******* August 06, 2019 Tuesday Kids Eat Free! ****Please Read. I am a grandmother that decided to take my two granddaughter and my Husband out to eat on Tuesday (kids eat free night). Firstly, I was informed, on (kids eat free)night ,no other offer is honored including (Senior Citizen discounts, which by the way is advertised every night including Tuesdays)No Discount if you bring the children. Nevertheless, I paid regular price for the hubby and I,asking for water for all, being handed clear glasses for water. He is 67 and I am 61,in order for my grandkids to eat free.Water is dispensed from a soda (multi drink machine) Hubby and girls went to drink machine and got drinks including mine. I had retreated to the bathroom to urinate and wash my hands. When I returned to the table 6 year old granddaughter was crying, I instantly ask why, hubby explained that while I was gone dark blonde haired lady, hair braided down her back (later was told to me by her, that she was the Floor Manager) had come to the table and told hubby that she could not have that drink and was trying to remove the drink from the 6 year old telling her she could not have that drink, reaching to tug the glass from her telling her that was not water. Hubby told her that we would pay for it as soon as his wife returned, and she continued to pull at glass making a scene.Other costumers were looking at our table and 6 year old was embarrassed and began crying. She (floor manager) did this 3 time within the time it took me to return to the table.By the way, which was not a long length of time. When I returned, hubby told me what happened. After comforting granddaughter, I handed hubby $5.00 to go pay for whatever she had in her glass, which turned out to be lemonaide. I asked who had done this to the little girl?. Husband looked around but, could not see her on the floor. Older grand daughter pointed her out cleaning ice cream machine. So, I walked over to her to inform her that the drink was paid for, that it wasn't right that she confront a 6 year old by pulling the glass from her.Her response was "That's my job". I asked her, was it her job to come to the table three time?, after my husband had informed her that he had no money on him, that he would pay as soon as I returned. All she would say was it was her job and she was just doing her job.I could not believe that she was the numb to the fact that that was a 6 year old.She introduced me to her manager, ( a small black haired white man, came from the kitchen area.) I introduced myself with a handshake, the continued to complain about how my family was treated and how the upset it caused. He of course defended her actions with the "That's her job".Left me puzzled and confused that, that is course of Sicily's Family Restaurant complaint department . Manager was no more intelligent then so called( Floor Manager), toward the costumer service. I informed him that is bad business.I did inform Floor Manager lady that I was not done with her. My intention is to reach out to Corporate and notify them of the treatment received.i.e.Poor costumer service. I saw that this little girl had been pin pointed by this so call (Floor Manager) when I looked around and saw a number of costumers with colored drinks in their clear glasses,(Floor Manager was not doing her job, correctly) I notified her that several other people had colored drinks in their glasses.Fair is fair. She went to another taller dark with braided hair Manager .That came to our table and told me it was not right that I tell his (Floor Manager) that I was not done with her, I was going higher up to Corporate, since obviously nothing was being done.He also told me( Floor Manager) felt like she was being harassed, because I told her of other clear glasses which obviously was not water.I then asked him. Then if not tell(Floor Manager) who should I tell he said he was General Manager of that store. So I said , store manager ...Is it not fair everyone should be treated the same? He said since , (Floor Manager) and I had,had altercation that I was to talk to him instead.I did not feel like it was an altercation, I was just informing her of her actions and the course it led to. No complaining I guess to these Managers..Might hurt their feelings.Location: Sicily's Of HoumaBuffet Restaurant @ 1539 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. Houma 70364

The food here is amazing, and delicious. Always replenishing food when it gets low. They have a lot of food options varying from salad to pizza and pizza to gumbo. Its always hot and fresh. They are also taking good precautions during COVID.

Very good location. The staff is friendly and eager to hep. The bar is always fully stocked. The pizza is really good for a buffet. I love that they have other stuff besides pizza. The salad bar is fresh and delicious. The hot food is great. They have flavored coffees and cappuccino for after your meal along with both cold and hot desserts. Wear your stretchy pants!

LOVE the Friday menu. There is something magical about their thin fried catfish. Perfect mix of lightly salted with a thin crispy coating that doesn't interfere with the flavor. Great Mac & cheese and I really enjoy the eggplant casserole. Omg , it's so good! The fried chicken is just as good as the fish. Crawfish etouffee is pretty good too.My wife loves the pizzas and the dessert pizzas as well. There is a guy that has been working there for years & he always recognizes us even though we don't eat there as often as we used to.The building needs some updating buy peeking into the kitchen, it looks very clean from what I was able to see.Food is always hot and an empty pan doesn't stay empty for long at all.

The quality of the pizza is going downhill. It was ok, but I probably won't return. Place needs to have a serious facelift, fresh paint on the walls, new look. It's old... And boring...

Be aware that I am writing this review having gone into this restaurant fully prepared to be underwhelmed for two reasons: 1) It is a buffet, and buffets are notorious for having average quality food, at best 2) It is in Houma, Louisiana (nothing against Houma, I do like it here).I was with a friend, and I walked in slowly, thinking that I still had time to turn around and run out if I did not like what I saw. But, I was famished, so I did not want to have to do that. To my surprise, the buffet was large and had quite a bit to offer. The buffet looked clean, fresh and well put together. As I walked by the buffet to my table, I knew that self-control was going to be an issue, as I wanted to try everything that I saw. There was a pasta section that had different types of pastas and sauces that can be put on the pasta. I took some rotini and some linguini. I put a four cheese sauce on half and a meat/mushroom tomato sauce on the other half. It was edible, but kind of bland and quite watery. There were many different types of pizzas to choose from, but I only took a piece of cheese pizza. It was surprisingly tasty. My friend liked the pizza as well.Other things that I ate: Macaroni and cheese, salad, ice cream, shrimp fettucini, lasagna. All of it was good. There was a large desert section, a small fried food section, and many other things to choose from.If I am ever very hungry again, I would probably go back.

OK. Being of Italian descent, I knew going in, that I would be biased. But, I really don't understand why its called Italian. What does, gumbo, red beans and rice, fried chicken, chicken wings have to do with being Italian? They had a tray of "lasagna" , multiple layers of noodles with red sauce. No ricotta, meats. 3 different pastas, drowning in oil so the wouldn't harden on under the lights. Congealed Alfredo sauce and a red sauce with sausage and mushrooms, with an inch of grease floating on top. Putting oil on pasta prevents sauce from actually stay on the pasta. I understand this is Cajun country, but the aftertaste of Cajun seasoning in the pasta was nasty! The dessert isle was also a mystery. Cookies. Banana pudding and assorted jellos are not even in the spectrum of being Italian! Not one cannoli, tirimasu, sofigliatelle. Not even Biscotti!Salad bar...again just boring. Italians eat antipasto which contains wonderful cheeses, meats, olives. ( an actual salad is eaten after the meal to cleanse the palate). Its dressed simply with Olive oil and red wine vinegar and is really just a few bites.I didn't have pizza. My husband tried it and said if it had been hot, it would of been good. The place was clean. But not worth it. At least the Chinese buffets have crab legs! They to are a mystery to me since there's not much Chinese food either.
