We absolutely LOVE indulging in Sugar Love King Cakes & any sweet treats they make! Staff is top notch and dessert is YUM!

Ordered from here a few times and it's always chaos, frequently get the wrong order. We got a king cake couple weeks ago for a party and it was horrible. Got a variety of things this morning and extremely disappointed with the taste. Everything looks pretty, but taste is not very appetizing.

Well this is my first pie from them. Taste was there but I think they might have been overwhelmed with the holidays. It was a pecan pie that didn't seem to set up right, very liquidity in the middle. The pie shell stuck to the pan and the crust broke off as you tried to cut a slice. I will go back but not at the holiday season. I still have love for SugarLove

King cakes are everywhere around here, but the ones from Sugar Love are the best! Peak time is during the Mardi Gras season, but they make them year round, decorated for the seasons. They sell smaller chunks of King-Cake-on-a-stick that are fun. The staff are friendly. The store gets busy at times so if you are in a crunch you should call ahead. They will let you order pastries on line and schedule a pickup on some future date.

You guys! How in the world did I not know about this place?! I stumbled upon SugarLove Cakes purely by accident when I turned down a wrong street recently and just happened to notice this shop tucked all the way back in a corner of a little strip mall. It was fate y'all! And hopefully now my wrong turn is about to turn you on to the sweetest little sweet shop ever!The owner was super nice and enthusiastic about my enthusiasm and explained they'd been here for a while and patiently answered all of my questions about the different cupcakes and other delicious looking treats. We ended up getting a few things to sample-all of them were just so yummy but the pineapple wedding cupcake blew my damn socks off. Definitely going back for that one and so should you!!YUMMY!

So blessed to have such incredible king cakes in Slidell. I always get one (or two) to bring back with me to Oklahoma after Christmas, and usually I stay late enough that Mardi Gras season has begun, and I grab some classic purple, green, and gold ones. However, this time I was ahead of the game, but SugarLove absolutely did great still! I saw on Instagram that they were making silver and gold king cakes for New Years, so it felt a little less sacrilegious to be getting one before the season starts. Admittedly, I looked on the online ordering website first but was confused since it wasn't clear if I could get an NYE king cake, so I ended up just going by the shop. It was a painless process-- I was met quickly, we filled out the form for the order, and I prepaid for the pickup just 24 hours later. It probably could have been done over the phone, but I was already on Gause for other errands. Pickup at the shop was just as easy the next day with no issues at all. It was funny seeing the shop before Mardi Gras, since I'm used to it being covered with king cakes. We always put an order in for ours during the season just to be safe, since they can only make so many each day! Admittedly, I haven't tried anything else from the shop, but how could we when the traditional king cakes are so so good? I brought in some of the king cake to work yesterday, and it was such a hit that we might all go in on getting one shipped up here :) Thanks y'all!! Keep up the great work

King Cake Bread Pudding!Blown away by how amazing this is!?! My daughter stopped me from buying us two of them and now I'm sad :(King cake on a stick was really good too, but I expected it to be so less of a shock factor when I fell in love with both of these. I took a gamble on the brand of my last king cake of the season, and I bought this king cake. Bad choice. It's a wedding cake, with almond flavor. It's not a king cake. I'm so disappointed. And it was kinda expensive too. Don't take the gamble- stick to the brands you know!

The King Cakes are off the chain and I love the Lemon and the Bavarian Cream. The King cake nuggets were a hit at a party. Service was Excellent and the place was Very Clean. Will Definitely be Back

Was in Slidell for a short amount of time and saw the high reviews for SugarLove's king cakes. We took a gamble and showed up in hopes that there are ready made king cakes available.We were greeted with the amazing bakery smell and a sweet lady behind the counter. I asked if there were any king cakes available, and was told that it takes one hour to bake a king cake. Since we did not have an hour before leaving town, we were disappointed UNTIL... the sweet lady offered to sell us a reserved king cake that was not due to be picked up for another three hours. She had enough time to bake another one for the reserved.SugarLove's king cake is indeed one of the best. Full of cinnamon and a petit four icing. Pure sweetness from both the goodies and the service.Thank you SugarLove for making sure that we did not walk away disappointed!
