Sidney's Snowballs

First visit to this mom and pop establishment during a quick getaway the service was exceptional and I ordered the dreamscicle snow cone which was 100 percent on point. Was disappointed in the tamales that I ordered which is the reason for four stars. Was expecting something more since New Orleans is known for their good food. Nevertheless, I'll still return and I recommend this spot; at least for the snow cones.

My favorite place to go in the 504 for a bite to eat and something sweet to drink. Great for a day out with a friend. Real scenic location, great customer service and good music in the dining area on the street. 10/10.

Love this place! Cash only, a plethora of syrup options, tasty snacks to compliment your smooth snowcone, & friendly staff! It's off the side of the highway, but if you turn into the dead end there is sidewalk parking.

While visiting New Orleans, I stopped by this snowball stand to try the crawfish nachos after my recommended it. The hours on Google stated that they close at 5P.M. on Saturdays, but the Yelp description stated that it closed at 8P.M. Hence, I decided to call the number listed online, and a young man answered the phone by stating, "Hello." I asked if it was Sidney's Snowballs, and he ensured me that I called the right number and confirmed a closing time of 7P.M. I got there at 6:30P.M., and I asked the young man if it was too late to order crawfish nachos. He asked me what I wanted to have on the nachos, and I asked what comes on them. He stated in a rude tone, "I mean they are just nachos... you want chilli, cheese, jalenpenos, or what?" I was appalled by his demeanor because this was my first time coming to this establishment, and people serve nachos differently. Some people offer pico de gallo, guacamole, sour cream, black beans, etc. On the other hand, I opted to get cheese and jalapenos for my order. After about ten minutes, I received my nachos, and they were okay. They were not anything special, and they reminded me of nachos that you would get at a local high school game with cheese and small pieces of crawfish. In short, the customer service could be improved, but I wish this business great success.

New and very clean snowball stand. The guy even wears gloves. I love a good snowball. A good snowball in my book is one with really soft ice so it's melts in your mouth. Hansen's snowballs were my favorite and now this stand is equally a favorite! I bought a pineapple and coconut cream mix, my husband had strawberry with condensed milk and they were delicious!

They have the best snowballs in the crescent city! Hands down! The chips with cheese a hit as well.

Going check it out now. Will be back with an update on what I thought about the food but so far service is very slow even on a slow day.

Nachos and snow cones were awesome. Highly recommend. The service was really fast. It was overall 5/5

It was raining when we stopped by. Signage was difficult to identify the spot but did find it eventually. Workers seemed disinterested with much smiling or excitement (maybe they were having a tough day? Dog died?) but snowballs were on point. Sugary as all get out. Smooth ice.

Great product and even better service. I'm glad to have found a Snoball favorite in a city I'll be visiting more than often!
