Rouses Market

I wish I have a supermarket like Rouses in CA. The produce is so fresh and looked like harvest around here. The bakery have the most amazing cakes. Wow, it looks like from a fancy bakery and the price is so great. In CA, the prices is way higher than here so I am happy to see the produces are affordable. The staffs are so nice and friendly. It is a pleasure to go grocery shopping.

The customer service is amazing!! I had my daughter's birthday cake custom made and they did an incredible job! Everyone lovveeddd the flavors. My birthday girl enjoyed it so very much! HUGE Thank you to the bakery all around Rouses is a great clean store with a variety of options.

Rouse's has a pretty good selection of just about everything. I appreciate that they focus on local, Louisiana products and businesses. The produce section is good. They carry a lot of organic produce which is nice. The liquor/booze section is impressive. Prices are comparable with the other grocery stores around. At peak times the parking lot is nutty and inside the store is a zoo. Checkout lines can get long but seem to move pretty quickly. The hot food offerings and rotisserie chickens are very good.

I love all the choices in the vegetables, cheeses,meats,and bakery. I enter for one thing and am enticed to browse . Bad for the budget, but I so enjoy the experience.

This Market is amazing .. Great inventory .. Well-Stocked...Traveling from Los Angeles .. I was truly excited to find a grocery store that was not a chain .. And at the top of the grocery-game...It was Very clean and had superb-customer-service...Was thrilled to find Savoie's Andouille Sausages for my Gumbo which were delicious...Wish we had a store like this in Los Angeles...Oh well .. See you in November...

This store is just like your typical grocery store but with so much more things to offer besides groceries. Even though we were on a quick run for 2 things I managed to walk through the store and see what they had to offer. Next time I will make sure to bring my phone so I could take pics.They had quite a few child good staples and novelty's that I enjoyed as a kid; and still do if I'm in Louisiana to get them. The store was fully stocked, well lit, reasonably priced items, lots of deals, sales and the restroom was clean.I will be going back to shop and bring sometimes back to Texas that I missed.

Great selection of basic groceries plus Louisiana and Cajun staples. I love the bakery!! Gentilly parfait cups are a must ! $4.99. I will go out of my way for that, or a bag of Leidenheimer's rolls. Put them in your freezer, and enjoy at your leisure- delicious crisp bread in five minutes! Produce is lovely, and it's the only place I know to find frozen butter peas. Store is clean, and employees are pleasant and seem happy to work here. Also, unique Louisiana themed gifts in the floral department just inside the door- fair prices. I love Rouse's!!

It's December and suddenly, I had the major cravings for king cake. Mardi Gras season doesn't come by until January but I couldn't wait until then. I really wanted my hands on the king cake so I made a call out to the bakery department of Rouses. After a few minutes into the conversation, an order of the Bavarian stuffed king cake was placed for next day pick up!The moment it arrived home, I quickly went in for a wedge. Yup, not a slice but a very big cut of the cake! The light soft bread with swirls of cinnamon and sugar all throughout reminded me of a warm and fluffy cinnabun. The custard that is stuffed inside of the bread was slightly sweet and definitely velvety! Atop of the cake, sits a layer of icing that is generously sprinkled with multicolored sugar that represents the Mardi Gras theme. Very nostalgic!My palate and I would love to thank the staff who made the order possible. The king cake was so good that I couldn't stop praising how amazing it was to my family!

I'd never been to the Slidell Rouse's before, but on investigation, it's a good-sized store, and one of the cleaner and more open ones. This store seemed to have an inordinately large area devoted to wine, if that's your thing, but the New Orleanian soft drinks I was seeking were in stock as well. I didn't have to wait to check out, which I usually do at most of the New Orleans Rouses. They had a curbside delivery lane set up for those who prefer not to shop in-person. For my needs, it was right near the local Creole bagel place, so that's good as well. No complaints about this store.

It was late and I picked up in-store sushi. A California roll and some Sashimi. It was surprisingly good and fresh.Slice of cheesecake from the bakery- Yum A couple of great sale finds- avocados - 2 for $1, and cans of albacore tuna in water- $.97 ea.Otherwise, I found prices to be a bit high, and would not regularly shop here.Store was clean, organized, and friendly staff.
