Very good experience this evening for dinner. Excellent service and recommendations from Tia. I tried a cup of seafood gumbo and a debris roast beef sandwich with a side of sautéed vegetables. The food was delicious. Got a piece of bread pudding for dessert later and it was really good. Definitely recommend

Tried and true Cajun food!! Excellent atmosphere, game day, weekend, or weekday, it's fantastic. Loved the shrimp poboy, oysters and shrimp boil!

I placed my order over the phone with Abby. She was very pleasant and nThis was a pick up order so I don't know if the portion sizes make a difference vs eating inside. The fish and shrimp were flavorful and I loved the tater sauce. The fries were ok. My husband was very disappointed in the size of the fish it was misleading for the price. The shrimp were a little over cooked.. over all we would give them another try.Now y'all know I love my sweet tea!!! So let's get into it. I love the fact that is was freshly brewed and with lemon.... It was just right not too sweet... Next time we order we going in!!!

Haven't been here in many years and especially hearing under new ownership. Restaurant was very clean and the service was fantastic. The star of this show was the food. The blackened redfish was one of the best I've ever had. My husband devoured the BBQ shrimp and daughter couldn't say enough how great the Acadian Catfish was. Will most certainly will be back when in town.

We had the fresh boiled Crawfish, and was worth the hour & 20 min wait for the 5 of us (6PM). One also had crab cakes. Service was good, beer cold, & good time had by all! Highly recommended..

I went today for lunch. You seat yourself & I was greeted quickly by the server/bartender. My lunch was good and hot & came out quickly. I had the catfish & shrimp plate with fries. Both were quite good.

Back from the dead. When I was a student at LSU, Sammy's was one of THE places to go. When it closed, I was heartbroken. While it's now open under new ownership, it's still a good place to be. Just get rid of the tomatoes in the gumbo!

we had the worst experience at Sammy's. We waited over 2 hours for our meal. Our waiter was unable to give any explanation as to why our food was taking 2 hours. Instead, he kept telling us that our food was on the way. We watched as other parties were served and finished before we even got our food. After 2 hours, we ended up leaving with no food or apology from management. This was entirely unacceptable, and we will not be returning.

Enjoyed an a few hours at the bar and brought crawfish home. Delicious and fun. I can't wait to go back!
