Love the new location! We have a wonderful piece, and absolutely adore it so much we've been trying to find wall space for another. The movement in every painting is beyond words. The way Emilie is able to capture the essence of the musicians is truly a gift, along with her ability to capture that New Orleans feeling in every piece. Highly recommend giving this gallery a visit; each time you visit you'll notice something new! I love how Emilie has pieces throughout her process so that you can really get a feel for her talent and her love for her art.

This local fine art gallery in the French Quarter is home to the work of Emilie Rhys, the daughter of the famed artist, Noel Rockmore. Her current work is mostly pen and ink drawings of live band performances at local jazz venues about town, but her past oil-work can also be viewed and purchased. While the gallery has hundreds of originals to choose from, there is also a large collection of affordable prints to take home. I discovered that a portion of proceeds are paid to the musicians featured in the pieces.Personally, I found her artwork a way to commemorate my love for the New Orleans music scene. I stopped in during a local music performance in the courtyard of the gallery, and loved seeing the artist capturing the moment with her pen and gloves. Highly recommended for lovers of fine art and the traditional jazz music and musicians of New Orleans.
