ambience and the service was superb but the kitchen was an abomination..The sea scallops were very salty and fishy so we couldn't even finish em.The crawfish beignets were even saltier!! lmaoOrdered Lamb chops Medium but came out raw and when we sent it back, they simply heated it up instead of cooking a fresh rack.. lol (Cardinal Sin for fine dining establishment)We ordered 9 different dishes and the best thing was their biscuits. There are so many amazing restaurants in the French Quarter so it blows my mind that this place is still in business.Without a doubt our worst meal in NOLA this week. I would rate this place a one star but they get an extra star for their amazing servers.

Deshawn, Tina and Hannah - dynamic trio!Amazing service from them on Friday night. First time dining here and they made it perfect for us. Unassuming place as there's one small door into the check in desk and bar area. But your dining room is thru another set of doors and it's a pretty big place. Restaurant is nice and clean. Bathroom is quite clean as well. Love that they have a few booths only for those celebrating a special occasion. Presentation on the food, on point. Each dish comes out so pretty, color and smell. Food was good overall. Nothing stood out but it was all good. We ordered a variety and all were good and enjoyable. Would recommend.

This place is definitely all about the experience. Came for a combo birthday & anniversary dinner so wanted to do something special and this place delivered. We ordered a cocktail each followed by a bottle of wine. They had a lot of wine options but they did at least have ones within a decent price range. Cocktails were also super good. Liked that they brought out a little small bite appetizer and dessert for patrons even though we did also order one of each ourselves. For mains we got the rack of elk and the veal. Neither of us loved them but they were ok. Sides, appetizer and desserts were great! The "apple pie" dessert had an amazing presentation served in a candy shell in the shape of an apple. Would definitely recommend this place to others looking for a really nice dinner. Great service as well!!

Perhaps I missed the memo, but, I was actually pretty disappointed with my experience at the restaurant. The best thing in my opinion is the decor. The space gets 5 stars for the high fashioned, elegant, and "cool" space. It's totally somewhere you can imagine Marie Antoinette and Louis XIV would want to dine. I'll give the service 4 stars. There wasn't anything particularly wrong with it, but, I would say it just felt like our two servers were "doing their job." There wasn't any sort of umpf.I was most disappointed with the food, however. It's not that it was bad, per-se, I just don't think the menu does a very good job at describing what you will receive when you order. I find their artistic take on particular dish to be somewhat misleading. The caviar service was disappointing for starters. While it's "cute" that it's presented in oyster shells over dry ice for a smoky effect, it really wasn't very enjoyable. It wound up being more like a sampler of various fish eggs. While you can select a grade and type of caviar your choice is just a part of the sampler service. We didn't order the "sampler." I've never experienced that before so for the "cost" you're only getting a few grams of the roe. One would expect 30-50g of caviar at a particular price point. Not in a million years would I spend $140 for salmon or trout roe. Imagine ordering a bottle of Bollinger and when it arrives they bring 4 flutes and pour a splash of Bollinger in one and then give you a splash of prosecco, Korbel, and Cooks in the other 3??? It was totally misleading. Additionally, I think the restaurant needs to explore finding an appropriate recipe for blini. Blini should be light and fluffy so as not to compete with the caviar. Ours were very battery and thick/heavy. Of course creme fraiche was expected but the additional accoutrement that traditionally come with a caviar service were lacking. Finely diced shallot is preferred over chopped red onion, which is just a little too harsh. Consider finely chopped chives as well???The "death by Gumbo" was super rich and requires a fork and knife to consume (which I have never had to use a fork and knife to eat soup ever in my life). It was good flavor and I enjoyed it, but, very avante garde.Lastly, I was super disappointed with the "Cassoulet." I love this traditional hearty winter stew. What was provided had nothing one would expect in a traditional cassoulet except duck. It was good but really just consisted of a duck confit over some sort of vegetable puree. Perhaps a different label for the dish would be more appropriate or management can spend more time explaining the menu/concept to diners to avoid any surprise. To give the restaurant credit for an attempt at A+ service was bringing unordered scallops to the table for one of our party to try after she had inquired about them while placing her order. Although it was a nice gesture it was a little awkward to just bring out two plain and dry seared scallops? I'm sure that's not how the dish is ultimately served, so if their intent was to give her a taste of the actual dish it just fell a little bit flat (don't we all know what seared scallops taste like?).I suppose I would try it again if invited, but, was a little disappointed with how it all played out.

OMG WOW!!! 100000%Looking for a great food experience that is in the French Quarter, and not too touristy or overpriced Restaurant Revolution is amazing!!!! I think this was by far my favorite meal that we had visiting New Orleans. The restaurant is set in the heart of the French quarter but you would have no idea walking in with a nice amazing place it is. It is not a tourist trap. The Bar area is a great spot to get drinks before dinner or just pop in and have a casual drink. There is a nice craft cocktails list..The restaurant is 100% first class. From the way, the staff treats you to the fun funky music they are playing. Every course was just as great as the one prior, leaving me, want to come back forget another dinner. Chef John deserves a STAR for his creations. If you're looking for a special occasion place, I would highly recommend in going here versus any other place in the area (100% beats Commanders Palace any day of the week).

SO and I had dinner here on NYE, our last night in NOLA. This is a classy establishment with a dress code, located right off of Bourbon St. Everything we ordered was amazing: blue crab beignets; seared scallops; lobster ravioli; crab claw risotto; and satsuma panna cotta. Additionally, the wait staff was prompt and professional. You definitely will be treated well here!

Restaurant revolution is a bit overrated in my experience. Most of the foods were bit too oily and caused stomach discomfort for the party. The crab beignets were too greasy and paltry amount of crab. The only redeeming plate here was the rack of elk but even then it was bit too rare for my liking.,
