This review needs eighty-five characters in order to be posted. Pete's Irish Channel Bar is a perfect bar. What an honor to be served a beverage at this place.

A cozy neighborhood bar with great drinks. It's worth a trip if only to see the bartender Heidi, she's truly a delight.

One of the greatest bars in New Orleans, it's been here for almost a 100 years (maybe more depending on who you talk to). A friendly neighborhood staple with local food pop ups most nights, they have a good all around selection and accommodating staff. Very affordable with an happy hour that runs from 5-7. There's a also a lovable bar cat that serves as the mascot, they even have T shirts with her on it! The perfect off the beaten path stop over, with an old school jukebox that sets the vibe and ambiance.

Another great local bar with a very eclectic bartender. They have a vegan food truck on weekends, which wasn't in our wheelhouse, so no comment on that.If your doing a non Quarter bar tour, this is a good stop.

Such a local gem. If you had a long day at work and need a delicious cocktail, Pete's is the spot! If you had a great day and need to celebrate - Pete's! New to the area and want to meet friendly locals - Pete's. Any mood, any hour, Pete's is the way go to. While they do not offer a full menu they usually have pop-ups almost everyday with fantastic eats. They'll always have their trusty Red Baron pizza that's cooked in a cute little pizza oven to give it a nice crisp. Make sure to ask about Foxy the bar cat and play a few songs on their juke box. Pete's takes you back in time and gives you a vintage feel. Sometimes you'll find the door open to allow a breeze to flow through the bar into the courtyard (make sure to hang in the courtyard). Other times you'll need to be buzzed in. Yes, buzzed in like the old speakeasy days. Fantastic little local bar.

We met Connie on our way to the Irish festival on St Patrick's day. We were in the Irish Channel area of New Orleans. She told us to come back when things got crazy at the festival. We were petty bored so we went back to Pete's and she was working. This is a Very Cool Bar! Laid back. Lots of locals. Nothing fancy. Just what I like. We had a couple of beers. Talked to Connie and some of the local patrons. It was getting really busy when we left. Alot of people were coming there when they left the St Patrick's festival. Felt really welcome here. Service was friendly and fast.

We were in town for Jazzfest and staying in the neighborhood. I stopped by twice and both times we were treated like locals. The bartenders Connie & Heidi were the nicest people and the neighborhood folks there could not have been more welcoming. My wife said she wished we had a place like Pete's in our hood.

Pete's is a fantastic neighborhood bar! Cozy on the inside with friendly regulars & bartenders. They even have a cute bar cat! Nice outdoor patio space where sometimes there are PopUps. Good selection of beers, and they have frozen drinks as well. If you're local or just visiting, this place is a perfect spot to relax & have a good time!

Best Bar in New OrleansThis is bold statement but I think if you truly love dive bars then you will understand my enthusiasm. A bar in a neighborhood, which is always a winner. On the corner of the street with a buzzer to allow you in. If you look sketchy, violent, or even too drunk they will not let you in. What a great group of friendly patrons, but our visit was made by the bartender Kevin. He's been tending to this place for decades and boy does he have some great stories. You may say to yourself, why would I trek to this small area while I'm in New Orleans? I say, if your going to visit a new city, you should explore areas and find spots that locals not tourists frequent. It's how you truly gauge the greatness of the area that your exploring. Pete's is a great bar and the people of New Orleans know it, so if I go back I'm making it a priority to visit. Thanks Kevin, your the man
