Red Lantern

Great little shop with lots of fun casual wear, tshirts, dresses, and accessories for men and women.I'm not sure I would have stopped if my partner hadn't pointed out the little doorway with the red painted wall inside. Walking through the plastic air curtain opened up to a shop that held so many fun patterns and a wide variety of colors! I hesitate to use the term "boutique" because Red Lantern seems more casual than that implies. There's no pretension, but plenty of whimsy. Service is equally relaxed but helpful. You won't feel pressured.Pricing isn't cheap, but it isn't outrageous either. The shirts I bought were reasonable, especially since I can't find the patterns anywhere else. My partner also found an amazing dress that I'm certain she'll enjoy for years to come. Red Lantern really seems like a hidden gem on Royal!

I love the Red Lantern on Royal!!!! Such a cool spot for gifts for other people and for yourself!! We always stop in to see what new cool pattern dresses and hilarious cool socks they have! Affordable and the quality of their clothing and all their merch is top notch! My dad bought my sister this carrot dress, and since we all share clothes a lot, I got to wear it today! I got so many compliments, people loved it! I highly recommend checking it out!!! I'm wearing a small and could probably stand to go for a medium if I'm being honest. 10/10 love Red Lantern!!

My favorite shop in the French Quarter. Do yourself a favor and stop in to meet the coolest owners. Buy an awesome t-shirt, jewelry or a dress or shirt. All reasonably priced and fashionable and not found anywhere else.

First off, Michael was fantastic and so kind. My husband just got back from deployment and Michael also served in the army. We had great conversation. I bought a super cute tote and glasses! Super unique items that aren't your average touristy shop. A MUST STOP if you're in the area. You won't regret it.

This place has really unique and sweet threads. I wanted to buy a dozen items. The owner leads with his heart and vibrant personality. If yr gonna actually shop in the quarter, start and end here.
