Steakhouse at Ramada

Mediocre. I need to go a couple more times before I pass judgement. It's like a small family run place in a dump of a motel.

Tonight, we went with some friends to try the Ramada Steakhouse in New Iberia, La. When we got there, there were 2 tables occupied. One had several people and the other had 2 people. We sat down and it took a little while for someone to come to take our drink order. After he did take our drink order, other people began to show up in the restaurant. He began taking drink orders and was also taking their food orders as well. He seemed to have forgotten about our table. He finally came over to our table and took our food order. I did remind him at that time that we were in the restaurant before all of these others he had taken food orders for and would he kindly put ours in first. He told me that he would ensure ours was put in first. When the last people that entered the restaurant got their food order first, I got kind of concerned. We needed drink refills before that, and we had to take our drinks up to the bar to get them refilled. The owner brought us our refills and I asked her why people were getting served before us when they came in after us. She said she would check to see what was going on. She never came back but when the young server came back, we decided we had waited long enough, and we would like to just pay for our drinks and go. He brought the ticket with $0.00 owed and just threw it at me on the table. He is lucky that I have been working on my temper and decided not to give him a lesson his daddy should have given him. We just got up and left. We don't recommend this restaurant to anyone because the service is very bad. We never got to taste the food so I can't comment on that. We had ordered a great bit of food that was kind of costly. If you want bad service, then go here. We just went to another restaurant, where we got excellent service.

this place was really good! it was a little pricey though. the main dishes were really good, but the sides were quite bland. they also were low on staff, but our waitress (who was in training) was really nice. also, the mashed potatoes tasted a little bit like the boxed mashed potatoes. the place didn't have much decoration, so i guess it gave it a little bit more of a "fancy" feel, but it wasn't that fancy either. since it was in a hotel, you could see the pool which was quite nice, but the floor was kind of slippery, i'm assuming from people coming into the restaurant after they were at the pool, but i'm not sure. the steaks were really good, but the sides weren't that amazing. i think you should try it out to see if you like it. i will probably be going back as well. also, the fire alarm went off while we were there and they didn't evacuate us. i was expecting it, so when they didn't it kind of freaked me out. thank goodness it was a false alarm as some kids had pulled it, but it caught me very off guard. the workers didn't look like they knew what to do and all ran to the back.

Service was 10/10. The young server that took my order was very polite and on time. Would 100% recommend this to anyone looking for delicious food and great service.
