This place rocks! There's a small room for like music and an unpretentious restaurant for great food after the show.We enjoyed seeing Yusa. She's a Cuban singer who put on a great show to a pretty full house. Try the red fish when you have dinner after . It's fried perfectly. The sides we liked were collard greens and potato salad. Both tasted like someone's grandma cooked them. The shrimp and grits appetizers and the deviled eggs were the ideal start to our meal. But the portions are large and that left less room for dinner. We didn't have room for dessert. My husband had an old fashioned. I had a lemon drop. Both were really good.

Went for late night dinner - delicious. The fried green tomatoes & fried oysters is the perfect indecisive combo! Etouffee was just thick enough, dark spicy roux. And I rarely do dessert if it's not chocolate cake, but I went with the peach Cobbler & ice cream - good choice. It came out piping hot & sweet.Jazz band was playing in backroom, separate ticket required. In a good spot to walk along Frenchman St. & check out the other bars, too.

Excellent free jazz concert on Wednesday nights for the price of a drink. You can listen to an hours worth of original jazz music.

This was a return visit to Snug Harbor on Frenchman Street! Always a cool place and known for their musical performances and good food. Sadly, for me, the food quality has suffered. The food was lukewarm and the dried out!The staff were personable and friendly and that helped with the overall disappointment of the meal!I say...go for the music...stick with drinks.

Got tickets to see James Marston's Vibes and reserved a table for dinner in advance. Dinner was fine, nothing fancy but I enjoyed my NOLA sampler, a bite of someone else's shrimp poboy, and my crème brûlée. Probably a three star dining experience because service was a bit slow and the restaurant was a bit loud. Unfortunately, it took long enough to have dinner and a dessert that there was already a line in front of the music room doors and we ended up in the very front corner. If I were to do it again I would get in line half an hour before the doors open to get my pick of seats...so dinner reservation probably 90 minutes before doors open if I planned on dessert. However, the acoustics and sound system were great, so we had a great expertise anyway.

Amazing place for live music on Frenchmen street!! We wanted to see Jason Marsalis plus the jam session, which was at 11:30pm on a weekday. It was phenomenal! We arrived an hour early and had a few drinks at the bar right outside the performance room. The goombay punch was super sweet and fruity! There was a performance going on at the time, and they had a tv anove the bar that was showing it. Could also hear it perfectly! We then stood in line when the first band finished; a ton of people showed up around 11pm to get in line. They opened up doors around 11:15pm, and there was floor seating and elevated seating! The tables on the floor were very small, but you can push them together. There's no table service. Bathrooms were clean and spacious! The performance was amazing, and the ambience of the performance hall is very intimate and warm! Would definitely come back to see another performance!

This is our "go to" place when Port of Call is overflowing (which is always). This time we ordered the fried mushrooms to start and then we both had a burger and baked potato. Everything was so delicious. The service was great and the prices were great. We could also hear the live music being played in the next room. We will definitely go back very soon.

Our first visit to New Orleans. Our first look for a jazz venue. Our first experience at deceptive marketing.Had to sit in the restaurant, hoping maybe to hear jazz from the club.Dinner/food was sub par, service was sub par, and felt like just one more table to turn over as fast as possible.

The host is warm and welcoming. Our dinner was delicious and the waiter was great. We decided to sit at the bar after dinner as suggested by the host, and the bartender was rude and wouldn't serve us. Stay away! She was complaining that she was too busy to get us a drink. She could have served us a cocktail in the time it took her to complain.
