Pure Salon

My previously great experience at this salon was repeated when I returned last month. Amy actually remembered me from the last time (over 6 months earlier), and she did an awesome job again. At first, I thought her styling was a little over-done, but an hour later my hair settled into a great look. Her recommendation for keeping my bangs longer was right-on - after I washed my hair, it looked perfect.

Trying to find a good hairstylist is like trying to find a doctor...impossible!! We have moved a ridiculous amount of times due to job transfers, our latest being in Colorado. That being said I will travel to New Orleans to see Amy to get my hair cut. I've been on the receiving end of a bad haircut too many times and truly appreciate a good cut and color. Not only did I LOVE my cut and color from Amy but received amazing compliments. It's refreshing to have someone cut your hairAnd have a sincere opinion on what is best for you!!!

Got an amazing cut and color from Katie! It's such a cute, friendly place, and so so reasonably priced! They're all super nice! Katie totally fixed my color and gave me more dimension instead of looking like one big highlight, and she spent a lot of time cutting my hair to make sure I knew exactly how short I wanted it. She told me to give the new length a week's test run before taking anymore off, and I could come back in anytime after that if I thought I wanted it shorter--such a personalized and intimate experience; I love it!

You know that moment when you book an appointment because of Yelp and then realize the hair dresser your going to has 0 reviews? Well, then stay with me here for a moment. Ashley is fantastic. She's knowledgable about cuts and is conservative with her cutting for short hair. I am in the process of growing out a pixie which is awful, but Ashley reshaped my mom-bob into a trending angled cut. They are authentic and kind at this salon.Bonus: they close at 6, but stayed open late to get me in.Atmosphere: the atmosphere is in progress, so don't be surprised if it doesn't fit the cookie cutter salon environment.

What can you say about someone who helped you "find you"? Amy listened to me and gave me what I needed! Every time I look in the mirror I am happy, I LOVE my color!!! My teenage sons actually complimented me too and that's saying a LOT. Some people are just gifted with being able to do color and Amy is one of the gifted ones! Parking is a little hard, especially now that the students are back, so give yourself a few extra minutes.

Found this place off of yelp and so glad I did! Katie fixed my highlights and cut from a previous place! I loved her personality and skills so much I decided to use her for my wedding 2 weeks later instead of the people I'd originally booked! So not only is she great at color and cutting but also at updos. Everyone was so happy with their hair.

I've been going to Amy for about a year now, and she delivers every single time! I stumbled across Pure (now named Bryce Anderson Salon) while searching on Yelp and saw all the great reviews and decided to give it a try. I've received cuts, color, and the keratin treatment from Amy, and they've all been wonderful! She also does her best to accommodate you with her busy schedule. She definitely does the most for her clients. If you're in need of a new stylist, Amy won't disappoint!

I moved to New Orleans in August and have been trying to find a hair salon. I finally found it! I have super thick, wavy hair, and it is a beast to cut -- a bad hair cut is really noticeable. I saw Cheryl at Pure Salon and she did an amazing job! She really took the time to cut it right, and she even straightened it for me. The only downside is the price, but I think it was well worth it to get a really amazing haircut. Everyone at the salon was super nice. I definitely recommend it!

Listen people, I am possibly the worst hair salon client of all time. I'm overly picky, like to change my hair style and color every few weeks, and have completely inflated expectations of what sort of aesthetic transformation is possible in a given session. That said, Amy took my long, dark brown hair to a blonde bob with bangs in under two hours, and I came out looking (self-call alert) fantastic. Highly, highly recommended. OH, and bang trims are free, lest you be tempted to have at your new fringe with a pair of garden scissors.

I went to Pure Salon for the first time yesterday and Amy, the owner, gave me the best haircut I've ever had. Period.I view haircuts as an unavoidable nuisance because I don't like she-she settings where products and services are shamelessly peddled. (Have you tried our facials? Would you like to get your eyebrows waxed? My answers always are no and no.) Pure Salon is one large room that is industrial chic, functional, and extremely comfortable. A simple drop-cloth curtain separates the washing area. It is intimate, not intimidating.My hair is a challenge. It's super fine and sadly straight, but Amy managed to style a beautiful, carefree haircut. Since it was my first visit, we went through lots of pictures and she asked about my hair-keeping routine, or lack of. She began cutting only after she had a clear understanding of what I wanted as well as the amount of time I would spend on my hair.The axiom "You get what you pay for" is not always correct, especially in haircuts. Yes, cheap haircuts inevitably look cheap, but expensive ones can be costly disappointments. Amy's pricing is more than fair, especially when I consider the huge amount of time she spent on me. As she styled my hair, she explained what she was doing (since I obviously had no clue) and why. She also wanted feedback: Is this short enough? Would you like your bangs to slant more?Now for the color: When I ask for partial highlights, I stress the adjective. Amy listened and my highlights are subtle and wonderful.Parking is a problem in this mainly residential area, but don't let that deter you. Pure Salon is a hidden treasure.
