Clock from the 80's but 1950's written on the label Proof: snap on didn't have swivel head ratchets in the 50's which are under the tree.
Re-production price for the same door knocker.
Sue Saucier said she would not prove the door knocker was from 1900 and would not give me back my down payment of $150.

Sue Saucier (owner) is dishonest and is not an antique dealer by any means, Don't buy anything in this store! Sue Saucier sold me a re-production and told me it was an original piece. This is fraud, unethical and devalues antique dealers who are actually selling authentic pieces. I bought a door knocker that was priced at $350 from Sue Saucier and was marked on the price tag as a "Devil Knocker" from the year 1900. It was not called a "Devil Knocker," but called, "King of the Fairies" or "The Green Man" and is a re-Production from 2019, priced for $87.46 on several websites. Before I knew I was being lied to, Sue Saucier said if I put down 10% cash for layaway, she would waive the tax. Sue Saucier said the Devil knocker was from a mansion in Georgia and it was hanging on the front door. I came back the next day and put down cash. Sue Saucier lied by charging me tax and saying I had to put down 25%. Still wanting the door knocker, I went ahead and did it without pointing out what her own original deal was before she got greedy and changed it. At that point I asked again where it came from and she said Mississippi. WTF? A few days after that, I was feeling uncomfortable and went back in to take another look at the piece. I asked again where it came from and she said she couldn't indulge that information. Now really WTF? What antique dealer doesn't want to educate their clientele? Upon looking at the piece closer, it looked like an aluminum screw inside the handle that had an opening. Obviously not original to the piece. I started to do research to see I could find an original online to compare. The only ones coming up were all re-productions of the same exact piece! Sue Saucier told me it was an original piece because it was cast iron, BUT SO ARE ALL THE RE-PRODUCTIONS! Through this whole process of me going into the store and asking more questions, Sue Saucier has been telling me that she wants to make sure I am happy and feel comfortable with this purchase. I clearly have not felt comfortable about any of it, but tried to give her and her store, Rare Finds, the benefit of the doubt. This is bad customer service to give a customer this assurance and than lie about that too. Sue Saucier called me today for more money for the layaway payment, and I told her what I discovered. She said she won't give me back my $150 and she is not going to produce anything proving that it's an antique. This is fraud and completely dishonest. I don't have my re-production or my $150! So that makes Sue Saucier a thief too. I will be pressing charges, posting on all social media and telling everyone i know what happened. I had a witness each time I went into the store that couldn't figure out why Sue Saucier kept changing her story about where the piece came from and felt she was lying as well. I just wanted my $150 back. Was it really worth the bad press Sue Saucier?

The store owner blatantly lied to both the BBB and to my credit card company. She said that I was told the stone was simply sapphire in color not actually a sapphire.Luckily my credit card company ended up believing me in the end and refunding my money but clearly this store is a terrible place and I don't know how Sue Saucier the owner sleeps at night.

I love this store! So many treasures in a small space. You do you have to move carefully, there are a lot of breakables and everything is close together. Sue, the owner, was welcoming and helpful.

Beware of fakes. I recently bought an "antique" brothel coin from Rare Finds. I asked the owner point-blank if the coin was original and she said, "Yes." She also told me that original brothel licenses were extremely expensive. However, this supposedly original brothel coin was only $35. I asked why an original coin wasn't equally pricey. She said "because they didn't make as many," which made no sense. I rephrased the question, and she had no explanation for the pricing. Upon further research, this particular coin has shown up as nothing more than a gag gift reproduction on multiple sites, including Etsy. I'm not able to find a single original version of this coin anywhere. Either the owner has no idea what she's selling, or she flat-out lied. To make matters worse, her shop has a section full of racist figurines and other items. There were other problematic items in the shop. A quick google search shows this owner has a history of stocking offensive items. Steer clear of this place.

I bought a zigzag sterling silver ring with sapphires. Later on the next day I realize two sapphires were missing one on each side in the same spot. I paid 150 dollars plus tax for this ring, only to find out later that it was a reproduction and you can buy them all day long on Ebay or Amazon for 29.00 to 39.00 dollars. All I can say is that I trusted blindly what the lady was telling me about the ring. That is my fault. But I will say this, Karma is 3 fold darling so keep doing what you are doing because in the end you will be the one to pay.

If i could do no stars i would. I went in looking for a gift for my boyfriend. I told the owner that i needed something genuine as he and i are both history nerd. She showed me a few things and i had chosen a bottle opener til she led me to the prostitution licenses and stupidly, caught up in the city, i got one without taking the time to really examine it. I accidentally cracked the frame on my way home and when i reframed it i realized that there was no way it was real. I chose not to dwell on it and just let the ring i had placed on layaway go until she called me today. When she texted after that i responded and told her i was no longer interested and the reason why. This woman said "originals of those cost hundreds and have nothing to do with the ring." Absolutely rude and everyone else isnt kidding, im ashamed to admit that i missed the confederate display by the door til i was leaving. Never go here.
