River Bar

Great cocktails, especially if you are killing time before or after a cruise!! The bartender, Stephanie, mixes great cocktails with a bit of humor!! Highly recommend!!!

So you are out shopping in a very busy mall and all the sudden you get the urge to take a break. Unlike children they usually don't have set aside areas to accommodate such a task for an adult. However, this mall seems to have created an adult playground.It's actually quite the smart use of space here. This is located under where the escalators are, most times that is just dead space or a place to put a bench. Not here, they utilized it in a smart way. Kind of like an oasis for people who just don't want to shop anymore.It's a U shaped bar that is kind of fenced in with some small tables. It's a simple list of libations, but will have something to tickle your fancy. Service was amazing and our bartender was a great conversationalist.

I came to the River Bar, during a break from a conference in early October 2019, and when I tell you I had a great experience, I really had a great experience!I had a margarita, and being from California, I am a little bit of a margarita snob. The drink was tasty and *on hit*, lol! I wasn't intoxicated, but lets just say I am so grateful the convention center was adjacent to the mall that houses the River Bar, and most importantly, walking distance, if you get my drift lol.My service, server and drink were excellent and next time I am in New Orleans, come heck or high water, I will definitely stop by to recreate my excellent experience.In the words of my former governor - "I'll be back!"

After a long night ended up at this bar. Daryl the bartender was really nice and attentive.He made us some great drinks and told us about some great places we should visit while in NOLAI hope next time I'm in town he's still there. Thank you for the great service!

Stopped in while on vacation for a cold beer. The place was packed but the bartender was kicking ass. Great service and good beer.

Incredibly poor service. First I waited almost ten minutes for her to come back from her break or whatever. Then she immediately yelled at my wife for spilling some powdered sugar on the bar and stormed off. We cleaned up after ourselves and left without ordering. People like that shouldn't be in the service industry. I wish I could give a zero.

Excellent service and Chris was great. Wonderful service and cleanliness. Polite and joyful experience. Great atmosphere and all around great time.

We were there for a convention and walking back to our hotel at the Hilton Riverside. At first we came to Fat Tuesdays but they didn't have the options we were looking for so we went in search of the River Bar. I believe our bartender's name was Jarnell. He was absolutely amazing! My boyfriend and I enjoy a good Old Fashion. I was trying to decide between that and a Hurricane (when in Rome) so he offered me a taste. After I tasted it, I asked him what he thought I would choose and he was right! Hands down Old Fashion. While I was deciding, he had already made my boyfriend's drink. It was superb. He went the extra mile and even provided some extra simple syrup in case needed but it was perfect! We had it made with Buffalo Trace and I immediately said I wanted one just like it! Good bartenders are hard to find because they not only mix drinks. They cater to their bar whether it's listening, providing information, or even just getting 2 strangers to talk. He anticipated our every need. We fully intended on going back the next day when he opened for a Bloody Mary but in our time crunch, we did not have the time. Praises to Jarnell!!!!
