few hours, I had a response from Andrea Muschenborn Charlaix, Sully Mansion's lovely owner. Andrea was a dream to work with...had answers to all of my questions, suggestions when I needed them, and a calm and efficient demeanor that enabled me to have all of the planning complete (with a contract in hand) by the next day; this was important as I was planning the shower only four weeks in advance.I literally booked this amazing place without ever seeing it in person. I was not disappointed as this is the most beautiful property! The 1890 Garden District mansion itself is stunning, on a corner and surrounded by a wrought iron fence. The huge porch and courtyard area are so welcoming but they don't compare to the beauty inside the mansion. The decor is stunning, with so many period details...stained glass windows, transoms, massive doors with intricate hardware that are like little works of art. Every room is a feast for the eyes, with beautiful upholstery and draperies, chandeliers and cozy seating areas. The massive carved staircase in the foyer is an ideal location for photo opportunities. Our luncheon was served buffet-style and it was exquisite and abundant, both in presentation and taste; guests raved about the food and beverages! We had women and men in attendance and there was something for everyone. We elected to bring in the desserts as the mother-to-be had some specific requests; Andrea made sure we had a beautiful table for them and her staff took care of cutting and serving the cake. In addition, a lovely table was prepared in the living room for gifts.Sully Mansion's staff are the loveliest women you could hope to meet. We never had to ask for anything; the food was constantly replenished and drinks served with a smile. I never saw a discarded dish or glass on a table, they magically cleaned up after us all day without being seen. I was sad to see the party end as it was just so perfect in every way. I don't know enough adjectives to adequately describe Sully Mansion, or the women who give it life, but I cannot imagine a better venue for a celebration...shower, wedding, birthday party, etc. Do not hesitate to plan an event at this stunning property!**-We did not need any of the accommodations at the mansion but we were able to see some and they are fabulous, with updated bathrooms and air conditioning and gigantic beds. We will be staying here the next time!

Three day destination wedding wildly exceeding expectations. Ideal location in garden district close to CP, Magazine Street and the streetcar. Stately neighborhood. Home itself is beautiful and well maintained. The food at the wedding was great, not sure how they pulled it all off. Andrea is an amazing hostess and totally hands on / in control. My daughter was happy and there is nothing better than that.

Beautifully restored and decorated home with a great location. The front porch is delightful and they offer free wine for happy hour! It's on a quiet, tree-lined street corner close to the street car and great restaurants of the Garden District. Breakfasts were delicious and the owner and innkeeper were so friendly and hospitable. The bed was the best B&B bed I've ever slept in. It is a bit pricey for the area but I will definitely stay here again.

It's hard to describe perfection, but I'll try. My niece's baby shower was held at Sully Mansion, in New Orleans. This stunning gem in the Garden District is bright and airy; it's loaded with a perfect mix of antiques and modern decor. Andréa and her staff were so gracious and accommodating--their food was amazing, the setup was beautiful, even the soft jazz music in the background was the perfect complement to our gathering (it hit all the right notes ). The buffet--prepared in their own grand kitchen--was a lush display of local specialties, fresh fruit, salad, and traditional favorites. The staff were like a theater stage crew; dressed in black, they discreetly moved around collecting emptied plates and glasses. We also appreciated the space they provided for our desserts and other personal touches (bumble bee theme). The mansion itself is a beauty and would be the perfect canvas to elevate any specievent into a masterpiece.

I stayed at Sully Mansion for a weekend with my girlfriends for a birthday. Marc and Madeline are the definition of southern hospitality. I felt like I was in a hallmark movie during my stay. We stayed in the royal suite which was perfect for my friends and I. The mansion has such a cute vibe to it. Marc and Madeline were beyond accommodating for my friends and I. I requested a cake and champagne surprise as it was my sisters birthday and Marc and Madeline made it happen! Breakfast is also offered each morning. I wish we had places like this in NYC. The mansion is located on a quiet street and is a short ride away from the French Quarter. Parking was also not a problem near the mansion. I would recommend Sully Mansion to anyone who is visiting New Orleans.
