I seriously used to love rouses so much living in Metairie. But visiting in Gonzales, i knew that Leblancs was the place to go. After rouses took over Leblanc, I've seen this place go downhill. It's just not what it used to be. The hot food isn't great. The meats are terrible!! Ground beef red on the outside and completed brown on the inside...:raw ground beef shouldn't be brown if it's uncooked....not unless it's not fresh anymore. The service in the meat department is terrible. I asked for a cut and he said "yes it's complimentary but I'm too busy to help you." Well. Okay. I go because sometimes it's just too much of a hassle to make it elsewhere but honestly, it's not my go-to.

Customer service done right! This is by far the friendliest, most accommodating, and knowledgeable staff you will find. They have a great selection on just about everything you can imagine, and if you do have items on your list they do not carry, they will order it for you. I love the organic selections they offer as well as the deli, bakery, meat dept. and they even serve gelato and beignets. The Italian cream cake is family favorite and they serve cakes by the slice. This is one of the few grocery stores I actually enjoy my time while shopping. Upstairs is a seating and dining area and they also have meeting rooms available.

Love this store! I remember a while ago all of my coworkers kept talking about the new Leblanc's. I just had to see what all of the hype was about. I have been here plenty of times and let me just say it's freaking awesome!!You walk through the doors and BOOM!! Great customer service everywhere. Looking to the left there is a sign in cool colors of the specials they have for the month on different meats and platters. Looking over is an awesome fruit bar with workers right behind it to help if you need something more specific made. There is also a hot bar right across from it where you get your hot plates...chicken wings, potato wedges and much more. Walking past the cold cooler filled with chicken salads and different cheeses there is the sushi bar!!! This sushi was so good, taste just like the restaurants they also have different soups and salads like you would get at a sushi restaurant. (Pssssss... Got the chicken salad, sushi and miso soup it was the bomb.com) Walking past the breads and sweets section there is a place where you can get pizza, sandwiches made, and deli meats as well. Talk about awesome. And you don't know the half of it... Guess what?!I have been here for a birthday party before.. And you're thinking (girl what? Why? How?) Well there is an elevator/stairs you can take upstairs and it is a whole different ball game. I mean a nice venue a little restaurant area with seating and a room closed off for a party. This is super cool and a great fun fact! So next time you want to host a party tell your peeps PARTY AT LEBLANC'S YALL! Overall I have had great experiences here the workers are super friendly and willing to help the aisles are neat and they have a lot of great products. Grabbed a little box of hummus and veggies chips at the register (like a BOSS, oh yeah!!)

This review is on Rouse's meat. I went in the other day and decided to get some country pork ribs. They had out 2 family packs so I picked the one that looked the best. It weighed about 4.5 lbs. I open them up today to season them u to put in the crock pot. That is where the nightmare began. When I turned these beautiful ribs over to start seasoning them up I found something horrifying. I only wish I would have thought to take a picture. One rib was a solid bone with a thin layer of meat on top, and a layer of fat on back. Most of the rest of the ribs had, on the side that they weren't showing you, was about 1/4# of fat. All in all I probably had to throw away 1.5 lbs of fat off of 4.5 lbs of ribs. I never thought I never thought I would say this, but if you want packaged me go to Walmart, Sam's, or Winn Dixie. STAY AWAY from Rouse's.

Great options, fresh produce, friendly staff. All you could want in a grocery store. If you are looking for it, you can pretty much find it at LeBlanc's. The difference we have found shopping here is you'll find good sale prices on various items week to week and the friendliness of the staff....they go above and beyond to make sure you are satisfied and helped.

I patronized this store today and -as always, found the personnel kindly and very helpful (from the nice lady who greeted me as l was walking in, up until the cashier Kimberly who checked me out).Special thanks to Austin, in the meat department, who stopped stocking to cut me Oxtails to my specifications and then assisting me again by retrieving an item on the top shelf staged in the very back of a frozen shelf.Every time l have entered this store, l am met with excellent customer service and find quality foodstuff. This store has became my preferred grocery store. It speaks volumes of the store's leadership.

This is the 3rd time I get food from the Prairieville location. Had raw fried chicken on two occasions and recently had boiled shrimp and sausage that taste like it was boil or resoaked in old or bad water. Three strikes so I will never buy any cooked food from them again.

rouse used to be a good place to shop when they bought it from leblances. today i went there to get rouse 2% milk. the freshest milk was expiring in 3 days, and the rest have been expired for 3 days or more. but all the high dollar milk had good expiration dates. how does the board of health let them get away with that? they need to do a surprise inspection. go when they are not expecting them. instead they get a heads up so they spend all day setting their affairs in order before the inspection. (that last coment was speculation only. not fact.)
