Stayed here with some friends who had stayed here before some years ango and recommended it. The good: Inside of the house is really nicely decorated. The Innkeeper Kara was nice and gave us a lot of information about the what to do in the area and the house and the owners who restored it. Gave us coupons for complimentary drinks to visit a live music bar the company also owns up the street which was nice. And coupons again for a cafe. The weird:But then Kara delved into how she started working there after her divorce, her adoption, her kids, the dog and a lot of personal details about her life which started to get a little uncomfortable and long winded as we spent the whole day traveling and wanted to just freshen up and rest a bit before we explored the area. Maybe it was just nerves because things were breaking and she smoked a lot in the courtyard making phone calls and that smoke would waft into our room if we opened the door and she was out there. The outside of the house is covered in a large blue tarp on one side, so if you are in a room on that wall, your room will be very dark during the day and you can't open the windows. The Ugly:Rat traps in the kitchen and pantry area where people eat which didn't make our group want to spend too much time in there or eat the breakfast they offer on certain days. The hot water went out downstairs when it rained really hard and we had shower in unoccupied rooms upstairs which was also not ideal.Could have been a bit cheaper on the nightly rate since we had those inconveniences

I am SO thankful I found the R&B Bed and Breakfast because now I will never consider staying anywhere else in New Orleans! My partner and I came in for a wedding, and after a not-so-great stay in an Airbnb the last time we came to NOLA, we knew we wanted to stay somewhere local, and we hit the jackpot! This bed and breakfast could not be in a more prime location just steps away from incredible jazz clubs on Frenchmen and only a 10-15 minute walk from the French Quarter where it is then easy to catch the streetcars to go anywhere else you desire. The house itself is stunning and so peaceful, even off of a busy street. We stayed in the Reggae Room, which was beautifully decorated and so spacious! Breakfast was delicious every morning with a huge continental spread, as well as fresh, hot options cooked by Beth and Karen. We also appreciated the 24 hour snacks in the kitchen, and the free drink from Cafe Negril was a lovely perk. However, the absolute stand out of staying at R&B was getting to know Karen, the property manager. She went above and beyond in every single way during our stay, from providing recommendations to even lending us one of her personal bags to take out one evening. She is extremely kind, warm, and a lovely person to get to know. The highlight of our trip was getting to talk to her, and we left knowing we have a new friend in New Orleans! If you are looking for a beautiful place to stay in the heart of the city with charm, amazing amenities, and exception service, look no further than R&B Bed and Breakfast (and tell Karen we said hi!)!

THE BEST HIDDEN GEM IN NOLA! I don't even know where to start since I could talk about how amazing this place is for days. Every aspect of this home is beautiful, comfortable and welcoming. The beds are top notch so when you come in after a long day / night you are sure to get a good nights sleep even if it's only for a few hours. AND the rooms are themed so you feel like you're in a NOLA time capsule. The snacks provided in the breakfast nook are yummy and help fill you up for the day. Not to mention they make traveling with a large group so much easier because everyone can get up and make breakfast if they please without having to wait for everyone to wake up and be ready to go. However, the ABSOLUTE BEST PART about R&B is Emily !!!! She made our trip. We were a large group of 13 girls in town for a bachelorette during the height of Southern Decadence so you can imagine how crazy the city was. Emily helped us navigate the city with ease and made sure we hit all the hot spots before we left. Not to mention she helped us make the weekend one to remember for our bride, Christina. I cannot say enough amazing things bout Emily, but just know she is an absolute pleasure to be around. She is hospitable, kind, and so much fun. She embodies what NOLA is all about.I cannot say more amazing things about this place ! It is a MUST if you're traveling to NOLA.

Simply the best place to stay in town. We can't say enough about our stay here other than to highly recommend R&B especially because of its truly outstanding host, Emily. The Greek Revival style house is charming, tastefully decorated and comfortable. Each bedroom has a full en suite bathroom and large very comfortable beds. But, the best part of the stay? Emily! Beyond pleasant and friendly, Emily went out of her way to make us feel right at home like family and to experience NOLA, well... like a native. Both R&B and Emily are highly recommended.

I just spent a wonderful five nights at R&B B and B with a group of my dear friends. We rented the entire house and were treated to a most luxurious home with amazingly comfortable beds, linens, etc. Our host, Emily was so gracious, tremendously helpful, serving delicious breakfasts every day, and yummy late night snacks. This location is perfect to enjoy the French Quarter and surrounds. If you plan to visit New Orleans, you must stay here. It is southern hospitality at it's best.

We had such an amazing time and great experience at R&B Bed and Breakfast! My boyfriend and I stayed here towards the end of February. It was our first time in NOLA and Rita was such a great help! She explained everything thoroughly. She booked activities for us and gave us so many tips and recommendations. The bed and breakfast is decorated beautifully. Most importantly, it is SO clean, which is of huge importance to me. The room was spotless. Rita had water, coffee, and breakfast foods, such as pastries, yogurt, and cereal available every morning. The location of the bed and breakfast is ideal. It's right on Frenchmen Street, a block up from many bars that play live music every night. We loved Frenchman street and Royal Street, as well. We couldn't have found a better location! Overall, we had a wonderful experience at R&B, thanks to Rita. We can't wait to return!

This is an easy review. First, the location is fantastic, right on Frenchmen Street, and a block from the clubs so no loud music at 1am like some hotels on Frenchmen have. I'd confidently say that the location of R&B is the best in New Orleans. The room is very comfortable, and the house is beautiful. But, even more than this is the hostess, Karen. Such a wonderful lady, making everyone feel at home, and welcoming. Even if I didn't enjoy staying here (as much as I did), Karen alone added so much to our stay, that I'd stay here again.. The clubs on Frenchmen are not like those on Bourbon Street. If you like jazz, blues, and great music, this is the place. It also is a few blocks from the French Market streetcar, an easy means of transport all the way to Canal Street and Bourbon. There you can board another one to the Garden District or get off and walk on Bourbon when you want that. It's a great feeling to visit some great clubs mid-late evening and when done, have a short two block walk back. If you want to eat in the quarter, take the streetcar to the optimum location for your restaurant, and return the same way. R&B is priced very fairly, and we really enjoyed staying there! Highly recommended, and I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.

Our family spent Christmas week at this beautiful bed and breakfast and enjoyed it so much. Everyone kept saying how wonderful it is, how it is in the perfect place, how comfortable, how lovely. Every morning Ms. Judy made a sumptuous spread without using an oven . She laughed at what I thought a continental breakfast was, since she did so much more. Our charming innkeeper flew through on her many holiday errands ( Now I have to deliver a roast pig) and made us comfortable to raid the refrigerator or grab snacks when we liked. There was a lovely courtyard where we congregated-on beautiful days which was most of the time. And Frenchman Street music clubs were a block away. . Much cozier and healthier than a hotel . Totally disinfected between guests. Definitely the place to have a family reunion!
