What dreams are made of! Whenever I need inspiration I head to Peony, one of the most charming clothing stores in New Orleans. It feels like being inside a magical snow globe. The tulle, beadwork, velvets, and silks are dizzying for the senses. Every display is imaginative and crafted with love. You can find many new independent female designers (Amur) as well as trusted classics (Diane Von Furstenberg and Jill Stuart). Their children's section is also my weakness! Every time we have a party or portrait made I make sure to stop here first!

The curation of items and clothing in the store is very well done. There are unique pieces, albeit pricey, complemented by everyday simple but chic items. I got distracted by a very cute Alpaca stuffed animal that I wish I could take home. Unfortunately, there would have been no room in my suitcase for it. Still, it's a worth a visit to get ideas for your next purchase or, if you have the money, splurge and treat yo self!

Peony is a beautiful store for women and children. The best part is that it actually smells like peonies when you enter. I only shopped the adult side, and it's pretty over-priced. I'm talking t-shirts for $100 and sweaters for $300 over-priced. Most of the accessories were very reasonably priced though. I bought a pretty scarf for only $20. Cute store to browse for inspiration regardless.

If u need to return or exchange anything they make it super difficult. Have young inexperienced girls working that are not friendly and don't seem to understand how to work their register. Thought it was a fluke the first 2 times I went to this story. Would expect better service or just maybe people that actually smile and greet you after a third time will not return. This is why people stop supporting local and shop online. At least u don't have to deal with people like this

This store is completely beautiful and well curated. I don't think I have seen a more lovely and unique collection of chic clothing anywhere, and I live in New York! The shop's staff members, one of whomI believe was the owner, were so helpful as I wandered around choosing options from their embarrassment of riches. They seemed truly invested in my experience at the shop. I could have shopped there for hours. Their prices are certainly not inexpensive but they were offering a significant sale when I visited, and the brands and items they offer are well made and unusual. Highly recommend a visit.

I'm so happy I was able to stop in this store. The owner was able to help me find the perfect gifts for my girls. Great place for baby gifts, fun ornaments and other holiday gifts. Will be back for more gifts!

I walked in here the other day and was greeted by the nastiest little woman who I guess owned the store. She was short, kind of heavy, her name was something silly like Cricket. She'll talk your head off, and yet somehow still ignore everything you're saying. She also is very snobby, and for seemingly no reason.I've worked in the fashion industry for about 15 years and let me tell you, buying anything from them is just legal highway robbery. The fabrics are cheap, yet marked as if they're high fashion. The store is also a huge disorganized mess. They try to make this mess look "artsy" but covering it in glitter, but honestly it barely works. The owners act so knowledgeable about everything but you can still tell they have a very sloppy business practice from the chaos that is their store layout to the fact that everything seems to be lost all the Time. It's no wonder they're so empty all the time (her words not mine).Don't give them your business. Not only is their store a mess but so are the owners.
