Dude. This was such a badass swamp tour. Our first swamp tour was canceled due to unforeseen circumstances so I made a quick call and found Captain Brent. He's spent years in this particular part of the bayou and majority of the alligators that swam up to us today he's been working with for years. (Hence the hand feeding.) He was so informative about the ecosystem and historical aspects of the bayou and where we were. He talked to us about the impact of Hurricane Katrina and informed us about different animals and marine life in the area. This was absolutely amazing and a perfect way to end our trip.

Our review is long overdue. Last October, Brent took my partner and I out on an adventure we will always remember. We had a blast touring around the bayou in his boat and finished with a delicious Louisiana feast of crab, shrimp, and vegetables. He worked our tour around the inclement weather brought on by Hurricane Zeta. Brent is the real deal, and a must-experience.

If you like being called "ma nigga" for three days and catch zero fish you came to the right place. Equipment looks like it was purchased at a swap meet. He does cook well though. Taste well, smells like Marijuana, and no diarrhea. +

I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS TOUR. We paid "Captain" Brent $700 for our tour of eight people then four weeks later my credit card (the one used to hold the reservation) was charged an additional $700. Brent pocketed the money and lied about not having received payment! I have been going back and forth with Pirate Venture and my credit card company to remove the charge to no avail. I DO NOT RECOMMEND PIRATE VENTURE TOURS. Karma will catch up with "Captain" Brent.

Incredible swamp tour owned and operated by local guides Brent and Marty. This is a small boat non tourist experience with lots of local knowledge and up close experiences with alligators! Be sure to arrange for pick up and drop off at local restaurant Boutte's. Great food and delicious soft shell crabs. If you want to experience the non New Orleans side of Louisiana this is it.

Love Love love this tour! Brent was very knowledgeable about the swamp, history and the animals that live there. Beautiful day to be out on the water as well. He even recommended a great local restaurant to eat at as well as a local Uber drive to get us back to our hotel. Would recommend this to anyone! Well worth the money for sure! Thanks so much!
