Very cool library! The offer so many things during the week for the community! It's very likely that they have some type of programming that you're interested in throughout the week. I attend a conversational Spanish circle on Wednesdays from 6-7. It's very informal and very helpful for me since I want to practice my Spanish on a regular basis. They also offer a conversational French session on Tuesday nights. The librarian was eager to help me, and she showed me how to navigate their website to use online resources for FREE! I love supporting my local libraries because they are such a great resource to the community and cater to a variety of interests. Notes: They have nice lounge chairs sit and work in or to read in. Large enough parking lot. The bathroom is kept tidy!

This library is very state of the art! I've become a regular to this library for many reasons and I will list a few. The staff are very professional, welcoming, and helpful. There's never a wait for the computers and they even offer login information to guest's who don't posses a library card, without any hassle. There a many available a/c outlets to allow you to charge your electronic devices. There's always security on the premises which is great for the crazy times we live in today. There's an onsite cafe area which allows you to grab a bite to eat. The book area is condensed but filled with lots of good reads. If something you're looking for isn't available, there's options on special orders and etc. There's a ramp in case anyone has difficulty using stairs and there's also outside seating in case you want to read or sit outside and enjoy the weather. There also Wi-Fi available. This place is not your run of the mill library.

This is a well laid out library with some parking with it which certainly makes it easier to visit. They have some decent meeting space and the interior of the building is nicer than I would have guessed from the exterior. They have a lot of different offerings throughout the week so this is certainly a good resource for the area. Overall a library is a good thing and a good library is a great thing so make sure to check out this library to see for yourself.

This is easily one of the best libraries I've ever visited. While the collection may be smaller than other branches, things can easily be ordered. The employees are very happy and helpful. They have plenty to offer, including a family cooking course happening right now next to me and I'm dying because it smells so delicious. I'm tempted to go find a child just so I can jump in. They also have adult cooking classes, which I'm probably going to go sign up for now.Solid internet connection. Clean bathrooms. Cool AC.They used to have a cafe here but they closed - probably prematurely - 'cause the library is attracting more and more people as the days go by. This is what the future of the library looks like.

This is the first public library I've stepped into in New Orleans. I've stepped into some other libraries, but those were associated with UNO, Tulane, Loyola, etc...This was just really nice inside, everything is still brand new, and everything still smells brand new. It was surprising to find such a nice space in an area otherwise to be known as somewhat shady. The library collection is still small, but it makes up for it with the computer resources and great study spaces that can be found inside and outside the library. There's also a cafe located inside (Green Dot) which I'm probably going to give a try.

What an amazing new addition to the Broadmoor neighborhood. This has already become a fantastic community facility holding numerous programs every week such as: knitting circles, ESL tutoring, homework help, computer classes, and chess club....just to name a few. They are also planning cooking classes in the teaching kitchen on site.Overall, it is a great space and a great resource.

The Rosa Keller Branch is now open. All I can say is, "wow!" Seriously. "WOW!"It's hard to believe that a library like this exists in New Orleans (Broadmoor). It looks like it belongs in some rich suburb. It was worth the wait. The facility is very modern and clean. There are windows everywhere, so the natural light is fantastic. There is a magazine area with comfortable chairs. There are numerous computers that library cardholders can use for an hour at a time. There's plenty of indoor and great outdoor seating for patrons. The outdoor areas are particularly nice. This is much more than a library--it's a community space. There are meeting rooms and a small community kitchen. There's also a coffee shop (Green Dot) that was quite good.New Orleans' newest library is a gem! I can't believe I'm saying this, but I can't wait to go back!

Nice little library branch way out on Broad (not my local hood, so this is out of the way for me)... I've mostly been to this branch for meetings of random sorts (writers group, a screenwriting talk event) and its meeting spaces/community center is pretty awesome. This library was designed for meetings- when you go in the door, the book part is to the left and to the right is a community center with a bunch of nice, comfortable meeting spaces that are perfect for small groups. And lots of groups take advantage- in addition to the events I've attended, I've seen what seems to be foreign language groups, baby CPR classes and lectures. There is also a little deck/patio in the back where people can sit and read or chat. The library also hosts its own events for kids and teens, so that's worth checking out if you're a local parent. There is a cafe that is currently closed, but I've heard rumors that someone is taking over the cafe soon and it may be reopened? I don't have any further details, but that's the gossip.
