Gordon was awesome! He has a background in history as well as being a chef, the perfect mixture for being a tour guide. Every restaurant we went to had amazing food and I felt like I truly got the New Orleans experience. If you're only in for a day or two this is a MUST.

We had a wonderful tour with Lisa. Lisa seemed to know all of the servers at the restaurants very well, which made for an incredible dining experience. The food was all INCREDIBLE but the char grilled oysters in particular stood out to us. Lisa was very knowledgeable about all the food, the history of New Orleans, and any question we could ask she had a great answer. She also gave us fabulous recommendations for shopping and places to eat during our stay. Would definitely recommend for those who are wanting to try a little bit of everything of the amazing cuisine New Orleans has to offer! Thank you, Lisa! :)

Kathy was great, she brought so much information about the food, the city and New Orleans culture. The food we tried was different than what I would normally order so it was fun and delicious. Thanks for the updated palate.

I took a food tour of the lower garden district as a way to acquaint myself with the area. I found a groupon and it was around $40 for 5 restaurants & a guided tour. We all met at turkey and the wolf & it ended up being a mother & son, an older couple and just myself. I'm not afraid to do things alone but everyone was very welcoming. Our tour guide was Lee - a super cool guy. Turkey and the wolf- fried bologna sandwich, I thought this would be the least favorite but it ended up being my favorite. We have two sandwiches to split between 5 people and the leftovers for Lee. Juan's Flying Burrito- mediocre- just a plain beef taco, didn't blow me out of the water. We then walked around the LGD and got some history of the area which I appreciated. We then went to little Korea bbq- pretty good, again didn't blow me away but it was yummy. Steins deli- pastrami sandwich - found out I'm not a huge fan but I liked the rye bread District donuts- 2 donuts for 5 people plus the guide, beignet flavor - pretty good. We also ate this at steins deli out front. Overall it was a good experience & I enjoyed myself.I do wish there was more food (I didn't leave hungry for anything) but you never wanna be that person who takes double (for the leftovers)- which I ended up being. I recommend bringing a hat/ sunglasses, water & an umbrella + good walking shoes. Most places gave free tap water or you could buy alc.

This tour was not as advertised. Our scheduled stops were:Turkey and Wolf-Closed. We were taken to some place to get a scoop of ice cream in place of sampling their food. Juan's Flying Burrito-the one highlight of the tour. Food was very good Little Korean BBQ-it appeared our group was not expected. Had to wait outside while tour guide went in to make arrangements. We got 3 wontons each. Not the other sample the website said we would get. Steins Deli-tour guide brought us sandwiches from there in a bag we had to eat on the sidewalk in front of Juan's Flying BurritoDistrict Donut-can't comment because we were not taken there. Most of the 2 plus hours were walking around in the heat and humidity which seemed like "fill" time.
