At Christmas time, I picked up a magazine that featured a pendant from Ron Jewelers. I visited the store on December 18, 2021. I was helped by Alexis who was professional and courteous. I really wanted the pendant, and was quoted a price and told that it would arrive before Christmas. I accepted the price, but then was asked to pay up front. Without thinking about that clearly, I agreed and paid. I wasn't that worried about it because I was told that I would have the pendant in a few days.Alexis was kind of pushy about leaving a review, and texted me after I had left the store to request one. I did leave a positive review at that time. Two days later is when things started to go sour. Alexis called me on Monday to tell me that the piece would not be in by Christmas, and could take as long as eight weeks. She said that if I didn't want to wait that long, I could get a store credit and choose something else. I explained that I wanted the pendant, not something else, and if they couldn't produce the pendant, I needed a refund not a store credit. She offered me some stud earrings for my trouble, and again I had to reiterate that I either needed the pendant or I needed a refund because that's what we were contracted for. She again told me that the pendant would definitely be in within the eight weeks, so without any real recourse I decided to wait. I also did not accept the stud earrings, because that would have been an acceptance of something of value other than the pendant.Approaching eight weeks, I got a text message from Ron Jewelers asking me to leave another positive review on Yelp. I texted back that I would wait to leave a review until I actually received the pendant. I then got another call from a sales associate other than Alexis. We had another conversation about the pendant, and was told that if I wasn't happy I could get a store credit and have some stud earrings for my trouble. I again explained that we were contracted for the pendant and that I would not accept a store credit. I either needed the pendant or I needed a refund. I explained that this isn't covered by the return policy. I wasn't returning anything. I hadn't received anything in the first place. She says she has to talk to the owner, and then call me back. She does call me back, and tells me that the return policy is on every receipt. She also tells me that the pendant will take another few weeks. At this point it becomes pretty clear to me that I'm not going to get the pendant, and the best Ron Jewelers is going to do is give me a $2,700 store credit. I asked that the owner call me, but the owner never called me. After a few more days, given my lack of faith in this transaction and the fact that I had been lied to at least twice, I consulted my attorney. At this point I was expecting to have to file a lawsuit. My attorney took the time to tell me that I should never pay for jewelry without seeing it first and being able to take immediate delivery. Well, thanks for that, but it's a little late now. He then instructed me that before filing a lawsuit I should file a charge-back with my credit card company for non-delivery of merchandise, which I did. The credit card company took my information and told me they would contact the merchant for their side of the story.A day later, someone from Ron Jewelers calls me to tell me that now they have the pendant. That seems a fine coincidence to me, so I again consulted my attorney who told me that I was not under any obligation to receive anything from Ron Jewelers and that I should leave it with the credit card company to handle. I followed this advice and successfully received a refund.I have now made two new life rules for myself:1. I will not pay for jewelry without seeing it first and being able to take immediate delivery.2. I will not do business with Ron Jewelers.I feel like all of this could have been avoided if the owner would have called me and had a conversation with me and dealt with me in good faith, but that never happened.

Okay I have a busy schedule and don't normally leave reviews but this place and the people in it are something I definitely would like to tell you about. When Ron's Jewelers first opened their store on the corner of Williams and Vintage in Kenner Louisiana. I thought okay another jewelry store ,but after I had been in there a couple of times I was just blown away at the personalize service I was given. It is a very beautiful and elegant store. It is run very professionally they personally assist you to the point that you feelas if you were family and they would do anything to make you happy. They really strive to go the extra mile to be sure you are happy and totally satisfied with whatever you are trying to achieve whether it be looking at some of their beautiful jewelry or getting an article fixed, or even having them order some thing hard to find, or maybe some unique piece you would like to have created. They are there for you. If they even think that maybe you might not be 100% satisfied with what it is that you are trying to do. They will do whatever needs be to done to be sure that you are! Ron's jewelers was so refreshing to me that I had to share it with you I am that impressed!

Kenner, Louisiana We had a horrible experience. If I could zero stars I would!I would NEVER recommend Ron's Jewelers. What they did not know I am a graduate of the Diamond Institute Of America and knew exactly what I wanted. Paula was our sales associate and I told her I was looking for a 1ct SI1 solitare set in 14k. Her exact words to us was well, I have something better for you guys it's a 1ct G in color VS1 in clarity. We were like yes ok we want that. NEVER ONCE WAS TOLD IT WAS A LAB CREATED DIAMOND. I had to have it sized and was told it would be ready Monday morning that they would have the Jeweler work over the weekend to have it ready. Well, Monday morning came around and I got the excuse my Jewelers daughter was in the hospital and it would be Wednesday. I was disappointed but understanding. Wednesday came around and my ring was the 1ct SI1 and it was set in 10k. I was really upset. My ring was switched from the 1ct G VS1 and 14k. (Diamond and gold switching is illegal) and my sizing was a total crap job. So, I called and spoke with the manager Gina and explained just that. She apologized and said she would have it fixed. Now the owner Ron is involved and on Friday 11/12/21 I received a text from Ron stating my DIAMOND has arrived and my ring is being put together later that evening we go in to pick up my ring and Gina read us the appraisal and skipped the part it was a lab created diamond. Mind you the appraisal said it was worth over $13,000. As we are leaving and at the red light at Williams and West Esplanade I started to read the appraisal and saw it was a LAB CREATED DIAMOND. NOW IM ANGRY!!! I called Gina and said this is bullshit I want my money back you keep lying to my face. Stop playing me for a fool. We go back in and Ron is trying to calm me down and telling me lab created diamonds hold value. That's a bold face lie. We did get our money back. In my OPINION this man is a liar and fraud and got caught! My PSA is if you had anything sized from there go to a gold buying place and have your gold tested. My hunch is that they used 10k for everything. I would NEVER recommend this place. They tried playing us for fools not once, not twice, not three, but four times in a span of 6 days. We went to Aucoin Hart and sat with a designer and 45 minutes after we designed my ring it was on my finger. I recommend Aucoin Hart, they have beautiful and affordable merchandise and a wonderful sales team. Jewelers on hand in store.

Almost 2 years ago in December my husband and I went to Ron Jewelry to pick out a necklace. This week I had to have the clasp repaired and at this time I was advised that the chain was not gold but silver. The pendant was gold though. My receipt stated both chain and pendant were gold. They charged me for gold. I will never use them again. They should hire sales associates with jewelry knowledge.

I haven't made a purchase here yet, but I stopped in to see if they could possibly fix my husbands chain. I was greeted by Myra and Gina who made me feel very welcome and they were happy to take a look at the chain for me even though it wasn't purchased there and they were able to fix it! They were very personable and I didn't feel pressured by them to make a purchase, but based on their customer service, I will definitely be back next time I need to buy something!
