Although I have been to NOLA many times it was my husbands first trip. I booked a tour through Grey Line before we left. Thirty minutes before our tour I called to verify our pick up location and was informed our tour had been cancelled. Nobody bothered to call to let me know, and I was informed that there were no other tours scheduled.I spoke to the staff at our hotel and he recommended Cassandra. When I spoke to Cassandra I told her the main areas I wanted my husband to see and some of our interests. She informed me of the length of the tour and a very reasonable price. In fact, it was exactly what I was gonna pay for a generic group bus tour!Cassandra put together a personalized tour that fit our needs perfectly. We absolutely loved Cassandra. We saw everything we wanted.Even with the many tours I have been on in NOLA I learned so much more from Cassandra. Her knowledge and passion for the city is unmatched! The vehicle was very nice, comfortable and cool. I will never book through a big company again. Cassandra will be my go to for any future tours in NOLA!

There are so many tour options in NOLA but Cassandra is the best of the best! We learned so much about the city history, culture origins, and connection to modern day including food traditions. We did a mixed walking and driving tour which was a nice mix and efficient way to see the city. We had the best time with Cassandra and we highly recommend her for a private tour - let her know your interests and she can tailor to your desires. Even a week plus out, we are still talking about what we learned!

Cassandra is not only knowledgeable about the ins and outs of this vibrant town and where to eat and drink, but her ability to relay it's history in an intriguing and honest way makes her one of the BEST tour guides in Nola (and I've had a few!)If you're looking for an intimate experience to see the New Orleans that many people miss, look no further. I would absolutely book her again!

Usually when I visit a new place, I do a TON of research and spend weeks planning out a detailed itinerary. But when I was finally able to realize a lifelong dream to visit New Orleans, I felt paralyzed by indecision about what to see and do to make it the perfect trip. I decided to splurge on a series of private tours with Cassandra.First we did an hour-long phone consultation, where she took all my vague and half-formed notions of what I wanted to do in New Orleans ("find a hidden, moss-draped courtyard with a burbling fountain") and turned them into a detailed itinerary for every day of my trip, complete with multiple options and restaurant suggestions. Because she was actually out of town for most of the time my husband and I were going to be in New Orleans, Cassandra referred me to two other excellent tour guides, one of whom took us on a fascinating tour of the French Quarter and Cemetery No.1, and the other who drove us out to a plantation and a bayou tour. Toward the end of our trip, we met Cassandra for a fantastic 3-hour "everything you haven't seen yet" tour around New Orleans that included the oak alley at City Park, celebrity home drive-bys in the Garden District, a spin through Faubourg-Marigny, and lunch at local hipster hangout St. Roch Market.Cassandra also made herself available every day leading up to our trip and every day of our trip to answer questions and make recommendations (we never would have known you don't have to stand in line at Cafe Du Monde!). She helped me wade through dozens of my friends' restaurant recommendations and steered us toward the best use of our limited time in New Orleans. It was truly the trip of a lifetime, thanks to Cassandra, and I would not hesitate to tour with Soul of NOLA again!

I wish I had time to get more tours with Cassandra! I emailed her spur of the moment and she had room for me to fill some time before my friends arrived. It was exactly what I was looking for in a tour guide. You can tell she loves her city and appreciates all that it has to offer! She is kind and easy to be around. Cassandra is a genuine tour guide. I would highly recommend arranging something with her the next time you visit NOLA! I know I am. :)

We asked Cassandra to help us with a "Family History" tour when we came for a visit to New Orleans from San Diego. She was excellent at working with me to come up with ideas of how to spend the day. She did research on our family, made arrangements to tour the Metairie Cemetery with Mr. Jerry (who was just so enthusiastic and full of interesting information), tours of our family neighborhood and actual homes...plus a stop for Po'Boys at Parkway which was really delicious and a fun neighborhood spot. She is very friendly and knows so much about New Orleans, so no matter where we were driving she was able to help us understand more about that neighborhood, the culture, the architecture, etc. She will take you in a comfortable minivan, and works with your timing. A truly fantastic day. We learned so much and felt so connected to New Orleans after understanding how our family fit into the fabric. She gave us great recommendations on restaurants and live music too! Worth every cent and more. You will not be disappointed!
