Store is well-laid out so everything is easy to find. Produce is a good selection and fresh. Employees are friendly and helpful.

Everything was well stocked considering the day after a holiday. All the employees I saw were working and re-stocking everything. The king cakes were being put out along with some of the bakery items are on sale. No long wait line at the register with fast check out. The only issue I saw was a lot of shopping carts in the parking lot, otherwise it was a pleasant experience.

January 2025: There was a sale on pork roast but they ran out and gave me the same price for pork loin. I was immensely grateful until I opened the package. It was rotten. How could they allow rotten meat to be sold at such a nice store? I am deeply disappointed. ​

Closed 10 minutes early because no one wanted to work until 10PM. I shop at this store everyday at this time and have never been turned away in all the years I have shopped there. I come right after work which is the only time I have time. This ruined my night. I guess Walmart is better choice after all!

I have purchased my husband's Black Forest birthday cake from a gourmet bakery (in Hammond) for almost 20 years now. I've always had to get his cake at least one day early, as his birthday is on July 4th. The gourmet shop is closed July 4th. This year I would've had to get his cake 3 days BEFORE his birthday. 4th of July fell on Tuesday and bakery is closed on Sunday & Monday. Rouses always has great bakery goods, so I decided I would try their Black Forest for a change. AT ROUSES . . .I can pick his cake up ON his actual birthday, July 4th!The cakes from both bakeries were comparable in size.The Rouses cake was very moist. The gourmet shop has always been dry. I'd come to think that Black Forest were meant to be dry. There was MUCH MORE shaved chocolate on the Rouses cake!I don't actually care for anything too sweet, but even I have always found the gourmet shop's cake whipped frosting bland. I've actually told my husband I think it has no flavor at all. The Rouses whipped frosting (in comparison) was just as creamy and light as the gourmet shop, YET it had a slight sweetness that was perfect! I love it, because it has ACTUAL FLAVOR without being too sweet.Although I have never mind paying the high cost of the gourmet bakery shop . . . the Rouses cake was (literally) HALF THE PRICE! ONLY thing the gourmet bakery does better is they dip the cherries that go on top of the cake in chocolate. I can dip the cherries myself!I'll never go anywhere else!

Customer service- poor. Cailyn was rude and had poor people skills. Cleanness- adequate. Grocery selection- unimpressive.

What a awesome store. The staff is so amazing. I couldn't find some items and they bought me right to them. The store is super clean. Check out was extremely fast. Prices are a little high but worth every penny.
