Oh boy, oh boy, oh boy...I have actually been auditioning quite a few Mexican restaurants in the Baton Rouge area, and stumbling upon this place was quite honestly one of the biggest disappointments in this little Mexican food journey of 2024-2025When I sat down, I noticed my feet immediately stuck to the floor, as if there had been a soft drink spilt from the night before that was not cleaned up... spoiler alert - - I spent most of the meal with my feet stuck to the ground and an awkward sort of push and pull game, but moving on...At first, it was really confusing because three people showed up to the table, one to bring to bring the chips (odd character) , one to take the actual order and one to take the drinks. The chips were greasy and oversaturated, the salsa was pretty decent, but nothing special When the fajitas came out to the table, it was one of the most underwhelming fajita bring out extravaganzas I've ever witnessed in my natural, born life. I'm used to sizzling, hot plates, extra extraordinary aromatic, as well as a variety of bright and delicious colors.Instead, a dark sludgy mixture of saturated vegetables and half melted butter on top of prefab chicken with fake grill marks came out almost bubbling, as if it had just been thrown underneath the pen and brought to the table, the rice and beans were served on the same plate as the garnishments for the fajitas quotations (gross)When I cut into this prefab chicken, it was very, very rubbery and tough - it is extremely hard to understand how you can screw up prefab chicken because that's the whole point of it, if you don't know what you're doing you can just mix it with anything and it should work out - - but at this Fine establishment, they tried to get cute and dress it up and make it their own, which ended up over cooking it. Also, the sodium content of this dish is extremely unhealthy and should be looked into..Overall terrible experience, and I don't recommend stopping here, oddly enough there was zombies flooding into the place as we were walking out, which made me Question the overall demographic that surrounds this particular location and the brain smarts that go with it.Also, they have a Sister restaurant which is a seafood restaurant, highly unlikely that place is wholesome so keep that in mind if you roll up to some random seafood restaurant that's unbranded or has similar branding, be sure to look at the colors and font use because a lot of these places are lazy and we use the same shit on both establishments. I don't remember the table and chairs being so fancy but they look amazing. The service was great and we didn't have to wait to be helped. Funny thing enough we ordered the same meal, enchilada supreme, it comes with 1 beef, 1 chicken, 1 bean and 1 cheese enchilada along with the lettuce, sour cream and diced tomatoes. It was so very delicious. It came out super fast. I don't think I had 2 sips off my pomegranate margarita before our food arrived.

I don't understand why the reviews for this restaurant location are so low. It's a very attractive , clean restaurant with authentic tex- mex and good service. I lived in Houston for years before moving here. I have tried all the " Mexican " restaurants in Denham Springs, Watson and Walker and this is the best of the bunch.I have tried many menu offerings. They're all good. It's a little more expensive than the competition. The food quality and taste is superb.

I have been here a few times usually for dinner. We are normally seated when we arrive and are greeted quickly. On my most recent visit however, our waitress did not check on us after she first visited our table until 20 minutes later. We started timing how often she came back to check the table and each time it was around 20 minutes which is ridiculous and sort of took away from the experience. I got the mango margarita and it was good, a little different with the Tajin. We ordered the fajitas for two and the portion is very big. Each person gets their choice of other fillers for the fajitas and I chose refried beans and veggies. I liked it butmy guacamole was really just a slice of unripened avocado. Also, we asked the server to bring jalapeños and cheese and they forgot. I enjoyed the food but was disappointed with the service.

We arrived at dinner time on a Friday, and were seated immediately. The restaurant is much bigger on the inside than I expected, and had very nice decor. Not at all what I would have expected, but very nice and clean.We ordered and were served quickly. I ordered a margarita on the rocks and beef enchilada plate. My husband ordered the 4 enchilada plate. We shared a small queso.The margarita tasted a bit watered down tasting with regard to the lime flavor, but the alcohol level was fine. I probably wouldn't order a margarita there again. The queso was very good, but VERY small for the $4.99 price. I posted a picture of a chip next to it for size comparison. VERY small.The enchiladas were okay, but not the best I've had. I enjoyed the atmosphere and everything else was fine, so I'll give them another try and try something different. I'm giving them a three star for now.

Standard Livingston Parish Mexican food, at best. You get your standard bar area, your standard margaritas flare, standard service, and standard food. They do not do seafood as well as other Mexican restaurants, so I suggest sticking to standard chicken/pork/beef. The standout protein here is the steak, real tender and goes great in most of their dishes.It's loud when there's a band, which we didn't know about until after being seated (makes dinner conversation more like being in a loud bar.) Our server this time disappeared for quite some time, but I've been here 4 times and the 3 other times we had excellent servers.This restaurant has the convenience of location going for it, but not much else.

First time here and I was sad to see the 3 star review because our experience was 5 star worthy!! Best Mexican/Tex mex experience we have had yet! We sat at the bar and Carlos took excellent care of us! The drinks were on point and my margaritas were so pretty! Then came the food. Oh, the food!! Delicious!!! We found our New Mexican food place and it's a 30-40 min drive for us and we are okay with that!!

Past 3 online orders have been wrong. No queso, no chips (ordered 2 queso's and extra salsa) and today no salsa and a small instead of large queso. Will not order online or visit inside anymore.

Food was okay but not the best. It was served to us cold. I ordered a steak happy plate and most of my steak was fat. Majority of my meal was cheese. Don't show up thirsty because you will not get a refill. The service was awful. We were there for a long time and our waiter only showed his face about two times.
