If you are in Lafayette, you MUST go here!! Food was amazing (Salmon, Shrimp and Grits, Cauliflower appetizer and OMG the Turtle Cheesecake!!!)Atmosphere is perfect and above all the service was the BEST! Shout out to Aubrey who was so attentive and friendly and perfect!!!Go to SoLou now!!

Grabbed appetizers and drinks with some friends at SoLou and enjoyed their options. The beignets had a fair amount of crawfish but gave off lots of grease and oil. The remoulade dipping since was heavenly! The bisque had a sweetness to it that I did not expect, but enjoyed. Our waitress made excellent cocktail recommendations and treated the birthday girls in the group to cotton candy. One of my friends had baked cookies and they arranged them in a board very nicely for our table. The restaurant has a trendy aesthetic to its interior so I was not surprised to see many other groups there for special occasions.

The service amazing. My friends and I went for restaurant week and had their boudin arancini for appetizers for the boudin there were a couple pieces of rice that were slightly undercooked. My friend had seafood bolognese and I had the beef short rib. The seafood bolognese was 4/5. For the beef short rib I give it a 4/5 also the short rib was really tender and the corn grits that came with it paired nicely with the ribs. For dessert it was the peanut butter pie. In my opinion it was a little too sweet so I think the slight sourness of the raspberries jam is meant to help with the sweetness of the pie. But overall I think it was still a bit too sweet so if you have a sweet tooth I think you would enjoy it. Also with the boudin the manager apologized about the quality and even gave a slight discount. Regardless if discount was given or not I loved the attitude of the manager and the waitress I had. Overall I think the experience is 3.5 star but 4 star rounded up because they have amazing service. The place also looks nice and has a nice atmosphere it is definitely somewhere you would come enjoy a good lunch or dinner.3/5 food4/5 ambiance5/5 service

Loved my first visit here. I stopped in for a late afternoon snack and drink. I had a mango marg that was very good, well made. I tried the fried cauliflower appetizer. It was awesome! Very flavorful crispy and tender at the same time. You've gotta save room for the smores for dessert. They are just simple smores, but who doesn't love smores! And the highlight of my visit was my server Maggie! Hey girl! But she was super super awesome

I met my friend here for lunch. It wasn't packed which was a good thing. The server was very attentive. The food came out fast & my drink was excellent. The shrimp corn dogs are my favorite. I didn't care for the Hot crawfish dip but the boudin quesadilla was a hit! This was my second time here. I'll be Back. I love the ambience.

This is a great place for brunch and some Cajun food! The interior is very pretty and service has been great every time I've been. They bring out complimentary cracklins for an appetizer and cotton candy for dessert. The mimosa flight is super fun and worth it if you have two or more people. It comes with three different juices and fresh fruit. The best parts of the meal were the seafood cheesecake and the cheese stuffed tater tots. The gumbo was good and so was the grilled cheese and tomato soup.

It's pretty big and they have a lot of seating for inside as well as outside. They had the doors open to the outside so it was pretty chilly. Anyways we were seated right away for a table of 6 around 8 pm on a Wednesday evening. Our server, Olivia was simply amazing. She was very courteous and came at all of the right times and answered all of my questions. We ordered grilled cheese for the kids, but they don't use cheddar which is typically what my son likes. It's more like fancy grilled cheese. They have fried pork skin for complimentary appetizers. We split the shrimp corn dogs. While the presentation was cute. The consistency on size wasn't the same for all pieces. It's exactly as it sounds, it's shrimp in a corn dog batter, which wasn't as impressive as I'd hope. My husband had the shrimp poboy which was pretty good. My mom's gumbo was kind of salty, but still flavorful. My cousin finished all of her Brie grilled cheese and tomato soup quickly. I'm pretty picky with my shrimp and grits, but boy was I impressed. All of the flavor was there!! The shrimp could have been bigger, but cooked just perfectly. I could eat the sauce all day because the sauce makes the dish. This was my favorite meal here.At the end we had cotton candy, which was such a delight and cute finish to the meal. I would recommend this place to others and come back if I'm ever in town again.

Came here for a post-LSU Graduation brunch and I think it fit that bill perfectly. It has some NOLA options as well as traditional options for those less adventurous. The atmosphere was fun and light, lots of talking so definitely a great place for a big group. There is plenty of parking, we ate inside but there was a nice outdoor patio as well. The food was all great, nothing outstanding but everything tasty enough! We shared some apps and between our group ordered just about everything on the menu and no one left disappointed. I would say the worst thing was the chicken and waffles but the shrimp and grits was the real star. Definitely share if you're celebrating something and get the yummy and fun cotton candy!

Friendly, helpful staff, great cocktails (Get the empress 75). We got several items for the table including:-Parmesan Truffle Fries-Boudin Queso-Zydeco Cauliflower For mains I asked our waitress to surprise me and that she did. Chili Glazed Salmon Was so good, I cleaned the plate if you want something warm and cozy, we recommend the Crab & Brie Grilled Cheese. STUFFED with crab and sooo oooey gooey!*Worth the pop in and will be going back to try some other items. I'll report back ASAP!

Had a very mid experience here. Service was ok and food had little flavor to me. I can deal with bland food especially if the service is above average. But mid food with mid service is a no for me. Too many good places to eat around here. Check it out for yourself, but as for me I won't be back.
