Met some friends the other night and we were pleased with everything. Our server was great. He was friendly and checked on us throughout our time there. He even snapped a few pix of us right before we left.The food was really good, really tasty and hot upon arrival. We each enjoyed our meals. I do find them a little pricey, but at least they didn't disappoint with the food.The restaurant was clean so that was a plus as well. It was noisy, but hey, it was a Friday night and people were celebrating birthdays so its to be expected. It's definitely a good spot to enjoy some Mexican food.

This is an honest review of Pedro's Taco and Tequila Bar- with photos. I ordered the speedy Gonzales. Comes with a pulled beef quesadilla, an enchilada, and a Chile relenos. The whole plate was swimming in grease. The only thing edible was the quesadilla. That too was greasy, but edible. I did let our server know. She DID ask me if I wanted something else. I personally wasn't waiting or taking a chance on anything else. I did not yell, I did not get loud, I wasn't rude. I absolutely did not eat it.- I told her I wouldn't. Our server wasn't rude- not at all. She was completely inattentive and didn't really seem like she cared one way or the other. There are too many Mexican restaurants in this city to go back for awful food and mediocre ( at best) service. Maybe she was having a bad day.. I don't know. I hope it gets better for her.So, recap- I paid full price for food that was disgusting and didn't eat. Yeah- not going back there. Who thinks that management will ever see the comments on the reciept?? I don't.

The absolute WORST restaurant in slidell. Red flags from start to finish. The server was slow (she was new and knew nothing, we gave her a pass). The drinks were TERRIBLE! The margaritas tasted like nasty sugar water, ZERO alcohol. The bartender needs to be fired immediately, she sucks. Several items like appetizers came after I the entree came. Never brought our wrong tacos back out and the food that came had no flavor & was cold. There's no excuse, the restaurant was dead on a Friday night. We told the manager everything and he refused (possibly a language barrier) to take off the untouched drink. We will never ever EVER step foot in this dump. I guarantee you they will close soon, these scammers won't make it to next year! Save yourself and pick ANYWHERE else in slidell

I ,and my two companions decided to stop at Pedro's for an early dinner late lunch. We were promptly seated at our table and the waitress came up and we placed Hour drink order and then I placed an order for guacamole upon receiving the drinks and the guacamole. I was very unimpressed with the guacamole. It seemed to be lacking flavor and consistency and then we made our dinner order. I ordered the steak taco Mexicano, my companion ordered a chicken taco Mexicano and my other companion ordered a steak nachos upon receipt of our items. My steak tacos are very good. My companion had the chicken tacos, complained that the chicken was very dry and unappealing, and my companion who ordered the steak nachos was unimpressed with the cheese as well as it being very sparsely put on the nachos as well as lack of tomato and other seasonings, but the service was good, but for the amount of money that we paid for this late lunch early dinner it was not value for our money

The food and service is very good. My table wobbled the Manager Claudia adjusted the knobs on the bottom of the table and the wobble stopped that's service!

Did get there 30 minutes before closing but sat for 20 minutes before my friend had to go find someone to take our drink order. He still took it and had to come back and clarify. We could have pretty much been in and out .

I know I just may have not found the perfect spot in Cali for Mexican food but I'm Slidell I hit the jackpot. Pedro's was amazing. From the customer service to the entertainment. We sat outside like the three amigos and enjoyed great margaritas, conversation and great food. The waitress was polite and took very good care of us. The food topped all other Mexican I've had this year and when I finally get back home I will be visiting here again. I had the nachos and it was huge serving enough for two easily. The flavor was a dance party in my mouth.

The food was pretty good but the service was terrible; our server did not check on us while we sat outside. My friend asked for another beer after hes been waiting for her to come back. she never brings it. she didnt offer us any napkins or dessert. the restaurant was not busy due to the parades on the other side of slidell. Just overall mid level service and still expects us to tip 20% ? Try hiring people who actually want to work

I immediately noticed from the menu that the prices are about 30-40% higher than the typical Mexican restaurant. And there are plenty of them. But we were in the area and gave it a try. Probably the most bland, unremarkable children burrito ever. Chicken very dry. And the price for two people with nonalcoholic drinks was over $50 with tip. Oh and did I mention that the service was bad. But I still tipped. Never again.
