I had breakfast at Rosedale this morning and felt compelled to write this review today. I've been here at least a dozen times for brunch, lunch, and dinner, and each visit was exceptional.The service is consistently outstanding, and today was no exception--Margaret was my waitress and was amazing!Over my many visits, I've enjoyed a variety of dishes: the fried cauliflower, duck pastrami sandwich, cochon de lait poboy, Rosedale burger, huevos rancheros, pecan pie with vanilla ice cream, and the warm chocolate espresso brownie. Everything is always fresh, flavorful, and absolutely delicious.This morning, I had my go-to favorite: the meatloaf sandwich with an egg, paired with steak fries. This sandwich is hands-down my favorite in the city, and the aioli for the fries takes the meal to another level.Chef Susan Spicer is often in the kitchen herself, ensuring every dish is perfect--a testament to her dedication and love for what she does.If you're looking for an exceptional meal in New Orleans, Rosedale is the place to be. Incredible food, impeccable service, and a cozy atmosphere--it's a true gem!

From the slightly spicy, slightly sweet fried chicken thighs to the whipped and creamy taramasalata dip, everything from this hidden spot was delicious and delectable. Tucked away in an old police station, Rosedale offers a wide variety of classic Southern eats at an affordable price point. Our favorites were the fried chicken plate and the taramasalata dip. 9/10 We will most certainly be back to try more delicious eats!

This is a great casual place with solid food. The guacamole may be the best I've ever had. We also had the fish roe dip, duck pastrami, Cochon de lait, side of Mac and cheese ($5) and special red snapper ($29). Service was relaxed and cheerful. I thought the guacamole and Mac and cheese serving sizes were a bit small for the price - but everything was delicious.

A great restaurant tucked away in an adorable historic mid-city building. The staff are all very kind and knowledgeable, as is Susan Spicer herself (the one behind the whole operation!). I absolutely love love LOVE the duck pastrami sandwich, BBQ shrimp, cochon de lait poboy, fried cauliflower.... I could go on! There is always a lovely selection of local beers and tasty wines available to order as well. Do yourself a favor and go treat yourself to a meal at Rosedale!

First time and it exceeded my expectations. My friend and I got the duck pastrami sandwich with Gruyère cheese. Very very delicious! When in the mid city, try it! You will not be disappointed. They take reservations too!

This is my second visit. The service is friendly and casual. The atmosphere is relaxing but the tables are a bit close to each other and very small for larger orders. The menu was a bit different this time which was a nice surprise. I'd like to see some mocktails on the drink menu. Most dishes were very good, meticulously prepared and flavorful. The huevos rancheros looked lovely but the tortilla crunch made it more like nachos than breakfast, the pork was well cooked and tender but the dish was lacking flavor. The pumpkin soup was savory and delicious. The meatloaf sandwich sounds ordinary but it was packed with flavor and delicious. The

Wow, Rosedale. Rosedale has been a restaurant on my restaurants to try list for a while and I am SO GLAD that I did. Rosedale is tucked away in Lakeview and is a hidden gem. This place is cute and has excellent vibes, but the food is the star! The fried cauliflower was crispy and extremely flavorful. It is fried and covered with pepper jelly and crab boil aioli. My entree, the meatloaf sandwich. WOW. It comes on french bread with roast garlic aioli, bacon jam, and arugula (I got mine without!). And it was SO TASTY. It is one of the best sandwiches I have ever had. I will definitely be back and I will dream about the meatloaf sandwich every night until then.

The Rosedale experience starts at the front door, "Right place, wrong door" ...an arrow points you to the side of the building with a nice wide, accessible ramp and an easy to open door. "Jonas" the managing partner greeted us with a smile and seated us at our reserved table -a last minute reservation he made for me at the "hallway table" (much like a chef's table). The setting for two was perfect -a comfortable, practical wooden affair with a candle lit on the table adding a bit of light to the dimly lit environment. The noise level was noticeably calm with an occasional clinking of dishes from the kitchen and minimal conversation between the friendly staff. Ah, the staff -a front of house running like a fine timepiece, everyone movng at a pace best described as intentional, not rapid nor hurried, not a hint of stress on a busy Valentine's evening. One of the chefs stopped at our table to visit with us, welcoming us with her genuine kindness. Our server was so friendly and her table visits to care for us were always appropriate and timely. Other servers passing by would stealthily remove any spent plate or utensil with a smile. The food was excellent, plated nicely and hot from the kitchen. There's a definite culture here and it's subtle -as it should be. We waited for nothing, wanted for nothing and were thankful for this excellent dining experience. We've been to most of NOLA's finest but this gem ranks superior to them all.

Went with a large group in December and I was pleasantly surprised. Service was excellent, drinks were delicious and came out quickly. The food was not the fastest but worth the wait because everything I tried was delicious! Fried chicken 10/10.
