Had a fantastic experience at this location a few weeks ago. The gentleman behind the counter was both friendly and knowledgeable. He took plenty of time to just chat with us and others who popped in for this or that and constantly had a smile on his face. I've been to plenty of head shops where the employees are just okay. I can't speak to the others working at this location but the fellow we had the pleasure of purchasing from was a class act through and through and made sure I'll be back to the Magazine location.

Love this place. I'm a fan of their incense selection and I just discovered that they also have shisha for your hookah (well, of course they do). Their prices are surprisingly respectable for being right on Magazine Street. Only 3.99 for basic al fakher shisha and 99 cents for each of the incense packs pictured. They also sell flavored pipe tobacco and it looked so appealing, I wished pipes were my thing. Maybe I should get one, eh?

BUYER BEWARE. Do not shop here. They use dishonesty as a sales mechanism. I went in on Monday for a specific battery. After a consultation with 2 employees (1 associate, 1 keyholder), they suggested a different battery from the same brand. I purchased it on their suggestion, and the key holder saying that if it doesn't work out, I can return it, with receipt, within 5 days. It didn't work out. I returned 3 days later, with receipt in hand, for another keyholder and associate to deny my return. The keyholder said, "Sorry I can't do that, I don't have the authority," then offered to call his store manager. Over the phone the manager also denied my return and blamed me for potentially writing up the initial associate and keyholder because the wrong information was shared with me... the customer. After calling him out on this, we agreed that we could exchange the item for a gift card. Because our schedules are not compatible within the 5-day policy, THE MANAGER told me to leave the receipt behind, taking the battery with me. He would then process the exchange, and when I returned the next day, I could give the battery for the gift card. Imagine my surprise when I returned to have another associate and the initial keyholder saying there was no gift card and calling the manager again. On said call the manager tells me, he changed his mind. The only way to get the gift card is if he tested the battery himself. Which made zero sense, because we were never available during the same time. It's the whole reason why I was promised what I was promised over the phone. AND THEY "LOST" THE RECEIPT. This is the 2nd egregious time I'm told one thing, to then deny it and say something completely different the next day. From beginning to end it's been less than a week, and I refuse to spend any more time or money on this company past this post. So now I have a new battery (that doesn't work for me) to use... as a paperweight. The lack of integrity, honesty, and competent leadership is truly baffling. I don't write reviews (it's a waste of time in my opinion), let alone bad ones. But I MADE TIME to write this. All over a $16 product.

Great service! Dank selection of pipes bongs and grinders among other smoker favorites. Dude knew exactly what I had in mind for a quick one hitter while out on the town. I recommend the RA shop to everyone in NOLA

This used to be my go to place. Friendly staff, especially the manager, who always came out from back office. I visited on Monday June 25 and was happy to see a sign on the door requiring masks. Very disappointed to find a customer without a mask and the employee behind the counter not wearing his....while waiting on a customer. He pulled it up as I was not going to engage without it. But pulling it up and down defeats the purpose. Have some consideration for older people. You are risking people's lives. Don't put up signs if they are window dressing. Do the right thing!
