This Robert's is close to our home, but prices are very expensive so it's not doable for us to shop here full time. We do like a few items specifically-- Great for boiled crawfish, boiled shrimp, fried fish and other ready to eat foods. Great dips as well!

Robert's seems to get worse and worse particular in the deli when trying to get sliced cold cuts. There are some employees in the deli/meat section there that are extremely rude to customers, as if you are inconveniencing them if they have to get you anything. The prices at Robert's are not very good to begin with. Most of their inventory is higher priced than all of their local competitors and they only have a few competitive sale items. It's not worth the hassle of dealing with the rudeness and incompetence. I suggest getting your groceries somewhere else unless you are desperate.

Robert's online delivery service is excellent - cutting edge in the Metairie area. The selections are practically a complete match to those found in the stores.Their delivery fee is extremely reasonable and orders delivered the next day.One of the managers, Brice, goes way beyond and above the normal service expectations to insure his customers are well taken care of in Robert's rapidly growing online service.Being a New Orleans native, we all knew Robert's as market with high quality stock and gourmet level in-store prepared food. Now I had to move to Seattle for work, leaving my cherished (90 year old) mother behind until I can get things ready for her to move here.Robert online service has made it possible for me, with great reliability to ensure she gets exactly the foods she wants on a timely basis. There was a computer glitch which delayed my mother's monthly order, but the manager of this location, Brice, took care of it personally and got it delivered when promised. This is just one example of the type of quality of the store managers:I remember one of the managers at this location, years ago, telling me about their new brown rice sushi and its low glycemic benefits. He was really proud of this cutting edge offering for its health benefits.

Not a bad place to stop by for basic items like milk, bread, etc.I live in the neighborhood behind Roberts, and have tried to shop here for my regular groceries. They don't have a lot of selection and some of the items I was looking at on the shelves were expired -such as the Organic Ketchup- so needless to say I was unsuccessful and now do my regular shopping at Rouses on Power. However I did find a few great items there, which is what I've based this review on- the shrimp and french bread! The raw shrimp are always fresh, and of better size and quality than most local seafood markets (such as Dennis Seafood, or David Dr. Seafood). I stop here at least once a week to buy about 3 lbs. They also have great boiled shrimp and crawfish. The French bread is absolutely amazing here, some of the best in Metairie! The produce area is nice, and they have some organic items. They also have an exceptionally large selection of beautiful flowers.

Friendly employees and great products make this Robert's especially great. They have a new manager who always has a friendly smile and cordial greeting. Do they not carry your specific item? Tell them. They'll order it. That's just part of what makes this local grocery the best.Check out the salad bar, hot food items, or pre-prepared items; you won't be disappointed.

My brother has a severe shellfish allergy and purchased the already made stuffed bell pepper after reading the ingredients and shellfish was not mentioned. It was also labeled ground beef stuffed bell pepper. He bites into it and gets a mouthful of shrimp. He called to inform the manager what happened and the manager's response was "what do you want me to do." He received no apology and the manager didn't seemed concerned for him and that could have been really bad had he swallowed that bite. I imagine that the health inspectors would think he deserved more than a nonchalant response to mis marked food that potentially caused someone to go into anaphylactic shock.

Robert's use to be a high-end grocery but it is under new management for about 6 months and has gone way downhill. They package bad parts of the meat you would not eat to make it weigh more which is just low down. It's an Associated Grocer account and they stopped carrying many good brands not to mention it is dirtier than ever. Do NOT go to Robert's. I'm sad to say that but I'll drive a few blocks further from now on. Sad.

This is for the bakery only! Ordered a cake for my Grandson's birthday because we love their cakes. My Grandson asked for an LSU themed cake like he had the year before(which was done beautifully). We go to pick up the cake on the way to his party and the cake was NOTHING like we had requested. Not that it wasn't delicious, it just wasn't what he requested, LSU. We even watched her write down LSU on the order but whomever decorated the cake took it upon themselves to NOT do LSU on the cake but to put a large Fleur De LIs. Again I'm not saying the cake wasn't great tasting but when all a little boy wants is an LSU themed cake, WHY would someone do that! I bet they wouldn't disappoint their Grandchild!!! Do your job and follow instructions!!!!
