New Orleans. I loved my meal here. It's a good feeling to experience one of the best cuisines in the world to a level that is delicious, artful and distinctive. While many restaurants in the city cater to tourism, St. G is located in a neighborhood far from the entropy on Bourbon street andfinding the amusing signage got me chuckling walking toward the entrance. Then you walk into a neighborhood "home" and you begin to think your host just added a last minute murder mystery game as part of the dinner experience. Nah, it's just the St. G vibe. Food? Every plate was very good to exceptional except the Wagyu, a bit overcooked and was served with pincers (Crickets......). Wagyu is overrated to me and have not gotten to appreciate it. Service was attentive, fun, helpful and informative. One less star for the wagyu as I get the sense St. G wants national acclaim (which I get,) so,,,,,, there is this vibe during dinner.....Still. Will come back. End of Yelp.

Michelin experience without the pretentiousness! Absolutely an amazing journey through culinary poetry. Enjoyed EVERY dish in the ten courses which is a feat in itself. High standards :) My only slight gripe would be the wagyu was actually a little tough and not fatty enough but still amazing. Didn't even bother taking one photo. Was too busy enjoying the whole experience. Loved the laid back yet knowledgeable attentive staff. I've had many two and three star Michelin rated restaurants but very few of them delivered like this place with each dish and wine pairing. So impressed! It was worth every penny. Will go back again when the menu changes to see if they can maintain that insane level of deliciousness. Bravo

Honestly the most phenomenal fine dining experience that I've ever had the pleasure of partaking in. The waiters and chefs are so knowledgeable on all the various layers of flavors, sauces, and herbs. The chef was nominated for a James Beard award in 2022. The clarified butter was aged for a year. And the wagyu herbed beef is only being served in one other American restaurant. Need I say more? The ten-course dinner served here will not only excite your tastebuds, it will transform your mind.

We had a fabulous dinner at Saint Germain. The staff all took turns bringing out food to each table, so you essentially got to know everyone. Everyone was very kind and knowledgeable and answered any questions we had. You make reservations online, you pay upfront, and you do not get a refund if you need to cancel. Walking up to the door, you essentially feel like you are walking into someone's house (this made us nervous lol). You open the door and are greeted by a few tables and chairs next to the bar. You view the drink menu and get to try some tasty starters before they bring you to the main dining room. I did like how casual yet modern the feel was. You also interacted with the chefs who created these delicious works of art. They were all so sweet and you could really tell how much love and devotion they put into their food. One thing I did find interesting is that they ask you about the occasion (in this case it was my boyfriend's birthday), but they did not really make any mention of this. Regardless, this was one of his favorite tasting menu experiences we have had so far. We also sat on their patio for a drink afterwards. Was a cute vibe!Food:We started with the Parmesan broth (not pictured) which was amazing. I wish I was able to bring some home with me!Hokkaido scallop, white asparagus, ramp -The taste of the scallop with the ramp was deliciousWhite asparagus, watercress, hollandaise -This was on a German crepe and had lots of flavors and textures Japanese beef, potato, green peppercorn -Best beef I've had so far, the sauce that was prepared to accompany the beef was absolutely delicious. It was a little hard to eat this portion as kitchen tweezers were provided instead of a fork and knife.Bread and butter -They age their butter to give it the perfect tasteCoral trout, tomato, olive -This one was one of my favorites, the taste of the fish combined with the Parmesan crisp and broth was heavenly.Sweetbreads, morel vinaigrette jaune -We have never heard of sweetbreads before, I'm glad I ate them first and asked questions later. They were surprisingly good!Squab, rice, cucumber (we got the upgrade and added truffle and caviar to the rice) -This was our first time trying squab, it was actually very good. My boyfriend does not like cucumbers and he said he loved the cucumber salad. We recommend getting the caviar and truffle in the rice if offered! Aerated chocolate, young rice -The aerated chocolate was delicious but I did not care for the rice balls in itSaint andre cheese soufflé -This soufflé with this creamy cheese sauce was an amazing savory yet sweet dessert. Every bite you were tasting a new flavor.Vanilla, hazelnut, Meyer lemon -This was my favorite out of the desserts, the creaminess, taste of the lemon and the crunchy hazelnut brought so many flavors and textures together.

I didn't know how to act around the cheese soufflé. What an awesome food experience. From the Parmesan broth to the dessert made especially for me because I have an almond allergy, this was an amazing tasting menu in a low-key, comfortable atmosphere.

Most importantly the food here is top notch. It is a bit expensive as I spent as much here as I have spent at 2-3 Michelin starred restaurants. The service was awesome and the staff are extremely kind and knowledgeable. You begin at the bar with a few starter courses and they also give you some time to go over the drink menu as they have a nice selection of premium spirits and great wine. We went with the wine pairing. The ambiance is nice and cozy here. The bar is small and the main dining area is fairly small too. It feels very home-like.My only complaints would be with the pricing and the amount you get. Some of the courses are extremely small and the wine pairing only really amounts to around 3 - 4 glasses. We did get the truffle additions and a couple of post meal drinks but for two people we spent over 700$. If money is of no concern then I say go for it.

I ate several good meals during my week in New Orleans, this was by far the best. Service was outstanding, the food was incredible, the restaurant is charming. We started on the patio, then moved to the bar, then the dining room. I've done a number of tasting menus before, I did not expect to love all 10 courses, especially because I am picky, but I loved everything the kitchen sent out. SG is at the top of my list for my next visit.

If only there was a Michelin Guide for New Orleans, this place would easily have 1-2 stars.Deep flavors, interesting ingredients, highest level of cooking and thoughtfulness and great service. The Parmesan broth to start was unctuous, the au poive sauce for the a5 wagyu was mind blowing, the Japanese rice with yuzu kosho and lardo that paired with the squab was amazing. And the cheese soufflé with the bruleed sugar was one of the most delicious desserts without being cloyingly sweet.

Every part of the experience of our meal was amazing. We did the 10 course tasting menu. The restaurant itself is just beautiful and seems to be in a home converted to fit their space. We began in the bar area with a special cocktail that I honestly cannot remember but it was very good. Had the first few courses at the bar before moving into the dining room for the remainder of the meal. We upgraded to having truffles which was an additional cost but we went into this meal knowing 1-this is a splurge and 2-we likely wouldn't get to experience this sort of thing again. Each course was amazing. Everyone who worked there were knowledgeable and friendly. If this is an option for you when in New Orleans, do it. It really was one of the best meals I have had in my life.

We finally made it to SG last night. It was not what I was expecting. Let's begin with the location. 2/5......It's on St. Claude right next o where Reds China was. That's about as close as you'll get because their signage is impossible to find. We had to call to figure out exactly where the location was. You enter the old home and receive the first few courses sitting at the bar. That is because there are only seats for 12 people in the entire place. Staff:3/5. The hostess was awesome. It was her first day on the job due to movie crew strikes. You The bartender was very nice and mixed a fine drink. Beyond that there really isn't much to brag about. Food: 2/5The first course was a tiny portion of something I took a picture of. The second course was something tiny I took a picture of. It tasted like a NYC street falafel but they weren't trying to create that flavor. All three of us were disappointed in the food. If I want tapas for $135 I can find much better places with a courteous wait staff.
