This is the first time I've been here but I've always heard great things, so on a trip to beautiful downtown Gretna, I thought I'd stop in. This is one of the places where you get a card, and then you choose your beverage by putting the card in the kiosk and choosing your pour. It's very convenient because you can try small samples of things without having to buy a whole bottle, or settling for the house wine (although that was good too). It's not just a wine bar, they also have sample and full pours of liquor, beer, seltzers, and mixed drinks (I think they do mimosas for brunch as well). The atmosphere is very casual, with TVs, pinball, games, and a nice layout with a lot of beautiful local artwork. Like the sign says, it's "Upscale but not Pretentious."

I love the ambiance and the abundance of Wine available. Wish they had 1 non alcoholic selection but I appreciate the honesty about it. There is even beer for non wine drinkers.

I visited here a few months ago and fell in love! I loved the vibe here and the staff is incredible! I haven't been back since only because I love on the east bank and that's a far drive for me after drinking. About the wine: I love that it is set up like vending machines and you can try a sip before you fill up the glass. Their selection is great and I was able to narrow down the flavor I loved and I'm still searching for the wine that I love lol. Don't pass this gem up! Give them a try, it's well worth it!

This place is phenomenal. I came here two weeks ago and I am STILL thinking about it. It has that awesome concept where you can try multiple wines by preloading your wine card using your credit card or just take the wine card to use to rack up a bar tab that you pay with using your credit card in the end. So, we walked in and there was a private party about to happen in an hour, so we only had an hour. The nice lady welcomed us and explained the process. I asked her about how long the place was open and it's been open less than a year. She explained how the owners were four military members that would collect different and hard to get bottles of booze, beer and wine throughout the world and decided they would open a dispensary bar using those good finds. I loved the story. So this place is like W.I.N.O. plus, plus. And I say that because WINO is just wine and this place has wine and beer and liquor. I was able to try some unique gin and bourbon and absinth. You can choose between a small pour and a large pour. There is also ice to cut the burn on the pure liquor. The card gets inserted in the machine that has the alcohol you want to try. Press the pour size, put your glass under the pourer and enjoy. When you are done tasting, bring your wine card to the front desk and they scan it and you pay with your credit card. There is fun seating throughout. Very eclectic art throughout as well. I loved the fireplace that was located in the front and was surrounded by a few couch like chairs to make it very comfortable and homey. I could have easily spent like 2 or 3 hours here. I will be back.

First time here and it's a cute place. Same concept as w.i.n.o where you can choose wines and other spirits and select how many ounces of a pour you'd like. You push the button and voilà! Let the tasting begin! I had no idea this place was here until some friends decided to go for a night. We had a great time and tried a few delicious wines! Will be back!

Why, oh why has it taken me so long to make my way here? Well, I'll tell you. I came across Stained Glass Winehouse a little while ago when doing my bimonthly search for things to eat or do on the West Bank and this spot popped up after I was a few pages deep in my search results. A wine bar on this side of the river? My ears perked and naturally I bookmarked it and added it to my never ending list of places to explore to get lost in the queue *insert upside down face emoji*. So, when a friend of mine who also lives on this side was in town, I jumped at the chance to check this spot out. This little hidden gem in Gretna is so cute and I can already tell it's going to be my go-to for bringing friends for a super chill hang. The music is great, it's cozy, but still chic, and the staff is so nice. They make great use of the space and there's plenty of seating without it feeling cramped. My favorite area is the little lounge space with couches and big comfy chairs. It's perfect for a group having a conversation or playing one of the board games that they provide. Stained Glass is a self-serve wine lounge so when you go in you put a card on file and they give you a card to use at the machines that will track your spending (kind of like game cards at an arcade except you're adding to your balance instead of subtracting from it). They have a selection of whites and reds that are organized from dry to sweet, a few beers and mixed cocktails, and a few spirits (you can have these neat, on the rocks, or make your own cocktail with the mixers they provide). Everything is priced by the ounce, with the wine and spirits having pre-set pour amounts that you can choose from. I believe it's 1oz, 3oz, and 6oz for the wines and 1oz and 2oz for the spirits (don't hold me to those numbers, lol). The beers and pre-mixed cocktails use a tap style dispenser that you can free pour to your desired amount. The dispensers will tell you your balance when you insert your card, so you can keep track of your balance before going to check out. It's a veteran-owned business and they frequently host events that cater to veterans. They also host food pop-ups, have live music, daily happy hour specials, and other themed nights. I don't think they have a kitchen themselves, but they do offer charcuterie boxes for $25 if you need a little snack while you enjoy your rosé.

The atmosphere was good, very chill and casual with upscale style. I really liked the one food choice I picked but place would be better with more food options.
