Bookending a strip of so many magnificent music venues in the Marigny neighborhood of New Orleans, the Royal Frenchman Hotel's bar boasts some of the best jamborees. Service at the bar was stellar moreover. A great place to start or sustain a night out on Frenchman!

Bespoke cocktails, music, and good company. That's what you get here on any night (music freeOn Thursdays). There isn't much seating so come early or plan to stand and Bob your head to the brass and strings.

We were at the bar and listened to jazz played there. The drinks were superior. We were a large group and enjoyed 12 different cocktails. All were well made and well presented. The bar is small, but they are fast. The music is in the middle room and the rooms are on the smaller side. You will have to come early or wait for a place to sit and the smaller space for dancing. I saw a very nice outdoor space behind the bar space but it was cold and not used while we were there. This is a gem. I would highly recommend this Jazz bar to anyone.

I like staying at new spots each time I go to NOLA, but I would definitely come back here! Plenty of NOLA charm paired with trippy art work to stare at. Clean, remodeled rooms. Friendly staff. Minimal parking spots available for purchase. Great location if you like this area of the city- next to jazz bars, coffee shops, gift shops, and restaurants. Across the street from a park where both children and dogs play. Comes with a continental breakfast of yogurt, bagels, coffee, etc. Has an attached bar to hang out at. My favorite part? Dog friendly!

Brendan - we can't say enough good things about this bartender. We had been barhopping all day and haven't been able to leave. Incredible craft cocktails - simply give him your preference and he will impress you. We have seen countless patrons come in during our 3+ hour stay and he has slayed it every single time.

Linden is amazing. The best cocktails I have ever had. If you can not decide there is basket of drink tickets for you to pick out of and figure it out. By far the best cocktail creations I have seen. Homemade infusions are amazing. Ambiance and music is amazing as well.

I have no idea what the actual hotel accommodations are like, but the live music selection was ON POINT. Sierra Green and her band were so good! We left because we were on a live music crawl, but came back ultimately because it was the best we heard all night! Highly recommend for a Saturday night outing.

This place is about five times nicer than the place I have been staying and is somehow the same price. Frenchmen Street is obviously a little loud, but I dare you to find a hotel in New Orleans that isn't loud. This place has soft towels and toilet paper, a large selection of toiletries, a decent continental breakfast spread, a fancy coffee maker, a nice patio... There are some water stains on the walls, but, again, I challenge you to find a hotel in New Orleans without them.

This is a great hotel in Marigny right on Frenchman Street. There is live music practically every night and they put tables outside so you can enjoy the music while watching the crowds go by. The staff is friendly and helpful. Rooms are elegant. (Try for a balcony facing Frenchman) There is a great park just across the street where you can exercise your dog as the hotel is very pet friendly! There are plenty of restaurant choices within walking distance and you are only short blocks to the French Quarter. We love this place!

I made a reservation at the Royal Frenchman for two nights at the conclusion of a cruise. When I got to the hotel at 11am I was told the room was not ready. I then sat for three hours. When I enquired at 2:30 I was told there was a note on my reservation that I had been upgraded at no charge but the room was not ready. At 3pm I enquired again. She said let me go see if the room is ready. She returned and played with her computer. Then she said it looks like we overbooked and we do not have a room for you. But, do not worry, you will get a refund. I asked her what I was supposed to do. She said "that's not my job." I found another hotel and Uber'd there. Now back at home, I find out the hotel charged me again for that first night. And, I have not received any refund. I called the hotel but no one returns my call.
