Rio Cantina Mexican Grill

I've been to this location a few times thinking it can't be all that bad every time. My wife ordered a drink and it was brought to the table and had a bug in the drink. We notified the waiter and he brought a new one after apologizing. I ordered a plate with no beans on the plate and extra rice. Well food came out with beans on the plate. I would have assumed at least no charge for the drink but that wasn't the case. Full price for all the items. I will not return there nor will I tell people to partake in a meal at this disgusting establishment.

We did have a large crowd outside, maybe about 38 people.I feel like our server got thrown under the bus.It was probably an hour before we got napkins or utensils, or even all tables to get chips and salsa. Took probably another half hour or plus to pay once done.Never was asked for refills on water and such or even menus given to most people anyone until after we had finished a margarita.Our server was super friendly and was serving people as fast as she could. There were at least 3 other servers (playing on their phones. When I'm at work, I always help out my coworkers if they need a little extra help with challenges.It felt like only the bartender and our server was busting their butts.Also, cheese enchiladas were lack luster. Cheese was very thick, and I've had a lot better.On the other hand the pineapple margaritas were delicious. Bill wasn't exactly right with the type of enchilada, but for a couple dollars whatever. She had an incredible amount of work to handle by herself.

I got food delivered from here and I'm so glad I did. I would have never thought about crossing the river for dinner so I'm glad my app showed it to me. They had an amazing deal going on so I got a ton of food and it cost me very little. The food was GOOD and the portions were generous. The only thing I didn't love was my side tamale (dry.) My combination fajitas were so delicious; all the meat and shrimp had a real grill flavor and good seasoning. They put in plenty of tortillas and chips and even gave me a large container of delicious salsa on the side. The guac was tasty too!

This place is open as of 10/17/20.Went here with a group. Service was great! I enjoyed the salsa and black bean dip. This is the first Mexican restaurant I've been to that offers complimentary bean dip. The chips were ok, I prefer thinner chips. The salsa and black bean dip were good.The veggie fajitas were ok. The veggies were not seasoned but I appreciate that they offered a variety of vegetables and had a vegan friendly bean option. The refried beans are vegan friendly, but not the bean charro soup.The food was filling, the music was nice and the restroom was clean. They also offer paper menus which is nice. They have drink specials but not on Saturdays.Although, my meal was just okay, I would recommend for others as all the other members of my party thoroughly enjoyed their meals. Everyone ordered fajitas: shrimp or beef/steak.

Was seated right away And that's always a nice thing. We had a great waiter another good thing. We started with complimentary salsa & bean dip with chips then we ordered cheese & jalapeño nachos then I ordered the cheese & onion enchilada plate with rice & beans my daughter ordered the flauta plate it had all kinds of things to dip them in. We both enjoyed our meals and we will both be back.

I'm not big on Mexican food so I never really visit Mexican food restaurants. I did however have a taste for some queso dip. We visited on a Saturday evening around 6:30. The parking lot was pretty full and there were a few tables occupied on the patio. The inside had a decent amount of guests. We were immediately seated for a party of 2. We were given complimentary chips, salsa dip, and bean dip. This was okay but don't really eat salsa so I'm not the best judge. We didn't try the bean dip at all. I ordered the seafood Queso, it came out warm. It had shrimp and crawfish. I didn't care for the shrimp but the crawfish were good. It didn't come with separate chips so I just used the ones left that came with the salsa. My daughter got the brisket tacos. It didn't look like anything I would enjoy but she said it was pretty good. While sitting the table next to me got fajita steak with onions and shrimp. It was brought out sizzling. If I go back I would try that.

Me and my bestfriend got chicken tacos last night right before they closed, we both woke up throwing up. I've been feeling nauseas and vomiting all day. NEVER AGAIN. The food was actually good, so I really hate that it made us both sick.

Ordered to go was ready a little after I got there ! Service was always ready ! Food was bagged up real nice everything was good ! Reasonable priced friendly staff ! Enjoyed the service and the food !

We've enjoyed the food and drinks a long with the atmosphere and friendly service. Been there several times in the past few months that they have been open.
