Pho House Water Street

The second to last time we went here, we knew something was different. The first thing I noticed was the Vietnamese po boy meat was fatty and not nearly as good as the ones I had previously. Second, the shrimp and avocado salad was was even worse It seemed that they didn't want to use the same dressing that they previously used and they didn't mix it right or serve enough. Fasr forward to our last time, and it was still the same. We could not figure out why it had changed so drastically. We just learned that it was under new ownership. It's quite obvious that this owner has no desire to live up to the previous owner's high standards. I went there a numberbof times under the previous owner, but I will not be returning under the new one.If the new owner reads this, I can assure you that if you think cutting corners is going to work, you're wrong. You won't last another six months.No offense to the server we had, he did what he could, but he needs a lot of training. Again, cutting corners.

I've dined in and taken out multiple times and have enjoyed my experience every time!I have only done apps and sushi but it has been amazing!

Had a great lunch here today:) The food was fresh and very flavorful. Our server Brittany was awesome. Will definitely be back!

We sailed over for an overnight trip and wanted to try something new. This place did not disappoint. The ambiance is very upscale and clean. The service was great (we had Blaise) and the food was phenomenal. I am super picky about food, and I've eaten at lots of authentic Vietnamese places. They also had really beautiful and fresh sushi which I was delighted to see when we arrived. I had the spicy lemongrass pho which the waiter recommended. It was extremely flavorful and a good level of spice. I like very spicy food and I almost didn't have to put any chili oil in it. I couldn't stop eating the broth even though I was full from eating seaweed salad, a whole sushi roll and all the goods out of the pho. The broth was amazing. If you're looking for a nice, affordable and pleasurable spot to eat in Madisonville, this is it!

We ordered the chicken pho, cucumber salad, pork spring rolls, and the pork rice noodle bowl. Everything was flavorful, and our food was ready quickly. We will definitely return, and it's a great new addition to Madisonville.

Excellent sushi on the river! Looking forward to being regulars at Pho House Water Street.

We had lunch there today and absolutely loved it. We ordered the snow crab salad and 4 sushi rolls (Sunrise, Sunset, Water Street, and Tataki) and scarfed down every bite. We will definitely be back. In addition to the great food and exceptional service, the atmosphere is just lovely. We ate outside and watched the pretty boats going up and down the Tchefuncte. Was a perfect lunch in beautiful Madisonville.

Had the combination bowl. Serving was big and flavors were nice. Also enjoyed the variety of chili spices/sauces. Quick service, staff was pleasant. Best Viet on the north shore

The reviews were not great but I did hear from friends we need to try this place so tonight was the night! The restaurant is small but was crowded. We had to wait just a few minutes for a table. Ordered a spicy Marguerita which was a special on their drink menu. It came in a warm large birdbath glass with no straw. You can get spicy margaritas at most places at this time so this one was just ehhhh. There were several menus to look at. There was one with Vietnamese food and 2 for sushi. We made our selections. Spring roll for appetizer and 3 rolls to share for entree. After about 40 minutes, no appetizer yet, we were told that the 3 rolls we selected were on a lunch menu and they do not do lunch menu rolls so we needed to make new selections. (The menu didn't say anything about lunch menu on it). I asked where the appetizer was since people that came in after us already received their entrees and was told it was coming. A little while later she came back for our new order. Still no appetizer. Another 10 min passed and my roll showed up. I asked what happened to the appetizer and she said that the appetizers come at different times than the sushi. Since it's cooked it takes longer. Another 10 min later and the appetizer showed up. (My husband thought he saw it go to another table that came in after us.). It was a spring roll with rice paper and shrimp on the inside. Nothing cooked. It was ordered over an hour before and came in after the sushi that was just ordered. Nothing made sense. Then our final roll strolled in. The summer roll was very good. My futomaki sushi roll was fine. My husband ordered some sort of sushi flight for $32. It was literally 5 pieces. He said it was fine but the 5 pieces was not any grander than my $18 5 piece roll. This was our first time and I think we had a new waitress that seemed to not know what she was doing. However, for the price of the food, I dont think it was worth the pain. Unfortunately Megumi blows this restaurant away in the sushi category. I'll have to come back another time with a different waitress and try the Vietnamese food for a different experience. This visit really did not impress me.

We ordered the pho the first time we went and it was delicious! The second time we went we got sushi which were so good! They were friendly and quick with our order! Great ambiance as well with outside seating by the water.
