This review is based on my online shopping experience. I purchased two items and received the first piece on Monday. The packaging is simply adorable.This shop consists of a small team based in New Orleans so patience is key. That said, the overall process was seamless and I received timely updates once the first item shipped. The Hamsa flat back stud is super cute, and now I am eagerly waiting for the mini snake flat back stud to arrive.Overall solid experience - will definitely purchase again from PL.

Super excited turned to super disappointed as soon as I asked for help with an order for Christmas! Ordered online and had no idea that some earrings are now sold individually... ordered what I thought was a pair of Huggie earrings only to be super confused when I opened the box and 1 tiny earring came flying out. Originally I thought there were 2 so I spent quite a while looking for the other one I thought I lost. Checked the original order more carefully and realized they are sold individually! Great.... Another $200 for another tiny earring was more than I was looking to spend but, Ok...it's for my mom... so, I'll make sure she has a complete pair since she really liked it! I contacted the store thinking they would honor the same price I paid for the first one..... NOPE! It was a first time customer discount (OK, but I would've purchased 2 of them originally If I had known I was only buying 1- so maybe they can make an exception??? NOPE... their advice was to wait until there is another discount promo!? Really!??? So I gave my mom 1 earring by mistake and now I have to wait for another promo for who knows how long to get the same price (it's now $305 more I'd have to pay)... seems kinda unfair and not great customer service! They sent some Palo Santo for clearing energy... maybe they need it!? Super disappointed at the lack of customer service or care... save the Palo Santo.... Be more genuine...and actually care about your customers is my advice! The thing is... I really liked their items but won't dare buy another item from them out of principle! Do better Porter Lyons ... you just lost a customer!

Ring I bought online was *completely* different to the one I received, and arrived damaged. After begging to get customer service on social media (I guess the only way you get a response?), they finally answered with three terrible options, which I declined. I got over the fact that they falsely advertised, so my idea was for them to partially refund me, to cover the cost of getting the scratch fixed with my jeweler. They were totally allergic to this because I bought it on Cyber Monday, as if 1. that matters, and 2. as if this whole ordeal wasn't shockingly embarrassing for them.They have the audacity to end their emails with "love and light".Porter Lyons is a total joke And a scam So many amazing *actual* luxury jewelry brands out there--skip this scammy one--quality is mid, service is non-existent.

3rd time a diamond fell out due to a broken prong. first time wanted them to replace the ring and they wouldn't. Now Ijust go to local jewelers. For $1500 I would expect way better quality. So dissapointed. Buyer beware.

While wandering the French Quarter on a rainy Saturday, my girlfriend and I happened upon this wonderful jewelry store. The pieces were beautiful and unique. I wanted to buy everything but settled on getting my nose pierced with a small, gold stud. Isa was knowledgeable and helpful in choosing jewelry while Chris made the piercing process safe and easy. I have their card and have already visited their online shop. I'll be buying pieces from here for years to come.

How can you do business with this company when you follow their directions (send an email for a quote) and 9 days later .... crickets!!!! And the phone number listed everywhere is no longer in service. This was going to be my first order with Porter Lyons (and probably not my last) but if they are so busy that they cannot respond to an email in a timely fashion and have disconnected their phone, then they don't need my business. And I don't need their complete lack of customer service!!!

I wish I had read the reviews here before I purchased SIX (!!!) earrings from Porter Lyons. Their stuff isn't cheap but when you pay for jewelry at this price point, you expect to get high quality in return. Not an earring that falls out (and got lost) within the first couple days of wearing it! I should add it was a threaded flat back style, which in theory should be more secure given it requires you to screw the post into the backing for several turns. The only explanation I can think of is the earring might have been defective because I checked and tightened (if needed) the earrings every evening. However, their customer service team won't even consider the possibility it was defective and their only suggestion to me was to buy a new one. I don't know who can afford to spend that kind of money on a piece of jewelry that won't stay in for more than few days and then be told to buy a new one. Certainly not me! Despite the product flaw, I might have given them another chance if I had a better experience with their customer service team, but sadly they've lost me as a customer and I won't be purchasing any more items from Porter Lyons.

I love PL jewelry so I was excited to visit the storefront when I was in New Orleans last weekend with some girlfriends. Unfortunately, it was bad experience in the store. The employees were very cold and unfriendly, unhelpful and overall rude. Additionally, although beautiful, several of the PL bracelets I've purchased (from another retailer) have had issues with the clasps, where they fall off easily. Love the aesthetic, however poor quality and disappointing in-store customer service. Meh.
