Solid boiled seafood spot. Not first choice in Acadiana but ok for a quick business lunch if ok with oil field workers and truck drivers - which I am but wouldn't take client here to make an impression.

This place is known for its boiled seafood and it definitely has stood the test of time because I used to come here with my parents when I was growing up in New Iberia. On my most recent visit here, a neighboring table had a plate of onion rings brought out. I love onion rings but they have to be cooked a certain way...I don't care for a thick beer batter, or those double battered onion rings and I prefer them on the thin side. I knew by looking at my neighbor's order I had to have my own because they looked heavenly. I was not disappointed. they were delicious and cooked perfectly. I'm always happy when I find a restaurant that does onion rings like this so yay for that! Service is sometimes slow because this place is always packed but it's always good and consistent.

I got me some boiled shrimp, and a couple crab cakes and stuffed crab. They don't bring you pounds and pounds of shrimp. But they bring you out some huge shrimp. Not just huge because they still have the heads on, but these are still some big shrimp. They didn't have just a lot of seasoning in the boil, but just enough for flavor. I like the taste of shrimp by itself enough that the lack of spice didn't bother me much. The crab cakes were hot, and tasted great. The stuffed crab was just ok. Was kinda bland. Service was great.

Hazel's onion rings are the best I've ever had! The boiled shrimp are pretty good, too. Our server, S., was really friendly, and genuinely interested in knowing that we enjoyed our meal.

Went there for my wife's birthday and had a large group. Service was excellent and food was too!

Definitely a great place. The service is amazing. very kind! The food isn't too pricey, you get what you pay for. would definitely recommend!

Was charged $80 for bland ,semi full medium crabs, was told this was market value , but after checking around , we found several places , that was only charging $30-$40, a dozen, service was good, other food ordered was also bland , ...do not recommend

We had Boiled Crabs and Boiled Crawfish tonight. Best I've ever had. Great friendly atmosphere.

Not even worth one dam star! Well at least not tonight! I went one other time and it was good but we had a party of 10 and when I tell you we had horrible service our waitress would disappear and while I understand it was real busy but even when they had hardly anyone in there because we were one of the 2 last group there she STILL wasn't around and we had to ask another waitress to refill our drink etc. Most of the food was ok while out of 5 lbs of crawfish I had at least 10-20 crawfish ice cold like straight out the fridge cold! My friend had ordered 3lbs of crawfish and 1 lb of shrimp and when she got her crawfish the lady said sorry we ran out of crawfish we only could give you 1 lb with the 1 lb of shrimp. Now why couldn't they have told her this before serving the food. ALL her crawfish she did have was cold and her shrimp was so hard to peel when u got the shell off it just broke apart like they overcooked them! All she ate was her appetizer which was onions and that was good! And she refused to pay for what she didn't eat! Waitress agreed and said I totally understand and will change the bill. Well she went to the bath and seen someone she knew and told her friend everything that happened and this random man butted in her convo saying the shrimp is always hard to peel we cant do nothing about that and then laughed in her face about it! Well 30 mins later her again with another friend went to the bathroom and when they came out the owners friend said very loudly how u not going to pay for your food but you ate it so she said I didn't eat none of it but the appetizer thank u and the owner was giggling and hyping the friend up... well he is the Youngest owner I may not know his name but when I tell you that was so unprofessional and childish of the so called owner they have lost my business and well as our 10 people plus the table of 10 next to us as well!

Best boiled crabs I've had in a long time. Well seasoned and full.GREATEST fried pickles.Would've been 5 star if they had coffee and if the chocolate cake would have been served warm.
