The ambiance is very fun and energetic. I stayed nearby for a couple of work trips and each time I passed by it's always been packed. They have a cool patio and lots of small groups of people hanging out. Friends, dates, after work happy hours, etc. Pretty cool vibe. I ordered 3 different types of rolls and they all were pretty good. What hindered my dining experience was being seated in front of the sushi bar and witnessing two different chefs handle the raw fish with their bare hands. I can't remember ever seeing this at a sushi restaurant, ever. They always have on gloves. To make matters worse I saw one gentlemen itch his ear, remove his ear buds and place them on the cutting counter, and another guy with a very long beard with no sort of guard to catch falling hairs. I really almost walked out after seeing this but realized my chef thankfully was the 1 guy actually following what would be expected sanitary & food prep protocol. I read through a couple of other reviewers mention the same thing about no gloves and long hair or beard with nothing to keep it in place. Really this is gross. It ruined an otherwise pleasurable dining experience. My server was bubbly, friendly, and friendly quick. I think the restaurant itself is very cool but management (and possibly the health department?) needs to get things in line.

Average experience here. The place was very nice aesthetically, but service was on the slower side & it is also kind of pricey. The yaki soba was my favorite part of the entire meal! In my opinion, a lot of the sushi rolls were similar in their components, though they were all pretty nice to look at. The delaRoll was actually quite spicy - and I was not prepared for that. Flavor wasn't bad, but a little too spicy for me. The volcano roll was a much better roll in my opinion. The mini baked salmon bites seemed like they lacked some flavor. Overall, not terrible.

The sushi is absolutely delicious. Our waitress was very kind and had some great recommendations. It is a very loud restaurant though, so it's very difficult to hear the people at your own table, also making it hard to have a big party. But a great date night place and the food is definitely good enough to overlook the noise.

Best sushi in Lafayette! They're always consistent and it's always so fresh. We always go on Tuesday's for their special night. On Tuesday's, if you buy a full priced roll, you can get the roll of the month for $6 or the tiger roll for $6. It's the best! It's really great when the weather is cool and you can enjoy dining on the outside patio.

Absolutely amazing!! They have nice and fresh sushi with some super creative rolls. The chopstick shrimp appetizer is so so good. It's pricey for what it is though... $9 for 4 pieces of shrimp. Regardless, it's delicious! For sushi, we got the Warehouse Roll (tuna, yellowtail, fresh salmon, smelt roe, asparagus & avocado) and Voodoo Queen Roll (panko-fried salmon, jalapeños, avocado, & snowcrab rolled with spicy tuna, jalapeño-sweet chili mayo, green onions & tempura flakes on the outside). Both rolls were really tasty. The Voodoo Queen was a bit heavy, but the Warehouse was lighter and balanced it out. My boyfriend got Yaki Soba Chicken and loved it.The dessert? Tempura fried cheesecake. OUT OF THIS WORLD. Perfect cheesecake (not too sweet) fried in what tasted like funnel cake and placed in a pillow of whipped cream. It reminded me of carnival food but in the best way possible. I would get this 100000 times. My only big complaint is how loud it is inside. I couldn't even hear my boyfriend across the table from me. They blare the music, everyone is talking super loud, and there is noting that soaks up the noise.

The sushi, service, and ambiance are all solid. And did you know they make a sushi king cake? Such a fun idea, and unlike some other bastardizations of king cake, this one actually tastes great! Two adults and three kids approved, and there were leftovers to boot. Honestly, it's a great value for the quantity and quality. Give it a try before it's gone until next season!

Met a friend from Baton Rouge for an early dinner. She couldn't wait to have the brussel sprouts. We were very disappointed when the came out almost shredded instead of the usual whole/half. Very hard to eat with chopsticks. When asked we were told the owners think it's easier this way. Easier is not always better. Will not be ordering again

Some of these negative reviews are absolutely retarded. Rock-n is the best sushi spot in Lafayette for cut rolls - by far the most creative. Not to sound like a snob but I'm from South Florida and would put their rolls up against any restaurant down there. Rock-n also has a great vibe and can't beat the location in RR. Obviously during peak hours they are going to be crowded and service can be a little slow - but that should be expected.

I live nearby and go here quite often to eat. They've got a really good selection of Sushi and Sashimi and a great bar top boot if you're single and looking for a place to meet others.
