This is the gas station I stop at before I drive home from work back to Baton Rouge. I was worried at first because it's usually at night and you never know what you're going to get when you go to a random gas station. Could be a bunch of ne'er-do-wells out there but five or six people asking you for cash. None of that here. Clean, reputable place and top-notch employees. Much friendlier that the gas stations in Baton Rouge. There's also plenty of convenient store items inside and looks like they may have food there during the daytime.Going to this gas station is a safe bet!

Stopped here to fill up and use the restroom. Well, the restrooms were ok, not the cleanest around, but it was suffice. Was going to purchase a drink and snack, but the line was so long, that I put my stuff down and walked out. Just your typical interstate gas station, nothing special.

I have been going here for their friend chicken. It's delicious! However over the years the chicken legs have gotten very small. They are one step above a drummette! Also there's an employee with rainbow extensions in her hair who is rude to customers. She is impolite and seems like she doesn't want to serve you.

Hmm, well, they charged me for a biscuit/chicken meal where I just had chicken, so there's that...just chicken. I asked the cashier, "was I suppose to get a biscuit and drink?". She said no that's just how it rings up. I understand that's what it said but my receipt still says otherwise. Good chicken, but I do feel a little cheated since my receipt for purchase didn't reflect what I received.

While traveling back to Texas with a group of friends the weekend of 9/9, we stopped at this location to fill up and grab quick bite to eat. I went in and bought about $30 in lotto tickets while my friend ordered his food and waited in the dining area. A few minutes later, he decided to go ahead and buy a few bottled sodas and pay for gas. Approaching the cashier, he requested a fill up on pump #2 in addition to the bottled sodas and chips he had at the counter. The cashier proceeded to swipe his card and turn the gas pump on. Since my friend's hot food was still not ready, he proceeded to come back to the car to pump the gas and drop off the items he purchased. He later went back in to get his ordered food, which was incorrect, but that's another story. We remained in the car for approximately 15-20 minutes eating before my boyfriend was approached by a worker asking if we paid for our gas. He said yes, and then got out to use the restroom. When he attempted to come back to the car, the cashier mentioned our gas was not paid for and we needed to pay. My boyfriend then went to get his friend to figure out the issue. Once both men were in the store discussing the mistake with cashiers Deshauna and Jinx, they were quickly accused of stealing. Deshauna even threated to call the police! (Mind you, we had been in the parking lot for about 30 minutes, the pump was turned on, and I had just purchased more in lotto tickets than my gas total. ) After further investigation, it was determined that the poorly trained cashier turned the pump on without imputing an amount and actually charging my friend. The accusations made were insulting and the fact that no one offered an apology is absolutely absurd! This location has some major improvements necessary in training and customer service. Based on this experience, I will NEVER visit Popingo's again!!! Great first impression....
