Center of the hotel, garden area
Front entrance
Hair on bathroom wall by prior guests. Meaning not cleaned properly
Broken blinds right by the hall. Remember this was a 400 dollar room.
Dirty carpets
The bed WITHOUT the pictures gorgeous art above it, luxurious pillows and the comforter is about the thickness of a sheet.
The couch shown was about two times larger than this one and the wall was covered in art and had plants in the room.
Moldy AC vent leaking water into the carpet. It smells like cat pee and mold. This was FOUR HUNDRED DOLLARS.
You can see the grime on the floor around the shower and in the sink and toilet.
Dirty A/C unit
Dirty bathroom
You can see dirt and dust on the carpets we paid 70 dollars extra to be cleaned.
Magical!
The courtyard was magical at night with all the holiday lights wrapped around the columns, trees and antiques.

We had an issue with the door code and Brittany immediately switched the code and helped us out. Parking was difficult for us and she explained the best options, and even made suggestions for loading and unloading. Our room was so cute and well decorated. The entrance and courtyard, along with the rooms were well kept and clean! Everything was in walking distance! I couldn't give this property enough stars and would pick to stay here again for another trip to Nola! Thanks y'all!

Horrible accommodations! Not only was it dirty, but management company was unresponsive when trying to find a solution on different accommodations. We had health issues due to the conditions apartment was in. They were unconcerned and disregarded completely. No resolutions to problems were met and was yelled at on phone by management company ending on them hanging up. Both Lynn and Britney have no customer service skills what so ever. Please save time and money and book else where.

Great location, hit or miss but you might want to wait until all the changes have been completed! Liked · We have stayed here before and it is usually one of my favorite places to stay when visiting New Orleans. The property recently went under new ownership so there's a lot of changes that are going on. I wish I knew that so I had the opportunity to change properties. The staff was very nice and you can't beat the location!Disliked · - It's obvious the property is going through some changes but I don't want to stay somewhere on my vacation where the halls are lined with paint cans and old furniture waiting to be disposed of.- We had 20 coffee makers literally right outside our door the entire time.- The room we were in had practically no natural light or windows. We had a good amount of space but the no light started to wear on us over time.- It's a 2 bedroom apartment and only mirror in the entire place was the small one in the bathroom. Not ideal for 3 women. At least add 1 more mirror or a floor length one.- The rooms were short on outlets, things falling apt, holes in the wall, etc. I know it's NOLA and of course some wear and tear is normal but it was a bit dumpy (especially the shower). The table and chairs were very wobbly and we couldn't even use them.- We only had 1 remote control for all 3 TV's- We only got our room cleaned once out of the 3 days we were there. When we complained we were told we needed to put the sign on the door requesting it but no one told us that when we checked in.- I'm not opposed to staying here in the future but they need to get the kinks worked out ASAP. Of course any property will go through growing pains under new management but the guests shouldn't be impacted this much. The staff was very nice and made it very, very clear that they were under renovation but again, that shouldn't be something a paying guests has to suffer through.

We had a 4 night stay in the French Quarter, we spent the first half of the vacation at the Frenchmen, and the last two nights at the St Philip. I 100% wish we had stayed at the St Philip the entire trip. It's quiet and very accessible by foot to every corner of the French Quarter. Our room was 3x the size of our Frenchmen room for the same price, and I was surprised that we actually utilized the kitchenette (which is well stocked with utensils and dishware etc, plus the coffee maker in the room is a plus). The hotel itself is silent which can be hard to find, and I was surprised how much I valued the quiet after 2 nights of Frenchmen street. The only drawback is a lack of parking. There is a lot on Elysian Field (6/7 blocks away) that the desk clerk recommended that's only $20/24 hours but you do need to walk back and put more money in the meter daily, which in the middle of summer in the middle of the day can be an arduous task - to maximize your $20, stay as close to the same time as when you first check the car in (first payment at 3pm, the 24 hrs expires at 3pm the next day). I did see plenty of parking tickets on windshields and a car with a boot all over so, parking laws are definitely enforced. Just as an aside, most hotels with parking or a valet service run $30+/nightly plus you have to tip the driver so $20 is a steal. All in all, the St Philip is a unique, affordable, very comfortable hotel in the heart of the action.

