St Bernard Fishing Charters

I've been fishing with St. Bernard charters a couple times now and am very happy with the customer service and professionalism. They have always been able to put me on fish, even when the weather and tides were less than perfect. This last trip on June 24 was looking like we might not catch much with weather and low tides. It was the only day I could break away from work on this trip to New Orleans. But we ended up with a limit of redfish (a couple huge ones to boot) and half a dozen large mouth bass as well. These folks run a great trip with the customer in mind. I always learn new techniques and get background from the captain on the area, wildlife, marsh habitat and culture.

Went fishing with St Bernard Fishing Charters two days in a row and it was absolutely amazing. My wife and I have been on a lot of fishing charter trips all over the country and hands down this was the most fun we had. Captain Ed was extremely knowledgeable and knew how to get on the fish. Not only was he very informative but also VERY fun to fish with. We are from California and would definitely come back to New Orleans just for this fishing trip! Thanks Ed for the great trip!!

Our party of 3 are visiting from Texas and went out with Captain Ed on a fishing charter. One of us has fishing experience the other 2 absolutely do not. Captain Ed was so patient and kind. We have had the BEST experience! When we were done he processed our fish to create filets, dropped us off at our hotel and brought our catch to a restaurant he recommended that turned into our dinner for the evening. We highly recommend without any reservations. He is an expert in the area, had the best customer service and acted like a true professional! Can't sing his praises enough!

Friendly and professional, Captain Ed is fully prepared to deliver an enjoyable fishing trip and works hard to get you your limits. As a member of Cadillac Reels Pro Staff I requested to use my own reel and he was happy to oblige and got to demonstrate our B.R.A.V.E. technology drag system on a 28" bull red. Captain Ed's hospitallity is unmatched with curbside pickup from the French quarter, a pit stop to get drinks and snacks for the trip. If you forget something, mosquito repellent, sunscreen, he has you covered. He even offered to share his own food. Outstanding guide ready to assist you at all levels of skill and able to talk through best techniques for catching you target species.

I've done a lot of fishing in the Parish but this outfit is the best. Ed is a stone cold pro at his craft and the bon temps are guaranteed. We caught a lot of red fish and black drum and Ed made it easy given his knowledge of the bayou. Very cool guy and a great time.

Beware. Please find another charter. Dishonest or terrible memory. I was quoted one price on the phone and was charged something else at the end. A group of ladies pulled together to send our husbands on a fishing trip for a Father's Day gift. We paid the deposit via phone and was to send the remaining balance by cash (or you will be charged a fee to pay with a card) with our husbands to pay at the end. We sent each of our husbands with enough cash to cover the balance and a 30% tip. Once the fishing trip was over the Captain asked for an additional $500. All of these charters charge the around the same amount so we were aware of the non-discounted cost. But decided to go with this one because of the discounted rate and mainly our date were available.The captain offered me a discounted rate over and I failed to get it in writing. This company doesn't send you an invoice or confirmation information so basically it was my word against his and I wasn't on there so the guys just paid the extra. If you decide to book with them and they offer you a discount over the phone please get it writing. We didn't mind paying the non-discounted rate, he just should have be upfront so we could have sent the men with more cash. We didn't want them to pay for anything. Then on top of that we were charged the 4% rate to use a card.This was not the first charter I've booked; pre-covid I booked with another charter company and had no issues. The communication was clear, I received an invoice, expectations and locations . The only reason I didn't rebooked with them is because the date the guys needed was not available.Buyer beware...

We had an awesome fishing trip with Captain Ed. We wanted to catch Speckled Trout and we limited out. He is knowledgable and works hard to make sure that every one has a great time. It was a wonderful trip. We will go back, but for now, we have a LOT of fish to enjoy! Thanks, Captain Ed!
