UPDATED REVIEW: unprofessional, inappropriate, disappointingTo give an update after my terrible haircut and the follow up, the salon owner, Amanda, reached out to me through both the Vagaro and Yelp reviews I left. Once again, I was so hopeful that things would be fixed after Taylor completely botched my bangs, but it turned out to be one of the worst experiences I've ever had (both with the haircut and the follow up). I'm so so disappointed that this was my experience with a supposedly great salon, but after the way Taylor, the stylist, butchered my bangs and how Amanda, the salon owner, not only talked to me but also how she handled the whole situation has been incredibly appalling and upsetting. For a quick timeline: I got a horrible haircut (see photos) that left me crying all weekend to the point I had to purchase fake clip in bangs, the salon owner left a comment on my original Yelp review that I had to report and get removed (the comment from her you see now is the 2nd one she posted), I no longer felt safe nor comfortable going back to the salon, the salon owner refused to refund me, she then blocked me on from messaging their social media business account and my phone number from calling, we never settled the matter, and Taylor the stylist also blocked me. Unfortunately that's where this story ends: with no refund, no answers, and no bangs. Below is my original review with no edits or changes.ORIGINAL REVIEW:I was so incredibly hopeful going into this appointment, but when I saw my actual haircut I just about burst into tears (of unhappiness and disappointment).The initial appointment request and follow up communication/service was exquisite, hence my high hopes. They asked for reference photos, appointment goals, and general questions about my hair. After I put in the request one of their employees followed up with times/dates I would prefer, which was a nice touch.Now going into the actual appointment, they were all very kind and sweet, and the salon itself seemed clean. I asked my stylist, Taylor, her thoughts on what would suit my hair after telling her my initial ideas/goals (cutting off dead ends, trimming my bangs a bit, and adding longer face framing pieces).She assured me fringe bangs would look great and started with a rough cut while my hair was dry.Atter that, she shampooed my hair and cut the rest while my hair was wet. Up until the end, it seemed as if she knew what she was doing, but when I actually got a close look at my bangs, it was quite apparent she has zero bang cutting experience.Photos attached of my reference pictures vs what I actually received, and how my hair used to look before this unfortunate botch haircut.

I've been seeing Taylor for quite some time. She's always improving, and always learning new things to bring to the chair! Whether I'm feeling lighter or darker or a chop, she helps me realize the vision. The salon is pristine, with snacks and clean capes and fun fruity water of offer. The receptionist and other stylists are friendly as well. Looking forward to my next visit already! Thanks, Tay!

I've been going to Amanda to have my hair colored and cut for over ten years. On my most recent visit to Salon One, I had Emily update my color, and I was not disappointed. She took the time to talk to me before beginning and identify what my personal hair goals were. We also discussed maintenance care and plans for the upcoming changing seasons. I love that she made it a point to hear what I wanted instead of just deciding for me. I left absolutely LOVING my updated hair color. I also booked the rest of my appointments for 2022 since Emily and I had taken the time to speak about long term hair goals. She also gave me the BEST scalp massage during my shampoo. I absolutely adore this little salon and the stylists working there. I would recommend anyone to go check out Salon One!!l

Love this lady!! She is one of the best, I promise you. I am one of those annoying customers who come in with no idea of what I want to do but always something different, along with a long overdue need for highlight touch-up. She is full of suggestions, ideas, and patient with me!! If you need a new hairstylist, who is passionate, caring, and creative, Amanda is your girl!! Book her!

I've been going to Taylor for about 3 years and she's the best stylist i've had in so long. My hair always come out exactly how I envisioned it and she makes sure to let me know if I want is realistic given the damage my hair had before going to her. Since starting to see Taylor my hair has been the healthiest it's been in years and looks great

I've been getting my hair done at Salon One for almost two years now with Taylor. She & the salon are fabulous. Clean environment, always a fun playlist on, & today's visit I was offered the most delicious scones. Taylor always makes me feel so gorgeous whenever I'm leaving. If you're wanting some highlights or a little balayage, she's your girl!

The staff at Salon One is amazing! Everyone is always welcoming and they want to make sure you have the best experience possible. Amanda is tentative to her clients' needs, always gives the best styling tips and wants everyone who sits in her chair to love their color or new hairstyle. Thanks for being you, Amanda!! I've been a client of Amanda's for several years now while she's grown her brand into a salon of her own. Her work is always impeccable and every visit feels like I'm seeing an old friend. I'm so impressed that she was able to create an entire salon that leaves you feeling that way. I love that she tailors her services to the individual client and the amount of maintenance they want for where they are in their life. They are simply the best!
