Sake Cafe

We went here for our company holiday party. Everyone was super kind and accommodating.I know large parties can be a pain and the holidays are stressful, so we appreciated it.

Our party of six came in for happy hour. We ordered and when the check came, our server told us she forgot to do happy hour pricing but comped two of the dishes saying that it evened out.Our party paid with one card with intention to split the bill in private, but after calculating what the correct happy hour pricing should have been, we discovered we were overcharged $22 for the bill. Everyone agreed the food and service were mediocre. If you do go, try the eel! The eel was very good.

10/10 this place serves fresh sushi & sashimi and also has options for non sushi lovers!!

The food is so colorful and flavorful, the waitresses always make us feel at home the service is amazing and the setting of the restaurant just makes you feel like you are special in other words elegant.

Good friendly service, clean restaurant. I asked the server for a vegetarian recommendation, and she brought a hot noodle dish, it might've been Pad Thai (see photo). I quite liked the food, but my dining companion said the sushi and gyoza were just 'ok'. Parking in that area of magazine street is notoriously terrible, but there is a parking lot next to the building and the restaurant validates so you don't have to pay. It's located in a busy part of magazine street so you can find somewhere within walking distance for drinks and dessert after! 3/5 stars.

Great location in a prime area of the popular Uptown. Plenty of parking in a secure lot which is free for dining in at the restaurant.Horrible welcoming service from the moment of entering inside. From the hostess(Asian female) & host(Caucasian male). No type of formal greeting. Just asked how many in party and was ready to get us sat. We had to ask how/ what to do in terms of of inputting of license plates for parking in lot and the hostesses was like oh yeah, do it here(pointing to a machine) as if we should have been familiar with it. In regardsto service: Not much to say other than she did not know answers to any 80% SIMPLE questions we were asking. The food was good and seemed fresh. Descent plate presentation And to add insult, the hosts didn't even SAY ANYTHING while we were departing, no thank you, etc and mind you they had not one person at the host desk to keep the busy from doing thatTo be in an area of this caliber where the guest coming in are usually of status, someone needs to revamp training on customer service

Nice chill atmosphere with a fun and energetic staff. The sushi rolls were really good but my appetizer left much to be desired. I had the goat cheese gyoza which u didn't like (wasn't nasty, just wasn't for my pallet) and a mango that clearly was in the refrigerator because it absorbed alllll the odors. Sake was good tho!!! PS it's mold on the ceiling that was very distracting

Chic casual Japanese spot in Uptown NOLA. The food is solid w an extensive menu that focuses mainly on sushi but also features other entrees and appetizers. In addition, the service is great w the prices being about what you'd expect. We purchased a large sake, a sushi roll, and 2 dinner entrees and the price was about $75 which was reasonable in my opinion. Definitely recommended

Since I was last at Sake, a few things have changed. The service was great, food still tasty, but the overall cleanliness is lackluster. I moved tables thinking that the huge stained white linen on the table was just at that table but nope, it's on all of them. I guess the restaurant doesn't deem them trash worthy. The beverage glasses seem smaller with ice filled to the rim. I would suggest renovating the restroom; the leaky faucet with a wash rag to collect run over water is a no no for the caliber this restaurant use to be. They get a pass because I'm sure the pandemic has a lot to do with the current conditions.The Sake parking lot is now public parking but Sake customers are comped.

Went for my birthday! Loved the food and the vibe of the restaurant, the parking lot is always a plus as well! Always a go to for a great sushi date!
