This review is up. It's a go order I had using GrubHub at pyramids Cafe. I ordered the lamb plate with hummus and it came with a side salad and also A falafel sandwich. The server was friendly upon picking up my order which was ready on time and it was nice and hot and packed perfectly. The land played with hummus was delicious. The lamb was cooked perfectly in the pita bread and salad was the perfect mix also, the portion size was generous for being a plate under $20. The falafel sandwich was perfect. The pita bread was toasted just right and the Taziki sauce along with the lettuce and tomato was the perfect compliment for the falafel sandwich. I definitely would order here again to go and I wouldn't mind dining in. I see they also have hookah service available

Honestly it was kinda gross. I love middle eastern food but there are so many other options that are better in the same price range. I don't remember seeing a food safety rating but I can't fathom it's over a B

Pandemic update:Momma wanted a gyro plate for her birthday and when I was hunting around to order online, Pyramid popped up. And I'm so glad. She LOVED her gyro plate and said the lamb and beef were delicious. Dad had the chicken shwarma and gobbled it up. I got the veggie plate and my falafel and tabouleh were good and the hummus yummy. Mom was not a fan of the babaganous. The spinach pies were a star and 1 pie is 2 good sized triangles. Ordering was through the grubhub app and I opted to pick up on my way to their house. Everything was ready when I got there and they gave us beaucoup pita. Ridiculous historical note: when Mom asked where the restaraunt was I told her where Bud's Seafood used to be, next to Bud's Broiler on Calhoun. Bud's Seafood closed in the 1970s. But she knew exactly what I was talking about.

My sorority catered food from Pyramids Cafe, and I have to say that I was completely blown away. It was some of the best mediterranean food I've had in New Orleans. The falafel was pretty good, but the Chicken Kebab and Hummus were amazing. They take care in making sure that their food is just as good for takeout/delivery as it is to dine in.

This place used to be good and was a go to but not anymore. We got the Pyramids' Special for Two (appetizer sampler) and the Combination Kabab (3 meats). Of all this food, only the falafel was good. All the meat was bland and the portion size left a lot to be desired given the $20+ price. The hummus was sour, as in spoiled, the 'kibby' was a straight up empanada / meat pie, and the tabouli had barely any bulgur and was very coarsely chopped and very stemmy, like it was made with no care or flavor. It definitely was not 'finely chopped' as the menu states or how it's supposed to be. The kibby was such a joke, I wish I had a picture of it, but I've included a photo of exactly what it looked like. Did the former chef leave? I don't know. All I know is that we won't be back.

The food served to adults was great but my kid ordered the nuggets and they had to have been out. We were served a re-fried McDonalds happy meal (sans the toy) and rice for $8.99. I'm pretty sure the ketchup was also from Micky D's. Oh and moments after the plate was delivered, an employee sat down 2 tables away and pulled out his Big Mac! I give 3 stars because the food we had was great! However, I'd stick to food delivery since the inside needs some improvements.

No rice on the shawarma platters??? What? No feta cheese or dressing on the salad??? 3 pine nuts in the tea??? Doughy, under-cooked baklava? $50??? No thank you. I'll be taking my business elsewhere from now on.
