You will not be disappointed!We were in the area just strolling around killing time before a cocktail class just a block away at the Sazerac House. One of the window displays at Rubensteins caught my eye so we decide to take a look around. We were immediately met by Arthur who showed us around quickly and got to know us a little. I did not have any plans of buying clothes, but he was able to show me their own store branded shirts with a streetcar logo, which seemed like a great souvenir, and something I would actually wear unlike a touristy t shirt from across the road in the French Quarter!Arthur showed us a few other neat products they carry and things that you don't see everywhere! Rubensteins also seemed to have a wonderful set up for most custom clothes. While I dont wear suits very often, and due to that only own one truly nice made to order one.... the next time I need a blazer or suit, I would be tempted to find a good reason to visit New Orleans again to see Arthur again!Additionally, while they do not sell online, Arthur gave me his card and said they are always available by phone and email and can show what they have in stock and can purchase through them which is a nice touch!I would suggest stopping in for anyone who wants to take a look at some unique and very nice clothing and you never know what you may find, and the shopping experience will be wonderful!

We're staying at the new Rubenstein Hotel (very upscale I do have to say) My plan is, while my sons are out and about, let me slide into Rubensteins for a custom tailored suit. This had to be the quickest transaction in the history of the store:I walk in and I'm greeted by a dapper looking gentleman, Ozzie.I tell him I was at Commander's Palace last night. While on line at the hostess stand, I noticed there was a gentleman wearing the same dark blue Haspel suit. I grabbed the guy by the arm (sorry, I'm from New York) and said: Dude, are you wearing the same Haspel suit?? Why yes I am as he shows me the label. We both have good taste and it looks better on you!I told Ozzie, I'm on a mission. I'm going to Europe in a month and I want to look fly. I can't have the Brooks Brothers off the rack look, show me your best. My man pulls out this elegant black suit, I mean, I think I saw Obama wearing the same one but without an Italian pocket square. I said: Ozzie, I said I wanted fly but this is super fly!Next, I'm shown into the dressing room where the professional tailor is measuring the garment to my exact measurements. Now Ozzie is doing the upsell! He's showing me shoes, Italian ties and other items. I politely decline and say when I go back to New York, I have a guy.Now comes the final sale. I ask for military discount or even a hotel guest discount?? *Owners, you need to knock off 10% at least for these two itemsThe value is immeasurable! Professional salespeople who know their products and have a tailor on premise?Rubensteins, thanks for the incredible customer service and quality menswear.

I rarely leave a review for a shopping experience, but I could not pass on this one. I was walking by the store on a Wednesday afternoon while killing some time before heading to the airport. A few nice blazers in the window caught my eye, so I stopped to browse. As I step in, Ozzie Hunter approaches me, asking what he can help with. I mention first that I'm only browsing, and second I'd like to see some summer blazers. I was not in the market for anything new and had no intention of a purchase (certainly not at an upscale men's apparel store). Mr Hunter takes a moment to size me up I (I'm in a blue collared long-sleeve button-up, Prana travel khakis, and Allbird sneakers). We chat about what I'm doing (in town for a conference, I travel for work, and am from Arizona). He walks to the rack and plucks out a cool blue, ventilated travel blazer. I try it on, and it fits to a T. I'm smitten by the blazer and try to contain my amazement that he could find something so perfect on the first try. Just to be cool and look nonchalant, I try on a few others. Honestly, I'd consider almost everything outside of my budget, but I do recognize quality when I see it. Needless to say, I purchased the blue blazer and have no regrets. As I leave, Mr. Hunter introduces me to Andre Rubenstein. Ozzie, I appreciate the experience!

Came in clutch when lost luggage left me with no wedding clothes. Got me setup in style with alterations in time for the wedding.

Phenomenal men's clothing store for the upscale and elegantly casual gentleman. Professional and knowledgeable staff, willing to help you without overselling. Great accessories as well; take time to wander the store and don't rush! Shoes, pocket squares, handkerchiefs, shirts, blazers, cuff links - everything for the modern man. Highly recommended!

I had a family emergency while I was on vacation in Louisiana, and found myself urgently in need of formalwear before heading out to fly to my family. I popped into Rubensteins and Ozzie Hunter was a tremendous help. Not only did he size me up with a glance, he was also able to set me up with a great outfit that matched my style. His team moved quickly and I was able to focus on my family. I am grateful for his service and cannot recommend this place enough.

Came here for Father's Day during the week as a gifted experience to some family. After our vehicle went through valet we were greeted by 3 hosts. They introduced themselves and began to explain assist us all one by one with details, just as described in the personal style experience online. We bought a few accessories and few casual shirts and walked away with a wealth of knowledge and the store maintained everyone's measurements for future purchases. No online store so all purchases would need to be made over telephone if you're not local. Wonderful service here. The price of the suiting is comparable to the brand. Very expensive due to the quality.

I worked for Rubenstein Bros. many years ago and it was an honor. I met David Rubenstein and he hired me to work in sales in the downtown store. I had previously worked for a men's clothing chain in California for many years. The decor of the store, the brands of merchandise, the family history and most of all friends I made working there and the customers I will never forget!

I was in town for a wedding and needed a lighter suit and Roberto helped me out and was very knowledgeable and has great taste . He took care of me and had the jacket and pants tailored in a matter of hours! I even met the gentleman that own the store they have big city style with hometown hospitality.This is a gentleman's store like it should be , high quality and exceptional service . Thank you