We were a bit apprehensive judging from the pictures that were available online...an older establishment, dark rooms, weren't sure exactly how "too close" we would be to the rowdiness in the French quarter...OhhhEmmmGeee! From the moment you walk into the charming courtyard with the sound of water spitting up out of the giant crawfish in the fountain...you leave the chaotic noisy world of deadlines, projects, meetings and traffic behind you.You are greeted by a laid back welcome from the bldg manager and can't stop looking around because the outside noise literally disappears behind those gates...We had asked for an apartment with a balcony...this really was the best part of staying at the St.. Philip :-). The place is very clean, amenities were available, and we really could not have dreamed of being in a better location in the French Quarter! We will definitely be back! We had a magical time chasing life, great food and old music!

cool fun place to get the feeling of living like a local. Great location, clean building, secure, nice range of apartments. Can be a bit pricey, but they are all fully furnished and include all utilities. Best for those needing to stay a few weeks to a few months, in which case it is much much cheaper than a hotel.Supernice courtyard too.

WHATEVER YOU DO DON'T STAY HERE, IT IS A SCAM!!!!! Room was way too small for $300, staff was not willing to make the stay better, everything was dirty, the AC was not properly working, and just to top things off at the end of the trip, we left our luggage in the, "secure office" because we had to check out but had time before our flight. When we returned all of our bags and another family's bags were opened and had been stolen out of, plus two bags were stolen altogether. When we were able to contact the hotel staff after hours of trying to get help, they were not willing to do anything to help or take any responsibility. Instead they acted very suspicious as if they knew what happened to our stuff and didn't want us to find out.

I booked the Grand Balcony, 2 king bed suite in this 2-star hotel. This is a 19th century, 14-room hotel with a small but helpful staff. My room was large, charmingly decorated, and well-furnished, though unfortunately not maintained as well as it could have been. This hotel is located somewhat close to the heart of the French Quarter, though far enough that it's quiet and you won't be woken up by drunken revelers from Bourbon St. On some booking sites, it's listed as having 24-hour check-in. In reality, this means they just don't have a guarantee. A staff member messaged me at 9 am asking when I wanted to check in. I responded 12-1 pm. When I got there, they said the room wasn't ready. They expected it to be ready by 3 pm, they'd call me when it was, and they'd let me store my luggage in their office until then. They never called me, but the room was ready when I returned at 5 pm. Getting luggage up to this third-floor room took some effort, as they don't have bellhops, elevators, or parking, but it was worth the effort. The room has 1.5 bathrooms (though unfortunately no bath tubs). There were plenty of towels, although more hooks would have been nice. The kitchen was large and well-stocked. There was a full-sized fridge with an ice-maker. There was a dish washer, but it was out of order. We found some wine glasses and other silverware and ceramics in the cupboards. The two bedrooms were alcoves rather than completely separate rooms. They are separated from each other by a wall, but connected to the main kitchen/dining/living area. One bedroom was an interior room with a small amount of natural light filtering in through a long horizontal window near the ceiling, facing the courtyard and covered by a curtain. The other bedroom faces St. Philip Street, with doors leading to the balcony and several windows offering a view of a quiet, gallery-lined street. If you look at pictures of the front of the hotel, you'll see this room's balcony--it's about 90% of the third-floor balcony facing St. Philip St. There were a couple of chairs and tables, plus Halloween decorations as this was a few days before the holiday. The suite had high ceilings and rustic decor. Some of the lights had incandescent bulbs--a nice touch. Half the light switches didn't seem to do anything, as if the suite were in the middle of being renovated. There is a simple checkout process. You need to return the keys to the office. The office is not 24/7, and the front gate is locked at night, requiring a number code for access. Wi-Fi was free and seemed fine.

SCAM! DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE! THE PHOTOS THEY ADVERTISE ARE EDITED AND FAKE! YOU WILL NOT GET THE ROOM YOU PAY 400 DOLLARS FOR! The pictures we saw included a luxury room with gorgeous expensive art, a bed with luxury blankets draped on it, clean and well kept. WHAT WE GOT was a room with a not vacuumed floor, disgusting grimey bathroom, a small couch when advertised was a large comfortable couch, broken blinds so peeping Toms can get their fix, paid a 70 dollar cleaning fee for a gross room with bugs flying around. AC was leaking and moldy and the carpet was wet by the AC. Only one small unit to cool the whole room so the room is very hot and muggy. The fans squeak VERY loudly and one of them are broken so the only chance for cooling is the nasty moldy smelling AC unit. THIS IS A SCAM. DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY ON THIS. Lights don't work in most of the room as well including the bathroom and above the bed, not to even mention the fact the stairs are about to fall and there are many fire hazards around the building. This is seriously a dangerous and disgusting place to stay.
