I'm giving Skate Country 5 stars because my kids love to skate here. We've had birthday parties here and my boys have been skating here since they were little. Just recently, their love for skating has grown and now I bring them here once a week for at least a 2.5 hour skate session. The staff is always polite and welcoming! Skating is a great physical activity for kids! We'll probably be here lots this summer since my boys have VNLA skates now and they always want to be at the skating rink.

DISCLAIMER: I definitely should have gone on a Thursday night. These are their "adult skate" nights where there aren't kids. I love kids - but wooooo boy if you go during their regular hours you will be around a LOT of them, and if you're looking for a casual skating environment you won't find it. Between dodging fast kiddos and watching out for wobbly little ones who can't quite stop, you're in for a harrowing time. Otherwise: you'll enjoy this skate rink if you love nostalgia, like hip hop (which I do), and generally just want a fun way to kill a couple hours. Watch out though-most of their pay-to-use lockers are non functional! Be prepared to lose some quarters while trying to find one that works (they cost a dollar in quarters). Will update this review after going to an adults only skate!

Skate Country has consistently provided me with such fond memories that I'm smiling now as I recall how much fun I've had at this fine establishment over the years. I've been a fan since Skate Night at my elementary school and am now an Adult Night patron. I've got recent memories of doubling over with teary-eyed laughter which is a great workout, might I add. I love it when I can kill two birds with one stone! It's a shame that bringing your own skates no longer warrants a discount, but everybody's gotta make money right? Skate Country is still good ole clean, fun. Legend DJ Jubilee emcees adult night, but you won't hear any bounce. Go for the easy listening and the smooth moves of the old school skate pros.

My family and I always throw birthday parties here. It's something active and enjoyable for all ages. Every once in a while after a few songs, a game will be played, i.e. Four corners, limbo, chicken dance, racing, Etc on the skate rink. There is a "no outside food" policy but for birthday parties, we have always brought cakes, cupcakes and desserts galore! You also get a host or hostess to help your party. You can pre-order food (dominos pizza, pitcher soft drinks, nachos, hot dogs, etc) but can also open a tab and order more if you need. Skate country does provide ice cream cups for the kids also. This is a very fun, easy, and pocket friendly way to throw a birthday party!!!

First and last trip here. This place can best be described as "janky". We wanted to take our daughter skating for her 5th birthday. Not realizing they had militant no outside food or drink policy, we brought a single cupcake for her to blow out a candle and devour prior to skating. We were shot down at the door. Ok, ok. Policies. Whatever. We retreated to the car so we could sing her happy birthday and let her have her cupcake and then ventured back inside. After getting our skates and attempting to make a single trip around the rink, my daughter was miserable. I lost count of how many unsupervised and rough kids knocked both her and myself down while we hugged the wall with her father trying to coach is both. She was scared and not having fun and wanted the skates off. No problem. It's her birthday. She wanted to play arcade games. Cool. Nope. Not only are over half the games broken in one way or another and then no signs to indicates such prior to putting in money, the other half are broken claw machines. And when I say broken I mean the claw doesn't work. In addition to that, I got really sick of the herd of once again unsupervised kids following us around and asking for quarters to play games and several times MOVING MY KID OUT OF THE WAY TO PLAY, after we put money in for her. Worst birthday ever. I felt like crap for even bringing her there. She left miserable and demotivated and wanted to cry. It broke my heart. The bathrooms have no locks on the stalls and I was horrified when an unaccompanied child pulled that stall open with me protesting that it was occupied. The faucets do not turn off, the handles turn 360. The 30 year old hand dryers work about as well as blowing on them yourself and there are no paper towels. This place is nothing but disappointing. Oh! And to top it off, when we left we discovered a child had kicked our car door in skates and left this lovely new damage!

One star only because 0 isn't an option. I've held my daughter's party at multiple places and I have to say this place has the most horrendous customer service ever. My daughter went to a party a few months ago and got the tot trainer since she doesn't skate often. Well she loved it and insisted we have hers there. When we got there they told us they would not let us PAY for the tot trainer because she was too tall (like by an inch). My daughter started to cry when she was told she had to skate without it. She was terrified she would fall. Mind you A few months ago at the same height they let us get one. A sign posted that it is at their discretion who they allow to have Tot Trainers....it is at teenagers discretion...who is allowed to PAY for it. When I asked to talk to the manager i was told she was at her car and I could talk with her whenever she got back in. I wasn't cursing or getting crazy when a cop walked out telling me there wasn't going to be any arguing (at this point only my immediately family was there, my daughter and sisters 3 kids....and the employees.) I'm 8 1/2 months pregnant and I'm having a cop come at me because I'm asking for the manager for a party im paying a couple hundred dollars for. After my sister talked with the manager so that I could calm down because I was in tears that my daughter is now crying because she can't skate at her own party. After arguing about it they allowed us to get one as long as her dad was by her. Then I saw kids TALLER than her or at least her height had one. Yet they were arguing with a paying birthday party (and there was only a few public skaters there, mainly just us) about letting the birthday girl get one to enjoy her party. I had several party members wait in line for awhile to PAY for tot trainers or get toddler skates because the employees were in the office not worrying about helping customers. Then when I went to get my party favors right before my party ended I waited a few minutes while employees just stood there staring at me and having conversations amongst themselves. My mom knocked out the window...no one budged. We asked another employee who was walking by if they could please get out favors so we could pass them out. He told someone in the office and they huffed and brought me the favors I brought in. My party guest complained about how ugly the staff was to them. The same girl who is the managers daughter (who is the person who refused to let me get a tot trainer and also huffed to give me my party favors as well as looked like you were inconveniencing her anytime she had to actually do something of service for patrons) was extremely ugly to my sister in law who decided to get a tot trainer with 35 mins left to the party for her child. Does it matter how much time is left if someone is paying??? For a little toddler 35 mins is a long time!!! Never will I give them business. I have never seen such horrid customer service. They certainly don't care about making their paying customers happy. I had 15 kids there; that's 15 potential future parties that they lost because of their terrible attitude.

Right out of T.I's ATL, Skate Country offers adult night Jam Skate. The majority of skaters are African American and they play rap with some old school jam songs. Dont waste your time if you cannot skate well you will just get in the way.

I took the kids there to skate on a Sunday afternoon at 4 for family matinee. Needless to say they barely got to skate in the big rink and spent their whole time in the kiddie rink because they played games in the big rink the majority of the time we were there and couldn't participate because they are not the best of skaters. To say it was family not the crowd was not family friendly, a guy came and sat at our table that was high on drugs. I don't know if I would want to even return to this location

Rude staff and security personnel. They had a complete disregard for safety despite there being a metal detector. One of the security guys spent a lot of time bad mouthing costumers. Do not come here. Truly awful establishment.
