I have visited this location numerous of times. It's not that far from my house. I saw on the menu they sell part wings. However everytime i go the "truck" has not came yet. So Saturday I called before I went there and was told they finally had them. Only to be disappointed when I got there. They only had whole wings. So I settled for the whole wings. They were good, had great flavor. I was told that half of what's advertised on the menu they don't have in the store. The gentle that was cooking the food was great and had a wonderful attitude. As well as the new owners, who apploiges for my inconventice.

Every time I'm in the neighborhood I stop off at Dolly's for breakfast(all day). It's a no-food-filler good ole traditional breakfast. The 3-egg platter with smoke sausage, grits/hasbrowns, toast is just $10. If you're looking for lunch they have burgers and po-boys. The shrimp are a nice size, no miniatures. Their is no combo with a drink that I could see so you grab a drink from the coolers(colas to beer). #FirstWorldProblems

Dolly's looks shady as all get out. I was a little nervous walking in here thinking I was going to shanked, or even worse, my poboy wasn't going to be good. Thankfully neither of those things happened so I'm passing along my recommendation to you fine people.I waked in a ordered a shrimp poboy on a bun. I had a seat in the dining room and the cook called my up when it was ready. The shrimp were great and there were plenty of them. No complaints there. The tv was on Fox News and it was wayyyy too loud and that was pretty annoying, however. When you're done eating you take your ticket up to the cashier and pay. Simple, nothing fancy about it at all and I'm fine with that.I'd return here for sure if I'm in the area. I'd love to try their breakfast next time.

Dolly's has the best non-standard roast beef po-boy I've ever had.So what do I mean when I say non-standard? Am I some sort of roast beef snob? If you keep reading, I'll tell you. For me, a roast beef po-boy should have homemade roast beef, gravy and Leidenheimer type French Bread. Many small grocery stores and delis use a much softer loaf of bread and use boring sliced roast beef and canned gravy. Well I am here to tell you ladies and gentlemen that Dolly's version is pretty damn good. Sure it uses plain ole sliced roast beef and thin gravy, but for some reason it works. It's by far the best gas station sandwich I've ever had. That's right, this is also a gas station. In fact, the whole layout is a bit odd. The entrance from the parking lot leads to the food counter where you order. Next to the counter are a few rows of chips and a wall of drink coolers. I did like the drink coolers since it offered way more choices than most restaurants. The even had smart water. The dining area was very smokey and the TV was way too loud. I probably wouldn't have minded, but it was tuned to some NBA show and one of the host had a mind grating voice. Service was prompt and very friendly. Despite this being my first trip, I was greeted warmly by both the cooks and cashiers. It was really a good group. If you're in Lakeview and want a quick sandwich, check out Dolly's. I think you'll be glad you did.

What a sight for sore eyes; especially since I was riding on E (E for excitement)... more like fumes. I remember back in the day, aging myself, lol, this place used to serve really good quick hot food. Although, for the time that I'm speaking of, 15 years ago, I don't recall it being named Dolly's Deli, but i digress... On this day of my visit, I only purchased gas at the pump. The pump was antiquated, but all i really cared about was the gas inside and my ability to keep driving on this beautiful Saturday afternoon; shallow huh? But anyway, where was I, oh yeah the antiquation of the pump, yeah, it wasn't on the best side of the aesthetically pleasing, but it was modern as it accepted that insertion of the credit card for payment of gas. All in all, Dolly's Deli (although I didn't do any "deli-ing" on the day in question) was there when I needed it... phew, LIFE SAVER!!!!!!

Terrible Customer Service.6/29 Cook, Cashier, & the Owner yelled profanities & told me to never come back all because I asked why I was being charged a different price from the previous day, when my order remained the same. Do Not Eat, Drink, or Refuel at this Place

Look, I know that this is just a gas station, and I know that they serve the food on Styrofoam plates, and I know that sometimes there may be a gentleman in the dining room drinking a King Kobra at 7:00 am and angrily watching Fox News but the grits are amazing and the counter person is extremely friendly. Dolly's typically caters to working class people who stop in to get one of their excellent egg and cheese biscuits on their way to work and among those people, this place is highly regarded. Think of it as a Commander's Palace for the tradesman on the go. For what it is, it's as good as it gets.

This has absolutely nothing to do with the food side, just the gas station side of things. I only go here if I'm on fumes. If it's a busy gas day, it's like a jigsaw puzzle maneuvering to a pump, and then it's not the easiest to read the gauge. In terms of the interior, there isn't too much going on in the way of other convenience stores, and it smells smoky, though I thought you couldn't smoke where food was being served (in the deli area) in New Orleans? They don't carry Pepsi products, and if you're running in for milk, it's a pint of Brown's Dairy that'll have to hold you over. This all being said, the staff that's working the counter is always really really nice in there so if you like Coke, smokes, and don't mind a little maneuvering, then Dolly's Deli's gas station ain't so bad!

I live about a ten minute walk from here. I purchase my cigarettes and often order food from the deli. The food is always hot and of good quality, the store is always clean, and the staff is always kind and willing to chat. Shout out to Jules, Keisha, Jen and Ashley, y'all are so sweet. Southern hospitality at its finest.
